trick to it all is to grow an audience
of individuals who know you like you and
trust you and then you become a trusted
adviser to them and they'll seek out you
for information for resources for tips
and for recommendations to different
products that'll help them solve their
problems now
the physical mechanism you use to build
this audience is an email list and
growing an email list what you're able
to do is grow an opt-in email list of
individuals who are interested in a
topic that you have a level of expertise
in and then you build a relationship
with these people through creating
follow-up emails and broadcast emails
that assist them in learning more about
their problems learning more about the
solutions and learning more about you
through stories through advice to
helpful information and when the timings
right you're able to offer these
individuals products product
recommendations software recommendations
it varies at what it is and these could
be products that you've created these
could even be products that other people
are creating and you're simply
recommending them you could even simply
offer advertisements you could put paid
advertisements inside of your content
now if it seems like I'm oversimplifying
it in a sense I get it that
makes sense but as a recovering
opportunity seeker who's tried a bunch
of get-rich-quick schemes and systems
and secrets and and magic silver bullets
in my twenty years or so as an
entrepreneur I can tell you that the one
thing that myself and my wife have done
consistently that has turned any side
hustle or hobby that generated cash flow
into a real business that we could rely
on for our income it's been the process
of building an email list and building
an audience take it one step further
it's really about building a
relationship with that list and with
that audience because once you have a
relationship with an audience a
relationship with your email list you're
able to go in multiple directions if you
write a book you can sell your book to
your audience if you create a software
product you can sell your software
product to your audience if you create a
physical product or an information-based
product you can sell that to your
audience so anytime you've seen like
gurus or anti gurus who are marketing
