hey miles here miles Becker calm in this
video you're going to understand the
truth that you can only connect the dots
looking backwards and what that means
for your business now this is a little
bit of an abstract idea but it's a
business because so many people are
trying to understand how all the pieces
of the puzzle fit before getting started
and the truth is and anyone who's
created a successful business knows this
is the only time you actually see how
all of the pieces to the puzzle fit
together is when you're looking back at
all the ways it didn't work and you
happened to find the one that did and
this is what I want you to really get at
the core of your being because this will
unlock you and it'll free you so you can
start making forward progress
even if it's not perfect progress for it
because ultimately you need to be taking
action forward you need to get started
you need to start publishing you need to
put up an opt-in page and begin the
process of building your list well but I
don't know what my audience is gonna
opt-in for great neither did I I started
with a meditation for business here on
the miles becker channel which is a
total miss right that is not the
compelling thing that my audience wants
but it's something i was able to put
together relatively easily because i
have a software that allows me to create
these things and i've helped make a
hundred or more meditations for my main
business so I did what was relatively
easy and I kept taking progress forward
with my youtube videos poco poco poco
little by little I just kept doing more
doing more creating more publishing more
then I tried my second version when I
got really deep in the Facebook videos I
put out a new opt-in that was a case
study I created a separate case study
and that was another opt-in it worked
okay now I'm on the third version which
is my million dollar business blueprint
that kind of follows my path from a side
hustle to generating over a million
dollars in profit online and I'm giving
that course away for free that's the
most compelling offer it took me over 12
months to get that figured out correctly
and to get that built and installed so
for 12 months I'm just kind of trying
things right a little of this I'm trying
that I'm trying this I'm trying that now
I'm able to look back and I can see
clearly like oh of course that's the
most compelling thing but in the moment
I was just
doing the best I could with the
information the time and energy that I
had and now looking back it all makes
perfect clear sense but it didn't when I
was in the middle of it and that's how
building your business is going to be
for you it's not going to make sense
when you're in the middle of everything
when you're in the trenches you're
looking around whoa what's going on you
feel like it's a little bit of a state
of disarray
that's okay keep taking steps forward
try to make the most strategic action
you can try to follow one path one
process for long enough till you see the
results and then when you start to look
back you're like okay so that didn't
work but then that led me over to here
to this that kind of work and then I
found that and boom that finally clicked
the path continues to appear because we
keep taking steps forward the patent no
one knows how they're going to
accomplish what they're cannot
accomplish when they realize they're
gonna do something big in this world
Elon Musk
creating SpaceX or Tesla right Henry
Ford creating the the Ford Motor Company
that was absolutely the Elon Musk
of his day right all of the great
creators inventors marketers no one knew
how everything was gonna work when they
were getting started all they knew that
they were gonna figure it out all they
knew is that they were ultimately going
to create the success that they desired
and they continued finding things that
didn't work until they aligned with a
few ways that did work and when we get
to read their biographies and we get to
look back at their stories it's like
well of course that happened and that
happened then they met this person and
named at that person but in the moment
for that entrepreneur or marketer or
whoever they were it was a lot messier
than that and they didn't see the path
they could not see the path from the
forest they just kept taking forward
progress forward progress and the path
continued to appear so remember that you
can only connect the dots when you look
backwards when you look back after
you've done all you've kind of made it
down the path that's when you're able to
look back and see the path so if you're
waiting trying to see the whole path
before you get started know that you're
shooting yourself in the foot from the
get-go and you just need a start take
that first next step make the best guest
step you can and then take another step
and then take another step and then
take another step pretty soon you're
walking do you speed up the pace a
little bit you might get up to a jog
speed up the pace even more hey you
might be running towards your goal now
every steps not going to be on pace
every steps not going to be exactly
where we want to be if you do a little
research you'll find out that every
airplane is off target for about 95 to
98 percent of the time but it's always
correcting itself it's always guiding
itself so that airplane is not pointed
if it's going from San Francisco to New
York it's not directly pointed at New
York every single second of the time
it's actually off course more often than
it's on course but it's those little
course corrections done consistently
while making forward progress is how
that airplane lands at the correct
airport and boy we've got a pretty good
track record of our airplanes they seem
to make it where they're going very very
consistently so there's a few analogies
for you in that I just really want to
encourage you to take action if you're
not taking action yet that's the big
trick don't wait to try to see how
everything plugs in and fits together
because you'll never see it until you
make it all the way there and you look
back and you're like oh that's how it
all worked it's awkward a little bit how
it works because I can look back now and
look at some of the things I did in the
beginning and some of the things that
are working for me right now it's like
oh well of course that was gonna work
but boy in the middle of it in the thick
of it I didn't see it I had no idea and
I've been doing this for a long long
time started making my money my first
money online 15 years ago the videos the
kind of pieces of this miles back of a
puzzle that are generating the most
revenue for me I had no clue what they
were going to be when I got started
looking back now uh-oh of course that of
course it makes perfect sense now I
didn't see it for six months moving
forward right so even someone like
myself who's been doing this for a very
long time have been full-time online
since 2010 right even me I'm like I
didn't see it I didn't see it when I was
moving forward but I kept moving forward
and now looking back like well of course
that clicked of course that's what
worked the best it makes clear sense to
me now but that's in hindsight hindsight
is 20/20 my friends so when you could
only connect the dots when you look back

go through your forward progress
sometimes it's through taking action in
the wrong direction where we learn what
the right direction for us to go is not
standing here in one place analyzing the
different directions this way or that
way this way or that way that's not how
it works
we sometimes blazed a trail down one
direction and when that doesn't work we
hard cut it up a mountainside to catch
that of the trail because we know that
the trails up there so I hope this has
