hey so in this video I'm gonna share
with you a few different tips and tricks
that I use in order to rank some of my
videos in the top 10 search results for
incredibly incredibly competitive search
terms such as make money or make money
online or really anything with the word
money in it I was able to rank my videos
pretty high up in those results in
multiple of those videos so I want to
share with you how I was able to do this
and generate millions of views by
ranking these videos but first make sure
you hit the subscribe button so that you
don't miss any more videos like this one
channels and grow their social platforms
and market themselves and their
businesses so that they can make more
money and have a greater impact on the
world so when I first started on YouTube
I started a long time ago back in 2011 I
started making videos and they never
really caught on I would think I'd make
a cool and nice video I'd put it out and
get four views over its lifetime
it still has four views some of these
videos right because I didn't know how
to actually rank these videos and I
wasn't understanding why they weren't
getting views and over time I thought my
content got better by 2016 I thought my
content was somewhat better and it was
worthy of at least getting a couple
hundred views right but it wasn't
generating any views and it wasn't able
to figure it out and I would ask my
friends to watch the videos and like the
videos and I thought about maybe some
BOTS but no nothing really worked
nothing worked to actually grow these
YouTube videos and grow these YouTube
channels and so I want to share with you
the tips and tricks that I used in order
to really find some some hacks and some
tricks and tips that I use that are the
most important factors when trying to
rank YouTube videos in the top search
results for YouTube so the first one in
the most important and this is by far
the most important in 2019 or whenever
you're watching this video that is watch
time and watch time percentage see
youtube back in the day they used to
care a lot about views and how many
views you got and that that's really how
they would decide whether or not they
wanted to promote your video more and
show to other people now YouTube cares a
lot about watch time percentage and
total watch time in a videos so for
watched on percentage the longer people
are staying on your video the better off
you are so YouTube will love videos that
are getting watch time percentages of
like 50 55 60 or upwards percent of that
video being watched so if you have a 10
minute video and you're
an average view time of six minutes on
that video that's a 60% watch time
that's a really good watch time and if
you have that watch time on that I mean
people are really sticking around
they're really into your content and
YouTube loves that because the longer
you are on the platform the longer the
viewer is on the platform the better off
you're gonna be in the better chance
you're gonna have at ranking the video
higher and higher and higher in the
search results now going along with that
watch time percentage is total watch
time and that's why you want to think
about making longer videos especially if
you're doing something like a tutorial I
found that longer videos rank so much
better than shorter videos and one of
the best ways to sort of hack this and
and understand this is find some of your
competitors and then look at how long
those videos are in the top search
results and there's a good chance that a
lot of these videos are pretty long if
it's a tutorial usually the longer the
better
up to maybe an hour so give or take a
little bit but if if you kind of think
about this so think back to the early
days of YouTube maybe say 2009 right
back in 2009 you go on YouTube you go
unlike the trending page or the most
popular videos most of them are like 30
seconds long they're a minute long two
minutes long they're very short clips
now you look at YouTube and most of
those videos that are trending doing
well they're 10 15 20 minutes or more in
length and that's because YouTube wants
people to stay on their platform you got
to think about what YouTube wants they
want people on their platforms for the
longest period of time so that's why
they will promote your video if it's
longer and people are staying engaged on
your video so make sure that you're
doing things throughout the video to
keep people engaged that's why we're
still gonna give you two more very
important tips that are going to help
you grow your YouTube channel see see
what I just did right there I just said
that we're gonna give you two more
coming up in the next couple of minutes
is going to help you so much to grow
your YouTube videos right there I just
kind of kept you into this video and the
longer you watch the video the better
off this video will do but I think we
will get some pretty good points in here
that are very very essential to actually
growing a YouTube video and ranking it
number one up those spots we can get
millions of views on some of these
different videos now the next most
crucial aspect to boosting a youtube
video - making sure that it blows up or
does very well or goes viral you need to
have high engagement now this sounds
