How She Built Her YouTube Channel To 50,000 Subscribers

everyone this is stefan from
projectlifemastery.com and today i mean
joined with my beautiful girlfriend
tatyana from lux health and today I
wanted to bring Tatyana on the channel
just to pick her brain and have her
share with you guys a little bit about
her story and journey to building her
YouTube channel luxe health Tatiana just
hit fifty thousand subscribers on
YouTube congratulations you're gonna get
it 100k pretty soon I think because you
know as you know at this point it just
scales up pretty fast and so I just
wanted you maybe share with people a
little bit about your YouTube channel
you know when did you start it how did
you start it and what's been the journey
like been like for you sure well hello
guys thanks for having me
yeah so I mean I think I've said it
before but I I never really wanted to
start a YouTube chan
nel this guy kind of
pushed me but I'm really grateful that
you did because YouTube is amazing and
the thing is this video is everything
nowadays video so important and I feel
like you know a lot of people want to
start YouTube channels but figure out
what your reason brought why I don't
think that everybody needs a YouTube
channel but I mean it's obviously
something that you can do with your
spare time to have fun but I really
think it's really an asset to have for a
business so a lot of businesses aren't
really leveraging YouTube right now a
lot of big companies they don't put out
video content and I think it's one of
the best ways that you can grow a
business so in my opinion I think that
there's a few key demographics that can
be great for starting a YouTube channel
and I think one is if you have a new
business that you want to start or if
you're part of the business I think
video is a great way to kind of share
that with people
number two is if you have a talent of
some sort or a skill that you want to
share with people you know Stephan he
has such a great he's such a great
wealth of knowledge and he's sharing
that with everyone and that's so
valuable and can we imagine if he didn't
start his YouTube channel he wouldn't
have impacted all the hundreds of
thousands of people that he has impacted
so people like that or people who you
know might have a talent with beauty and
makeup and things like that or people
who are funny you know comedic comedy
like entertainment
or people who want to kind of just like
break through that barrier of being shy
you know it's really a limiting thing to
be very sometimes very shy and self low
self-confidence and I think that YouTube
it's such a whelming experience
sometimes just imagining filming
yourself and putting yourself on YouTube
can be very scary but by doing it that's
the best way to conquer your fears by
actually going ahead and doing it so I
think those are great options for me I
felt like I never fit any of the
criteria above so that's why I never
kind of started with my YouTube channel
but initially I actually realized that
no I'm gonna start my Amazon business
and so that's when I actually decided to
start my YouTube channel and so I
started just by sharing my products just
sharing tutorials sharing how to use it
sharing what it does and and slowly
slowly it started picking up traffic and
I have to say that in the beginning
you're pretty much talking to yourself
for a really long time like nobody's
watching your videos and nobody's really
finding your videos so it can be
discouraging because you say why I'm
putting in all this effort into
recording videos and editing them and
then uploading them and nobody's coming
but the beauty of YouTube is that
there's the compound effect it really is
imp to play you know after you know
video after video after video eventually
you start getting these views and once
you hit a thousand subscribers for me
from a thousand to ten thousand went
really quickly it really grew at a rapid
rate and I think I don't know what the
algorithm is with YouTube but I think
you know it works in little spurts so
like you get to ten thousand and then
it's out there like a quick jumper or a
longer jump I don't really know how it
works but the compound effect is at play
and eventually you get more subscribers
and it's really so cool and so fun to
get these subscribers because now I feel
like they're my friends I feel like
everybody on my youtube channel is my
friend I know the people who comment the
most frequently I know everybody the
people who are like the first ones to
comment they have the notification on
and it's it's really fun I feel like
yeah they're my online friends and I
love to share content and and help
people more because you feel like
there's a real connection there so it's
been a great experience for me and it
continues to grow you know like you said
it
hopefully gets to a thousand subscribers
soon hundred thousand subscribers soon
and that would be awesome cool so how
long ago did you start yeah I think I
think it was about two years ago yeah
two years ago we started and yeah I kind
of found my niche I think that's kind of
one of the key things with YouTube is
that there's a lot of people on YouTube
and I mean you know you don't have to be
so unique that you're the only person
shooting up this type of content on
YouTube but you do need a sort of edge
and you need to have that that X Factor
something that differentiates you from
the rest and everyone has that you just
have to figure out what yours is and for
the longest time I didn't know what what
mine was and so then I finally figured
out you know what I'm just gonna become
an expert at something and for me that
something was waste training and that's
kind of how I got into my product and
it's a long story but I became kind of
like the authority about waste training
on YouTube and from there my channel
grew because people knew that if they
wanted to learn about waste training
they could go directly to my channel and
see that advice and they get the
information they need and same with you
you know you're an expert on morning
rituals on goal setting on a variety of
different things that are in circle life
mastery and so people know that they can
reliably come to your channel when they
need that so when you first started so
it sounds like you just kind of tried a
few different things it took you a while
to really find okay the ways training
that's the one you want to go deep with
and finding that niche but when you're
first I guess in that process and you're
not really getting views or much
traction what what motivated you to keep
going cuz a lot of people they give up
right a lot of people like oh I'm doing
these videos no one's watching it no
one's benefiting from it but you kept
going with it and I know the great thing
is those videos that you still put up
there they now give use because people
go back to see you know the videos I did
2012 had no views whatsoever but now
they do because you know those videos
have become assets because people do
come back and those are up there for as
long as I choose you know you've been
through that I went through that but
what made you keep going with that yeah
I mean well yeah that's very true and
those first videos now it's a
that embarrassing because I'm like it's
just they don't look good but I keep
them up there because they do get views
but yeah I mean I think the main thing
is just really knowing that you know
you're not the first person that tries
YouTube there's been you know hundreds
of thousands of other youtubers who were
where you're at and people now who have
