I'm in Rio de Janeiro Brazil right now
on this beautiful mountain and I thought
it'd be another great opportunity for me
to shoot some more videos to answer your
questions so the one question I want to
answer today is how do you become an
Internet Authority now I don't know if I
consider myself an Internet Authority
but I built myself up over the last few
years now to have thousands of followers
and subscribers and I can share with you
guys what I've done to build myself up
to this point I've also built myself as
a Kindle publishing Authority teaching
people how to make money on the internet
and I'm probably the number one person
out there right now that teaches people
that in terms of the course and the
value I provide there as well as just
the self development arena so I can
share with you guys what has worked for
me but I believe that these strategies
can work for you I mean any niche topic
that you want to build yourself up as so
if it's in let's say CrossFit and you
want to become an Internet Authority in
loss or dating whatever niche or topic
out there these strategies can apply for
you now the first thing that's worked
for me and probably most powerful thing
is publishing high quality content tons
of high quality content now the more
content you put out there in the form of
videos just like I'm doing right now as
also written articles I publish on my
blog project like master comm my youtube
channel as well as my podcast as well in
iTunes the more content that you put out
there the more people that you're gonna
reach the more people are going to be
able to discover you and find out about
you and the value that you can provide
okay the more people that you also reach
the more people can actually follow you
as well which is just gonna snowball to
an effect where people are gonna
basically become your fan and follower
and more content you put out from their
ownafter it's gonna grow and grow and
grow because you establish yourself as
an authority okay so number one is
putting out tons of content as much as
you can in my case I put I try to put
out two to three video blogs every
single week using about 8 per month
and I've been inconsistent with that
it's been the one thing that's been
consistent with me for the last few
years that I contribute a lot of my
success to okay putting out high quality
content second piece which I just
mentioned in the last sentence is high
quality content it has to be quality has
to be good it has to be information that
people are gonna find useful people are
gonna actually watch it or read your
article or listen to your podcast and as
they're consuming that information
they're like wow this is really really
good this is good advice I could use
this
it could be stuff that is just gonna be
useful for people that when they apply
it they're gonna get results by whatever
it is that you apply and my philosophy
to high quality content is I always try
to share my best stuff I hold nothing
back
and hope hopefully you guys can feel
that for my videos and my articles I
hold nothing back I try to share as much
as I can there's no secrets that I'm
keeping to myself or anything like that
that have helped me become successful
I'm just sharing everything that I know
and everything that I can to help you
guys and that's my intent that's my
intent with every video it's not as much
about me it's not about how I look it's
not about how I benefit in any way my
primarily my primary motive is always to
serve and to add value because I know
that by adding value and providing
useful content what's gonna happen is
you guys are gonna get results from that
it's gonna benefit you in your life and
as a result you're gonna associate that
back to me
right that's what happens when you apply
information from a certain source so if
I share with you guys a cool technique
let's say a morning ritual okay I go to
my morning ritual video blog my shirt
see guys my morning ritual you guys
apply it to your life
and you started a morning ritual you
start to get great benefits from it you
notice that you're happier you're
healthier you have more energy you're
more motivated and more productive
what's gonna happen is you're gonna
associate those results back to that
video and then back to me and so as a
result of that it's gonna build a deeper
relationship with me it's gonna be able
to level of trust and you're gonna
listen to more
stuff that I have to offer because of
that and you'll also probably maybe buy
stuff for me as well if I put out a
great product or something or a book
you'll probably buy it because you've
already received value and results from
me so you know that the source that
you're getting this information from is
good it is valuable and it is reputable
okay
so high quality content is key and that
people when you get out there on the
internet then you publish a book let's
say a Kindle book or you put out videos
like I'm doing right now you write
articles people automatically put you on
a pedestal and it's a very weird thing
because I don't view myself as better
than anyone I'm just a regular guy I
just you know read a lot of books I've
had certain experiences I've worked hard
and I built myself up to where I am now
but people uh you know when they're
consuming information in this way they
put the personal in a pedestal and they
view them as an authority just just
because the role that's happening right
now by you guys watching the video is
you guys are a little bit more passive
as you're watching you right now
and you're you're in a passive listening
mode and so whenever I've noticed myself
whenever I'm speaking like this or if
I'm in front of the room doing public
speaking people automatically view you
as an authority okay so being in this
role will also make you an authority as
well but of course the content has to be
good if it sucks then of course no one's
gonna follow you know you know if
no-one's benefiting from it then no
one's gonna follow you so it has to be
good so it has to be a lot of content
really good content and then another
piece as well that's been really useful
for me has been being open and
transparent okay because what happens is
when people follow you and you consume
these videos of me or you read articles
for me the more open and transparent I
am the more that you're able to connect
with me the more we're able to build a
relationship a lot of people that have
met at seminars or different events that
have watched my videos and I've never
met before before that they whenever
they approached me they always say I
feel like I know you I feel like our
I've already met you before because
they've watched these videos is already
a level of relationship they know who I
am
but the more that I opened myself up the
deeper the relationship is and that goes
for any relationship out there it could
be dating you meet someone new the more
that the more open you are the more open
they are gonna be with you the more open
that you are the more they're gonna
trust you the more vulnerable that you
are the more they're gonna trust you
so my you know one philosophy that I
have is just being open just being
transparent holding nothing back but
right now I'm sharing with you guys a
trip in Rio de Janeiro Brazil right now
