My 5 Top Outsourcing & Hiring Hacks - Plus A Time Sensitive Opportunity You Need To See!

video we're gonna cover my five favorite
hacks for finding great talent when
looking for outsourcers and teammates
sometimes it can feel like you're
looking for a needle in a haystack I
totally get it I've been there and I've
got a few ways that I kind of weed out
the competition
to find the few people the handful the
four or five eight p
eople that I
actually want to get on skype with and
do an interview with and a quick way to
eliminate the eighty ninety percent of
people who aren't really gonna have
enough attention to detail for the job
now Before we jump into it I want to
cover why it's important for you to be
outsourcing specific tasks and that is
so you can find identify create and move
into more opportunities now when I was
handling customer support for my main
business with my wife and I I had no
time to create these videos so we've
hired somebody in customer support and
now I've freed up the time to launch
this brand the miles Becker brand to
create these kinds of videos and really
once I got going with these videos I
wanted to get this content out into the
audio form on my podcast well that's
something I hired out because I didn't
want to distract myself from creating
these videos so I hired out a teammate
to take the audio track and get it on to
my podcast feed then I wanted to get the
content on to my blog so I've hired out
a team to transcribe the content to edit
the content to make it great and I've
even got a guy who's separate from them
that does the layout creates the
graphics to get it on to my blog and
what I'm trying to show is how I've
created an opportunity to create more
content and get more reach on my content
by bringing on teammates now I wonder
and I'm curious do you feel like you're

