video is about downside risk potential
so the potential for risk for you as an
entrepreneur is all around and I think
that it's important for you to become
comfortable with that realization and
what I'm gonna share with you here in
this video will help you have an aha
moment that's gonna lead you to be more
confident and more comfortable making
decisions both big and small in the
future you're gonna understand how not
understanding this keeps so many people
stocks of your feeling stock this one's
huge if you're on the path and you want
to open up to the next levels this is
where it's at so downside risk potential
right the the real idea here is that
every coin has two sides you've heard
that phrase used or some variation of
that phrase used for sure you know well
there's the other side to the coin and I
don't care if it's the niche that you're
choosing whether it's a software
application that you're looking at
whether it's the website builder whether
it's the actual business model drop
shipping versus affiliate marketing
making courses FBA whatever it is they
all have downside risk potential every
software solution that you're ever going
to look at has downside risk potential
every business every niche
everything has downside risk potential
and here's what's going on a lot of
individuals are trying to find the
by calling it the right option and they
end up looking for a new web building
system and then all of a sudden three
weeks later haven't made a decision yet
still knee-deep in reading reviews
watching video reviews and analyses
which are extremely biased because
they're all promoted and touted by
affiliates and then looking at the pros
and cons and looking in the prices and
just literally going back and forth like
a like a game of ping-pong back and
forth and love this one or that one or
this one or this one or that one and
they do nothing and doing nothing is the
ultimate problem right the one
consistent factor around all of the
successful digital entrepreneurs I know
and I've met along the years they're all
big-time action takers and most of them
are blaze forward take action
quick can we implement this I don't even
care what I'm on let's just go go go go
go we'll figure out how to deal with the
problems that come up from all this
massive action later whereas the people
who don't take action to get stuck in
inaction and ultimately overwhelm
themselves they're trying to figure out
not only how to get going forward but
what am I going to do about all those
little problems I'm going to leave in my
wake as I'm blazing forward did you
catch that distinction like literally
that is a million-dollar distinction
right there successful people care most
about speed of implementation the
minimum viable funnel the minimum viable
products the minimum viable whatever it
is right the minimum viable membership
program they just run forward when I
launched my membership program I had
like two things inside of it and a
really long sales letter I wanted to
test it as fast as I possibly could if
nobody bought it I'm not gonna build a
bunch of stuff in there I'm not gonna
waste a bunch of time there I'm not
gonna put a bunch of automations in
place if nobody actually wants this I
need to get data really quickly to
figure out if people want this
so what platform do I choose well I
don't know they all got problems and
when you realize it's so empowering when
you actually realize deep down they're
like well they all got problems you just
choose one that you're like I'm just
gonna go with that one and then when you
choose it stick with it as long as
humanly possible I was on clickfunnels
at what one point I drank the kool-aid I
gave it a shot and I stuck with it
through some immense challenges right
going back and forth with support
actually went to their event at one
point to sit down with support cuz their
support was gonna be there so I went all
the way to San Diego to show them a bug
to show them this problem that kept
coming up over and over and people
weren't getting access to what they were
buying and I dealt with all those
problems it was when I found out that it
was dropping subscription payments and
delivering my products cost me over
$10,000 bingo that's the moment I knew
it was imperative when when it hit the
pocketbook when I lost 10 grand I look
back I was like damn I lost 10 grand
like just gone thank you oh no thank you
but like that was the moment that the
downside risk realized was so intense
that I had to make a move right and so
I'm on another system on it like man if
you knew if you literally knew how
duct-taped and zip-tied my websites
actually are like the WordPress runs
good the server is strong but like we've
kind of got this system that kind of
talks to that system then it runs over
here and then my VA is got to pop in and
double-check this and then my VA
manually adds them to the Facebook group
when they do this and right like there
is no unified perfect system that makes
everything work we made the best
decision we could with the information
we had that fit the budget we had at the
time we committed to it and one of them
I've been on it for four or five years
I'd love to be on a new system but the
opportunity cost of changing and then
when I change that next system is going
to have its own problems because they
all have problems and I look at this and
I'm kind of smiling as I explain this
because this is empowering once you
realize that they all got issues and
they all got problems and you're gonna
be dealing with problems and issues
either way it's like cool I'm gonna
choose the best one I can get my hands
on right now for me right now today
personal opinion as of March just look
at my calendar March 19th 2019 a
wordpress based website is by far the
best solution for professionals if
you're a true professional you want to
grow a real business I'm talking paying
off mortgages and like definitely
WordPress and thrive themes that theme
allows you to build out all the funnels
you want all the landing pages you want
you do your split testing you can split
test headlines you can split test