a million subscribers if you ask them
well when you started did you first you
know get a ton of subscribers right away
they say no like of course not like it
takes time you just have to remind
yourself that this is the process it
works it just takes time and just having
that mindset staying positive and don't
give up on things so easily and I think
you know for me I'm not that type of
person that likes to give up on things I
like to always you know make sure that I
proved my point or I'm successful with
it or whatever it may be whatever your
motivating factor is and so I stayed
motivated that way yeah and I feel like
that was kind of what it was it's just
like knowing that the process works and
just stick to it don't be a dabbler be a
master yeah did you did you have any
like fears around doing you because I
know that's another barrier that people
have is they're self-conscious they're
insecure they they're afraid of other
people gonna think of them their family
their friends all that did you have that
and how'd you overcoming yeah I think I
definitely did because when I initially
started my youtube channel I did it and
actually for the longest time maybe
about two years of my business too I hid
it from everybody I hid it from my
family I hid it from my friends I didn't
want anybody to know about my business
or my YouTube channel or anything like
that because I didn't want them to see
me on video I was really embarrassed
about my videos I was embarrassed about
like just speaking in front of the
camera and I did the videos anyways like
I recorded them I didn't really care if
strangers watched them it was more so my
friends from high school and just my you
know friends in general and you know it
wasn't that long ago that actually
overcame that it was probably about
maybe six months to a year ago where I
actually said you know what screw this
people obviously are enjoying my content
I'm adding some kind of value to them
otherwise they wouldn't subscribe to me
so why am i embarrassed of that and just
really building more confidence within
me
really just helped me and then what I
did is I publicly shared it and I kind
of shared it all over my Facebook all of
my friends from high school saw
everybody knows now and that was just
kind of a stepping stone so I feel like
sometimes you figure out what your
limiting beliefs are what your limiting
factors are and figure out how to
overcome them and sometimes it is
publicly posting things and I know for
you you publicly share your goals every
single year and that holds you
accountable to it and for me the same
thing with my videos also the more
subscribers you get the more accountable
you are to your YouTube channel because
they rely on you to to get those videos
every week and for the longest time I
was kind of like posting a video here
and a posting a video there and not
being consistent and people started to
get upset they say you know tatianna we
look forward to your videos but you're
not sharing them so then I got more
motivated to actually post more
frequently yeah it's almost like you
know when you get the subscribers and
you get the comments and the positive
feedback it gives you confidence to
write because you're like wow like all
these people really love what I have to
share and it's like who cares what
anyone else thinks like these people are
really receiving a lot of benefit and a
lot of value and that changes your whole
mindset about what you're doing so I
think you get a lot of confidence from
that so do you have any other tips for
someone that's getting started I know
you've also you're really good like you
put a lot of attention to like your
thumbnails like those things make a big
difference for you but any other tips
that you have or someone that is being
stored on YouTube um maybe just some
practical tips so I think with YouTube a
great thing to do is to do live videos
because live videos naturally they're
just gonna rank higher in the search
results so if you created a pre-recorded
video with all the same keywords and all
of the same titles and everything versus
a live video the live video is likely
going to reach more people just because
Amazon art not Amazon YouTube is gonna
rank it higher same goes across all
social media platforms so if you do a
live video on Facebook or Instagram
people are gonna be you're gonna get
more eyes to your channel so I think
that's a good tip for starting to get
traffic starting to get more followers
and live videos are awesome to you
because you can actually engage with
your followers I think that's so
valuable because you know what these
pre-recorded videos
it's you know it's you put it out there
and then you check back a week later on
comments and answer them but with the
live videos you can see comments you can
engage and it really builds more of a
connection when it comes to more
practical things like you know
thumbnails I love using canva.com canva
is free which is awesome so basically
what I'll do there is I'll upload a
photo add text to it makes it look
really nice you can also use it to make
blog post photos and different things
like that I also use Pixlr so it's p IX
l are.com which is kind of like an
online photoshop so that's how you can
make some cool thumbnail photos where
you crop out you know maybe we could
prop us out and put us on like a
colorful rainbow background or something
crazy like that also free so definitely
making sure that your thumbnails look
good and then of course you need to make
sure that your description and your
title they're all keyword rich I think a
lot of people get really confused with
keyword research but it's really not
that complicated you can even just
simply go into YouTube type in you know
the keyword of this video so maybe it's
like YouTube tips and then see what auto
populates and then it might be YouTube
tips for beginners and you might say
okay that's a keyword so you can make
that the title of your video or you
could add you know those keywords into
your description and different things
like that so that's gonna help you rank
as well and what else I mean I think
also just kind of like recycling your
content so if you're trying to build a
brand or trying to create a name for
yourself you can actually take your
YouTube videos crunch them down into
like 30-second clips and post them onto
your Instagram page because not everyone
wants to watch a full youtube video some
people just you know like to use
Instagram or or Facebook or whatever
platform it might be so this way you can
appeal to all your followers and have
something for everyone so if someone
just wants to look at your Instagram
stuff you can post it on there as well
yeah I love recycling content because it
takes time to make videos and you want
to use them as much as possible you can
also add them to blog posts and
different things like that
cool awesome so a lot of amazing tips a
lot of great things with your story if
you guys want to learn more about
tatianna check out lux health the
YouTube channel I'll make sure to link
to that
you want to share a little bit what they
can find out what they can expect to if
they subscribe to Lux health yeah so Lux
health is my channel like I said I

content is about waist training but I
also do have different playlists so if
you're interested in health fitness even
business I've got different playlists
for that so whatever you might be
interested in look for that you'll find
something for you there
and hopefully you enjoy it awesome well
thank you guys so much for watching
check out Lux health on YouTube make