and now on to the 5 hacks to growing
your business with teammates and how to
really hire the teammates so the first
thing that I like to do number one is I
research teammates before ever putting
up a job listing so now my approach used
to be put up a job listing and react to
all of the applicants that I received
now I spend time on the platforms and it
doesn't matter what platform it is but I
spend time looking for the right kinds
of people first if I'm on Fiverr I'm
looking in the gigs and the rest excuse
me if I'm on Craigslist I'm looking in
the gigs and the resume side of things
if I'm on up work I'm looking through
people who have applied to past jobs
that are similar to what I want to
accomplish right I search for the task
name and then I go in and look and I'm
looking at their reviews I'm looking at
their experiences and I'm creating a
shortlist of applicants I'm actually
interested in same thing with online
jobs dot pH I'm going in and I'm
actually digging through their database
now this takes time but it helps me
create a shortlist of people I'm most
interested in working with so I can
reach out to them once I put the job
listing live which I often do private
and live because I don't really want
hundreds and hundreds of responses I
really want the key players so my first
tactic my first hack is to really do the
research first find the people get a
shortlist of people who I want to apply
to the job then once I've launched the
job I reach out to them individually and
I request that they join number two is
my job listing leads with my name
I will say hey I'm miles and I run a
small digital media business and I'm
looking for help with blank so when I do
that I add my name to the very beginning
of the job listing I'm looking in their
cover letter did they greet me by my
first name now this is a very sneaky
tactic that has really a good test for
their attention to detail if they're
just using a generic kind of greeting to
me when I've put my name in the job
listing and they're not adding that to
their cover letter I know that they
don't have the kind of attention to
detail to dig in to really pay attention
to potentially work with my business
that's the first way I'm eliminating
people is when I see these generic kind
of greetings in their cover letters I
put my name in the beginning I end with
my name and the job listing and I want
to see them greet me by name because
that's what I want them to do with my
customers and that's the attention to
detail I want in my business the third
one is I require them to take a 16
personalities test now I covered that in
a recent video actually it's one six
personalities calm and I tell them if
you're interested in this job go to the
16 personalities test take the test and
send me the link to your actual
description of your personality type now
I've had people reply with the four
letter personality type that they have
I've had people reply with PDFs of of
they're kind of printout of what they
got of the drop of their personality
description I asked for the link and I
want to see the actual URL this serves
two purposes again I'm testing their
attention to detail and second I can
click on it and go read about them and
there's a section I think it's section
six or seven inside of that report that
tells me who they're compatible with and
I'll make sure they're compatible with
Melanie and I I'm really looking for
people who compliment Melanie and my and
you will look for people who complement
your personality type and the
information is in there you can also
look at the job roles that that person I
type is often good at and you want to
see if there's a mesh there because
sometimes when people need income
they'll apply for absolutely every job
whether they're qualified or not and
obviously we're hiring for the long term
so we're looking for people who are
great and have a personality type that
will help them be great for that
specific task I think that's a really
good hack I used to hide an easter egg
was like oh say green bamboo and you're
in your application I don't do that
anymore because I just have them I just
require them to go take this personality
test they're not willing to take 15
minutes to do a personality test and
send that over perfect i'ma cross them
off the list and I'm gonna move on to
the next one then I request or require
them to add a YouTube video now I don't
make it sound like it's required I say
I'm requesting for you to do a YouTube
video please introduce yourself tell me
why this job is great for you right now
and show me around your workspace if you
have a home office I want to see where
you're working from now this scares a
lot of people right to go on video is
actually super scary for a lot of people
and that's fine because my teammates are
going to be able to jump on a video call
a Skype call and I want to do two things
number one again are they willing to and
able to pull out their cell phone create
a video upload it to YouTube and send me
a link and then I want to vibe them out
I won't have that moment of the ability
to look into their eyes and really to
kind of have a connection with them and
just see who they are I do like seeing
what their workspace is one time I saw a
guy was he had himself pinned in on the
kitchen kind of right next to the
refrigerator and I just felt that would
be too distracting if he's got a family
and I've seen other people who show me
their dedicated work spaces that are
quite good and you really could learn a
lot about people in a quick one to two
minute video and that's what I'm looking
for so it's do they have enough ambition
and willingness are they hungry enough
for the job to create that video which
would be out of their comfort zone if
they are that's great and then I'm
looking who are they what's their story
I want to hear a little bit about their
story and I want to see their workspace
I'm not judging this too much like
people are nervous people kind of trip
over their words and that's that's okay
I'm not looking for a polished video I'm
looking for their willingness their
ambition to create the video and I want
to see a little bit of honesty and just
kind of get a moment of kind of meeting
them if you will in a virtual sense but
visibly right I think there's a lot of
cues that you can kind of lean on and
learn about from a person from watching
a video I think video is really powerful
in that sense and then finally number
five is my whole goal in this process is
to learn about their story I don't
really care that much and I do I carry a
bit about their past experiences but
like I said I've already gone through
and created a short list of people who I
know have the
past experiences those are the people
I'm inviting to the job and I like to
invite 20 to 30 people to my job so I
spend a lot of time researching who I'm
gonna invite but then I'm trying to get
their story out and I ask for this in
the cover letter I ask for this in the
video and I often have to ask more about
this when I get to the interview phase
and again I want to know about their
story why right now why is right now the
absolute best time for them to commit to
my business why are they out of work
right now what are they looking to do
what are their goals what do they want
to create what is the lifestyle that
they want to create so this is the kind
of information that means the most to me
then I'll give you an example my
customer support grow when I first found
her I asked her to a video tell me about
yourself tell me about your situation
and why right now is important and she
told me this story and it was beautiful
I loved it the video is great and she
began to tell a story about herself and
in the story she was explaining how she
used to work in the BPO world which is
essentially it's like the outsourcing of
customer support to the Philippines and
she was a manager or a team lead at that
point but she had a really long commute
she was commuting an hour and a half
each way and now she has a fiance she
was about to get married she wants to
eventually have kids and raise kids and
she wants to migrate and move her
lifestyle into a lifestyle that allows
her the freedom of lifestyle to work
from home to still create the income she
needs to live but to have that freedom
and flexibility to raise a family and as
she's explaining this she got off on
this tangent about her family and about
her her fiance how she wants to grow
family and this and that and talking
about her world and she caught herself
as she was like oh my gosh I can't
believe I just told you all of that and
then she went back to kind of business
mode and then she went back into that
box of this is supposed to be a video
resume I loved that she was willing and
she went down that path to share her
story and her reason why it was
important for her to land a full-time
long-term customer support management
position with a digital company that
gave her the lifestyle freedom when I
knew that part of her story and I saw
her light up about her family her kids
the freedom etc I knew I had the right
kind of person on for me
she definitely deserved the next level
of interviews and then we went on the
next levels interview she passes she's
been with me for over two years now and
again it was really that story it was
her willingness to be honest to be
vulnerable to share a bit about her life
her story it made sense and you'll be
able to tell when you look for that
story you're like why are they there now
why are they applying right now are they
gonna be with me in three to five years
because I don't like hiring rehiring
training and Retraining people every six
months or every few years someone's not
right for the job I will let them go
I'll fire them and try again but when I
get the right person I'm gonna pay them
better than they could make in their
home country I'm gonna make sure they do
not go look for another job right I pay
them very well and make sure they have a
lot of lifestyle freedoms and I want
them to be as committed to my business
as my business is committed to them for
the long term so I can then do what
focus on more opportunities create more
opportunities for my business I hope

consume this content is it super helpful
but pay attention to how he's doing what
he's doing the words he's using his
headlines add this one to the swipe file

what are the right kinds of
opportunities what opportunities match