everything inside of it and then other
when you go past that it's it's a wash
it's a big toss up I use thrive cart a
lot right now and then I'm delivering on
you know back in the WordPress through
the apprentice system which is built
into thrive right so it's all it's all
kind of in there it ain't perfect but it
works and it's been working for me
pretty bulletproof it's not dropping
payments it's not losing money I'm able
to plug the holes in my phone all my
running split tests it's it's easy
enough to use it had a learning curve
but I get it now I know how to use it at
this point and it's really extremely
easy to customize and that I value big
time right now is my ability to
customize the experience for my for my
customers and my clients because at this
point there's so many me to marketers
out there like swiping and deploying and
trying to all promote the same stuff
that you got to differentiate yourself
and I
the ability to create unique experiences
for my people and that's what I really
really focus on so that's the big idea
here is you're never going to get away
from the downside risk you're never
gonna get away from the fact that that
coin has another side there's an
unfortunate side but this can empower
you
it can empower you so you're just like
okay cool well they all got problems
fine I'm look at him well this one it
fits the budget it looks like you can do
I've read a few reviews seems like
people actually like this thing I'm
gonna go for it and then go for it and
then you go all-in you learn it you get
the maximum you can out of it and you
move forward from there just a quick
note if you're if you're in this process
of trying to figure out how to put all
the membership site stuff together and
how to get it all to talk together my
friend Dave Wooding at integrate procom
built all of mine he runs and manages I
keep on a retainer pay him 500 bucks a
month to just be there to help me kind
of make sure all all that works and to
build on automations highly recommend
him and the idea here is to find a
someone you can trust who has the skills
on the tech side if the tech isn't your
solid side because then you're in a
position to you say focus on content
content content audience growth
conversions delivering with excellence
right the three levels of content that
we talked about in a previous video you
stay focused on that and you have a tech
teammate on the other side if you're on
the other side of that coin and you're a
tech person you want to hire out writing
it's possible but it's gonna come with
downside risk because everything in this
world comes with downside risk and you
as an opportunity are one who takes on
additional risk with the potential for
increased rewards by essentially
reallocating value in this world right
you take the ideas that you have that
you've learned that you found that
you've discovered and you help condense
those ideas down into a blog post that
helps somebody searching on Google how
to blank and your blog post explains
that they find you they want more of
your content you're essentially adding
more value to their lives you're taking
time out of your life to add value to
their lives that is the value mechanism
that earns you income and in that entire
process the whole game is risky right
well what if you don't get picked up by
Google what if it doesn't rank what if
it doesn't work what if it takes five
years what if the fake
who's wrong and it's not a thirty-day
trick which is not right that's what we
do as entrepreneurs and when you just
get ok with that and you just move
forward either way make sure your bases
are covered have a job man boy I had a
job for years and years and years when I
was building my business so I had to
support my entrepreneurial habit because
I was just losing money and spending
money on stuff for the first four years
so I kept a full-time job to keep that
up because all that risk was on my
shoulders and I couldn't handle that and
pay my bills right so I kept a job to
account for the risk but the upside
potential of being an entrepreneur has
created a lifestyle for me today that is
absolutely remarkable and like it's just
impossible to achieve this kind of a
lifestyle in a traditional job from from
what I could tell I've never there's
it's just impossible right I've worked
from 20-something countries around the
world lives on beaches all around the
Pacific Ocean so it's worth it and
that's the last note and that's why I
went on this little tangent I just want
you to know that that it's worth it to
take on the risk do so in a calculated
fashion right don't take all in all the
risk with no other income source going
on that'd be ridiculous you need to have
both you need to make sure you got both
sides of that coin cash flows good great
got a job awesome
well let's increase the risk a little
bit and massively increase the income
potential because that job is gonna cap
you out whether it's 50 grand a year 100
randi or 200 grand a year from an
affiliate business or an internet
marketing business done right could be
two three five seven nine million
dollars a year when you apply enough so
is the risk reward potentially there are
there pitfalls are there challenges
yeah for sure it's the amount of time it
takes an incredible amount of time right
but that's where we live in we live in a
world of duality there's light there's
dark there's up there's down there's
north or south there's in there's out
everything in this world has duality
which means that every software product
you ever look at every theme every
template every shopping cart every niche
every business model is also going to
have its form of duality that's what
this whole video has been about but now
you know and now you understand that
there's downside potential and
everything you can be okay with that
you can make decisions more quickly you
can get to speed of implicit speed of
implementation on your side that is the
path to growth that is the path to
getting out of the risk and the losing
one
phase into the reward phase of being an
entrepreneur I hope this has been