and by you guys seeing me in this way
traveling it helps you get to know me
more and even by sharing stories about
my life you guys knowing where I live in
Vancouver Linnaean that in a penthouse
having a certain car knowing my hobby is
my interest my goals all those sort of
things allows you guys to connect more
with me you know that's why reality TV
is so powerful in fact reality TV
there's probably no useful content from
it but people just love to watch people
on TV living their lives doing whatever
going to the store drama whatever boring
things that they do the drama that's
creating everything they just love
watching that and getting a glimpse into
someone else's world so that's why
reality TV has become so popular people
just love to connect and that sort of
way and follow people and just kind of
follow their lives and with the way the
Internet is now it's become a lot easier
for you to be transparent and open
because with social media that's really
all it is this is basically people
sharing their lives being open you know
so I try to share as much as I can on my
facebook my Instagram my Twitter you
know if you guys follow me on those ways
on Instagram or Facebook you'll see that
I post pictures of my life a lot and a
lot of people that follow me there
aren't just personal friends there's
people that just follow me from my blog
and everything so you're able to get a
glimpse into my world and to you know
what I'm doing is my girlfriend tonight
you know this hike that I'm doing right
now it just allows people to connect and
build a relationship so I found that to
be a really powerful way to build an
online presence and brand it become an
authority is also being relatable and so
I've also found by you
you tube to be a lot more powerful way
to engage with people than just written
content so if you have a blog and you
want to write articles that's a great
way of doing it but honestly doing
videos or even audio with podcast it's
more powerful because there's a deeper
relationship there's a deeper deeper
level rapport that's happening right now
by you guys engaging and watching and
listening to me so those are some of the
most important ways that I've found by
building yourself as an Internet
Authority now the last way that I'm
gonna mention as well is by releasing a
product okay an actual product and in my
case I've written different books like
life mastery written books called Kindle
money mastery Kindle marketing secrets
by publishing books you instantly become
an authority in people's eyes and
publishing a book is actually very very
easy a lot easier than people think but
you know you can outsource books you can
hire other people to write books for you
can hire ghost writers or you could
write it yourself which is anyone can do
in self-published with Kindle but I
remember when I first wrote my book life
mastery and I published it and I shared
it with people on my Facebook page I
remember so many people were so
impressed they're like wow really you're
a published author oh my god like I
remember when I tell people like family
members or friends or people that I meet
they find out I'm a published author
they're like wow it's incredible you're
you know and they see my Amazon page on
my book and it's got all these reviews
and everything and it was a best-seller
at one point if people see that they it
changes their perception of you they're
like wow this guy is not 40 he must know
what he's talking about so having an
actual book is a really powerful way to
become an authority in fact having a
book allows you to get on TV allows you
to get on the radio it allows you to be
interviewed by journalists because they
assume that you're an expert because you
have a book so having a book is powerful
but any product can work I you know my
key aside with creating Kindle money
mastery my video course and other
courses I put out there it's also
allowed me to be an authority as well
because people are learning from me and
they just assume that because this
person has a product he's established
himself and he's an expert on what he's
talking about
okay now I
wait till I knew everything before I did
this stuff either I just you know I
don't I'm not God I don't have all the
answers to life or anything like that
but I just share what I've learned I
just shared the experiences that have
helped me and benefit me to get the
results that I have and I'm gonna give
you guys one more thing one more thing
because I think it's important it's
getting results in your life as well
that's another reason why people follow
me
and it's also build me up as an
authority is having results that other
people want so let's say that you want
to uh you know you want to get in the
weight loss market and you want to teach
people and be an authority with that
well why should anyone listen to you the
reason why they're gonna listen to you
is because you have the result that they
want maybe you're in great shape maybe
you're a fitness model maybe you lost a
hundred pounds you've got the
before-and-after picture you have some
results that people want from you
another thing is well could be you know
in my case has been making money online
for me the more that I've made money
online and the more that I've improved
my lifestyle for example moving into a
penthouse buying a Corvette Stingray the
brand-new one that's actually made me
more money because it's validated my
success it's made me more credible and
more of an authority in my market
because people assume I must know what
I'm talking about because I have results
that they want me being in Rio de
Janeiro right now traveling the world
working for my laptop making passive
income is a result that other people
want they want to be able to travel the
world quit their jobs and be financially
free and so by having those results more
people are gonna listen to you and
follow you as a result of that as well
so make sure that you're creating the
results in your life and you're living
by your standards and you're you're
practicing what you're preaching and if
you can do that and have those results
then people are gonna follow you same
thing goes with CrossFit let's say you
got to be a CrossFit you've got to be
you got to know what you're talking
about you've got to have results that
people want whatever result that is in
the CrossFit market or in the weight
loss market or the putting on muscle
market or the dating market you know
you've got to be good at dating or have
success with that in order for people to
listen to you and the more that you can
prove it and prove that you have the
success
or the result the more credible you're
gonna be there as well okay and you can
also get that proof by the way just by
having testimonials you know I've got
testimonials people that I've worked
with and coached and people have been to
my course that also builds you up in his
authority is having other people say
things about you okay so I just gave you
guys I don't know how much info but I'm
not holding anything back as I said but
you know just a few really important
things that help build me as an Internet
Authority and if you want to build
yourself build your own brand as an
Internet Authority then this can work
for you and anyone else so that's it for
