marketing a YouTube channel or a blog in
my personal opinion let me tell you
right away
better to have both in reality is that
both of these platforms both of these
let's say approaches are extremely
powerful have amazingly high potential
in revenue and scalability it's possible
to scale both of them it's possible to
run ads on both of them but the best way
to run both of them at the same time as
well but in order to avoid spreading
thin and to focus on only one platform I
recommend it to choose the one that you
personally like not exactly what you
like what kind of stuff from you person
like to have a website or to have a
YouTube channel I would go from the
point what is easier and more
interesting for you to do what kind of
activity to write articles or to shoot
videos I believe for the majority of
people for the for most of the beginners
will be easy to start writing articles
because you know we all write something
we all write emails we all write
messages letters essays at school like
you know writing is part of our lives
doesn't matter if we ever shoot videos
or not and shooting videos especially
presenting yourself in front of the cam
like I'm doing right now you know for
many people it's a bit uncomfortable and
challenging and when we're talking about
starting affiliate marketing business
for beginners you know it's already
going outside their comfort zone and
there are a lot of challenges there are
a lot of stuff to consume and process to
succeed to you know to to reach some
sort of goals and results to make sales
and shooting videos on top of all that
can be a little bit overwhelming
especially if you are a beginner so my
suggestion number one is to go with what
is easier and more interesting for you
if it's easier to shoot videos by all
means go ahead and create a YouTube
channel and start with YouTube channel
and then down the road at some point you
will be ready to create a website lead
generation page kind of opt-in page or
blog and the other way around if you are
more comfortable writing articles than
by all means create a bold and start
writing articles and publishing to your
blog and at some point down the road you
will be able to create a channel and the
catch up with videos as well but as I
mentioned at the beginning of the video
the ideal scenario would be to create
both of them and run simultaneously here
is how you can do this if you prefer
writing articles fast then you can write
an article published your book and then
shoot a video on the same exact topic so
you can even don't even have to show
your face in front of the camera to do
this all you can do is screen capture
your laptop your computer and just talk
about the same topic like shooting
literally your blog post so you open
your website open your blog post your
blog post should look like you know with
pictures and just look nicely with nice
theme and just as I teach in my
affiliate marketing course and you just
screen capture your computer
you're opened website your that blog
post on the topic that you're shooting
video and just go over this blog post
you don't read maybe some kind of put
some economic crisis or some paragraphs
you can read but it has to sound natural
you just talk let's say provide some
kind of summary on this topic on this
blog post and then in the description of
this of the video or that video that
you're shooting put the link to the blog
post and that's it
so people will see that in addition to
this video you actually publish a blog
post so they can click the link in the
description of the video and go read
your blog post and this way you will be
building backlinks to your blog post
through YouTube channel and for people
it will be quite easy to find out about
you about your website I feel at web
site about your blog through YouTube and
go visit your website read your articles
and so on in addition to that every
single time people will share a video on
their website with their friends they
will create another backlink to your
blog post because you have in the
description of that video you have a
backlink to your blog post and to
cross-promote your YouTube channel you
can embed that video into your blog post
so that blog visitors that are coming up
to your blog to read your articles from
Google search from forums from other
websites they will see also that you
have YouTube channel they will if you
they prefer to watch a video instead of
reading they will be able to watch that
here on your website or to go to YouTube
and even subscribe to your channel so as
you can see this is a win-win situation
so these two platforms go together a
