on their face and they looked up and
they just did that for 20 minutes a day

smile and look up what they found was
they weren't able to be depressed you

look up you know try to get depressed I

to be frustrated you can't because
you're biochemically when you do that
when you smile and you look up your

antidepressants and had a long-term
effect on them as well and it was just
so powerful that they were able to
accomplish this just by doing that
everyday a lot of them habitually
changed the way they use their facial
expressions because typically right now
we have a habitual way of using our body
you know we've all heard the expression
that emotion is created by motion and
that the more that you move and and use
your body it biochemically affects how
you feel your facial expressions your
breathing your posture your gestures all
the different aspects of how you use
your body if you want to be more alive
then use more of your body if you want
to be more than use more and so when you
use your body in this kind of way and
you you start to break out of those
habits that you already have if you're
depressed or frustrated or angry or
whatever emotional states that you
experience on a regular basis you have a
habitual way of using your body that
allows you to experience those states
and so at first I might feel weird for
you it might feel weird to start smiling
right your face isn't used to that your
facial muscles have never done that
before or it's just not used to or maybe
your face actually gets tired after
smiling for like thirty seconds just
because you haven't used those muscles
and so long and so when you actually
practice this and you do it everyday and
you just smile everyday and you force
yourself to do it and you force yourself
to look up then you will experience
profound effects because you're
habitually changing the way you use your
body which will change the way that you
feel you know what if you just had a
morning ritual where every single
morning you did this every single
morning for 20 minutes you set your
timer you know you sit down and you
stand up and you just look up put a big
smile on your face you know do 20
minutes a day you did that for a month
how would that change your life do you
think that maybe now you might start
automatically smiling because of it you
just conditioned it so much maybe you
know when you wake up in the morning you
might find yourself smiling for no

built that habit of smiling that it just