obvious but look there's ways to
actually hack this there's ways to make
higher engagement so
for some of my videos they're some of
the best ones I'll really entice people
to subscribe to the channel to comment
and to like the video so right now go
ahead hit the subscribe button to this
channel so you don't miss any more
videos like this one where we help
people build their YouTube channel
market themselves market their business
grow their social profiles and just
saying that in itself will encourage
people to subscribe and what does it
tell YouTube when people are subscribing
very very often to your channel when
they watch your video if-if-if 10 out of
100 people which is a pretty high
percentage if 10 out of 100 people are
subscribing your channel off of a video
that tells YouTube something it tells
them that you know people are really
engaged and they really like this person
so they are going to promote your video
more so make sure you actually subscribe
to the channel so you don't miss any
more videos like this but you want to
also entice people to comment so the
more comments you get the better off
it'll be YouTube loves engagement just
like with Instagram and Facebook they
all love engagement on their platforms
because it means that people are engaged
in it and so you can do a couple things
you can ask people questions you have
question of the day or you can do
giveaways now I've done this before and
some of my other videos that have done
very well I'll say hey I'm giving away
some free books just some free books of
my favorite books to some of my favorite
comments so make me laugh and then you
get some really interesting comments on
some of those videos but it gets a lot
of comments and gets a lot of different
ideas people are throwing them in there
and it's boosting the overall video you
can also ask people to like the video so
drop a like in the video and this will
boost your video just just say it don't
be afraid to say these things throughout
the video because people will take
action on them and a lot of people don't
really think about it like if you don't
ask somebody to subscribed they might
just not really think about they might
not take the action to actually
physically hit the subscribe button so
that is a crucial key to growing your
YouTube video and growing your channel
and the third most important factor is
to have a high click-through rate now
this really equates to having a very
appealing thumbnail and usually when
people think about thumbnails they think
all the more flashy colors the more neon
the more glittery gold the better off
the video is gonna be but that's not
true you want to have something what I
found is simple enough so that people
can digest what's going on in the
thumbnail so that they can understand
the the basic concept of the video and
it's it's going to
people to click on it a lot more often
that's why you look at my thumbnails I
use just a couple of words I try to keep
it to 5 words more or less sometimes 6
words or less but nothing too crazy you
don't want sentences it's it's it's
something you wanna keep very simple
very clean but the higher the
click-through rate the better your video
is going to be in terms of getting
promoted on YouTube YouTube loves when
people are clicking on your video like
crazy and then is how you get your views
in the first place so you need that is
one of the most important aspects that
people kind of overlook they think Oh
like a thumbnail I can just throw
together or I can just keep it as the
default thumbnail that's a terrible
option you want to have something that's
enticing that's simple enough to kind of
digest and comprehend and but it's
something that people have want to click
on so you wanna get that click-through
rate as high as possible because the
more people that are seeing your video
on the side and clicking it over those
10 other videos or their 20 other videos
that might be popping up on the side or
on the bottom of your video how are you
gonna get people to click on that you
want to think about that now one more
tip that I think is very crucial you
want to gain social proof and this takes
time but the more subscribers that you
get the more subscribers that are going
to subscribe to your channel so the
first hundred subscribers are the most
difficult by far the most difficult I
think it took me like two and a half
months to get my first hundred
subscribers on YouTube and that's
because who's gonna subscribe to a
channel when you have five subscribers I
think my first 10 subscribers were
myself I think I just made 10 different
accounts and subscribe to myself but
once you get that social proof that
shows that you are a youtuber that
you're trying to build a channel or grow
your YouTube videos into very highly
ranking YouTube videos people are going
to subscribe to it and the more people
to subscribe the more people who are
enticed to is to subscribe to that
channel so those are a few different
tips that I think are incredibly useful
for growing your YouTube videos this is
what I use this is just the best ideas
that I could throw out there for you and
everything that I understand from
YouTube into a condensed a little video
