could I enjoy it more how can I make it
you're listening those emotions and
you're associating them to the process
of building your business it's no
different than Ivan Pavlov you know
conditioning a dog that every time he
rings a bell the dog salivates because
he constantly conditioned that dog to to
react in that way so it's the same thing
with your business to enjoy the process
so the master goes deep the dabbler
stays at the surface the dabbler is
looking for what's easy
the master is willing to do what's hard
and difficult and there's actually a
great benefit in doing what's hard and
difficult because there's a higher
barrier of entry right you don't want
your business to be easy you don't want
the journey in the process to be easy
because if it's easy then anybody can
come in and compete with you right but
if it's a hard journey and you do what
it's takes and you build that success
not that many people can do what you did
because they're not willing to go
through that process so there's a lot
more to the dabbler the master mentality
but I wanted to make that distinction
for you guys so that you understand this
and you're aware of it within yourself
throughout this weekend that anytime
that dabbler shows up and there might be
specific you know mentalities or things
that show up that make make that up but
be aware of that and commit to mastering
commit to deciding you know what I'm
gonna follow through on this I'm gonna
I'm not going to get distracted I'm
gonna learn to say no to those
distractions and focus my energy and
effort focus is so important you know
the Sun provides this incredible energy
to us but if you focus that energy you
take a magnifying glass and you focus
the energy of the Sun I can burn a hole
by having all that energy going to
something by focusing it and you all
have a great amount of energy but you
have to focus it on one thing on
building that business to get to get
that to where you want it to go and a
lot of people what happens is they want
to build multiple businesses or they're
trying to do way too many things at once
which is always a huge mistake because
now they're dispersing their focus
narrow down Lou
now a great example that I could give
you guys is imagine a rocket okay a
rocket now a rocket in order for it to
go into space just like launching a new
business or a new product to launch a
rocket into space it requires a
tremendous amount of energy yes in fact
it primarily requires that energy at the
beginning okay to launch it just like
anything new a new habit a new business
a new product at the beginning it
requires a lot of energy in fact for a
rocket to launch and get outside of
Earth's atmosphere it's fighting the
gravitational pull and it's gonna
require 80 percent of its fuel but once
that rocket gets into space it doesn't
require that much energy because there's
no gravity
same thing with building your business
now if I were to say to you guys you
know on this rocket there's thrusters
right that launch it into space and if
you had thrusters pointing to launch it
up but you also decide hey I want to
launch this product in this business and
you got thrusters pointing in different
directions
now you're dispersing that energy and
it's going to launch and crash instead
of having all the thrusters and all of
your energy focused on one thing to
launch that rocket to launch your
product in business to where you want it
to go now you might say well Steffen
that sounds great but I notice that a
lot of successful people they have
multiple businesses they're diversified
including myself yes that is true but
diversification does not get you rich
only once you are rich and you're at a
certain point then you diversify then
you launch multiple businesses once your
first business your first product
doesn't require as much energy because
you've launched it now you can work on
the second or the third and you can
branch out does that make sense
so you have to be aware of focus and
even though trust me I get opportunities
all the time every single day people are

for you to promote it I know I can make
a ton of money doing that but I know if
I say yes to that there's an opportunity
cost that is going to take away from
something else
doing and it's going to distract me and
I'm going to put less focus on what I'm
currently working on and it's gonna you
know I'm setting myself up for failure
so I have to say yes I'd love to do this
but just not right now that you can
launch that second business or that
third business if you want the other
product but do it later do it once
you've launched one rocket into space
and don't try to launch two Rockets at
the same time because it's a lot of work
to launch one business become successful
with one make money first get get
yourself to that point and then and then
branch off to the second to the third
and be smart about it be strategic about
how you're building your business okay
