Crocker who is a member of the amazing
selling machine
Luke is someone that signed up for ASM
too I believe
maybe over a year ago or so and Luke is
someone actually that messaged me
because he wanted to share his success
with the amazing selling machine he's
actually informed me is making over
30,000 a month from his Amazon products
just totally kicking ass with it so I
thought it'd be a great person just to
inspire you guys whether you decide to
do ASM or sell on Amazon or no matter
what online business or in it because
it's really useful to have people that
are role model success stories and just
hear about from other people that are
living the internet lifestyle so Luke
thank you so much for joining me today
and just yeah my really my first
question is I want to share just a
little bit about yourself and how you
got into this yeah so basically my
history is in residential care youth
work so I spent the last seven eight
years doing residential care and also
studying psychology and my plan was to
become a to become a registered
psychologist and go down that path I'll
studying part-time so it's going to be
get qualified and to be to be fully
working as a psychologist and I guess my
introduction so the whole online stuff
was actually through you I I signed up
for your kindle kindle money mastery and
then about two months into that I heard
about ASM also through you and I was
already making a little bit of money
from Kindle and basically the idea
really appealed to me because I at that
point I understood how Amazon worked and
I figured if I can make a little bit of
money from Kindle after a couple of
months and pretty minimal time
investment then I could really see how
the whole physical products business and
Empire was sort of a really appealing
adventure
Wow so how long ago is this um I signed
up for your course in September of 2013
so I think when it very first launched
and then I signed up for ASM in October
so it was only about a month or two
later that's awesome
come on so do you want to maybe share
with people just your results right now
yeah um so at the moment we're making
about 30k a month in sales we've it
we've sort of grown a lot since since
probably Christmas we we kind of had a
big spike up at Christmas and I thought
maybe that was you know just the whole
Christmas rush but it's actually just
sort of steadily going up and up from
there which has been been pretty
exciting and we've just rolled out our
third product at the moment so hopefully
would sort of looking at some more
growth in the next couple of months
that's awesome and so when you first got
into this business you know like what
was the initial I guess first few months
because I I guess might have spent a bit
of time at getting getting everything
set up finding your product and
everything how did I so what's been your
experience just those first few months
getting into this and what have you
learned in over that period of time
mmm yeah I'd say the first couple of
months is really the most creatively and
physically draining it's the time when
you really have to have faith and for me
I really haven't loved doubts at that
time was like I'd invest in a few
thousand dollars in the training and
also invested in inventory and I was
like wow like is this actually going to
work
I'd actually also convinced my fiance to
invest money as well and to her credit
she was she had full faith and both of
us were like wow this is this like the
worst decision we've ever made or is
this going to pay off and I'd say it
took about two to three months to really
get sales up to a level where we could
really see some money coming in we're
like wow okay cool this this actually
might work and then I think about seven
said I was able to quit my quit my youth
work job and focus on this full-time wow
that's awesome man oh I can share it a
little bit of a similar experience with
me I mean I I've had a lot of belief in
this Amazon thing because I know Matt
and Jason I also know Ryan Moran I know
a lot of these guys that are hearted in
it have a lot of success with it but
when I joined ASM 3 and then it wasn't
until ASM for that I actually started
taking action so I didn't start taking
action with it till sometime last year
and I didn't more so because my
girlfriend was interested in doing it as
well
so she decided to do her own Amazon
product and everything and I was doing
my my own and she would always get
further ahead of the need so I had to
like keep up with her and stuff in this
process but um yeah I could say even for
myself through moments of a little bit
of doubt and everything because there
you don't really know whether or not
your products gonna sell until you
launch it and get it up there and stuff
but I think one powerful thing well a
few powerful things that helped me I
don't know because I know they've been
proved ASM every single time but the
first modules they have like the success
stories and they have the different
stories of people and what they've done
and I found that that period of just
like going through that first module and
hearing the stories of other people that
are making like over 100k a month 200km
modeling is doing crazy numbers that
gave me a lot of belief in it and I
don't know if you also went to the ESM
events but for me we both went to the sm
live event that was like really powerful
because we actually got to meet people
that were doing like insane numbers
online and doing incredible stuff that
just gave us more confidence and fired
us up even more so how do you you know
how did you overcome some of that doubt
and that fear um just just to have the
faith and believe number one just to
invest in this program in the first
place the number two dudes to keep going
with it
yeah I'd say one was definitely those
testimonials as you say like I guess
once I'd signed up and once you're in
the community and in the Facebook group
you can really see people posting their
legitimate screenshots straight from
their account
and sort of writing a paragraph about
how excited they are and they just quit
their job and yada yada and I think that
really elevates your sort of money IQ
but you might call it or or your belief
in what's actually possible because
because you're able to seal it okay this
guy who was previously a bricklayer for
30 years and now all of a sudden he's
making 150 thousand dollars a month
selling some gloves for the kitchen or
whatever it is you know and they're just
countless examples of those sort of
people using using ASM to to start a
business on Amazon and that was one for
me I also went to the live event
recently and I got to talk to heaps of
people and just hear their stories and
hear what sort of challenges they've had
but also what accomplishments they've
had with the whole the whole business
I'd say that's probably the two things
for me and thirdly was probably probably
going through your course and seeing how
Amazon is really a viable Avenue to
start a business through Kindle
initially and then also obviously
through the physical product side of
things Oh have you had any previous
business experience for online marketing
experience before you got into I mean I
know you mention K money mastery but
anything before that
not really man like I heard for about
six months I told about starting a blog
I was particularly inspired by people
like you and various other bloggers that
were just in this whole self-development
niche that's been something I've always
been really interested in so I spent
about six months looking at blogging and
affiliate marketing and sort of dipping
my toe in that sort of water but I
hadn't really had hands-on experience
running a proper business now and before
you do they are Sam I mean were you in a
position financially where you could
like easily afford it because I imagine
a lot of people they don't have a lot of
money to do and I think that's one of
the barriers for a lot of people's their
there they don't have the money or
they're afraid to invest money in
themselves or investing in the program
did you have anything like that that
kind of got in your way and then how do
you over
they're damn and definitely um to me I
didn't really have the money like I was
studying as a part-time student working
full-time what I basically did is once I
decided I want to do it I just made it
happen I I think ended up paying for
half the course on a credit card and the
rest I had some some money laying around
that I sort of pulled together scrape
together
I mentioned that I got my fiancee on
board so she chipped in half the money
and between the two of us we just sort
of scraped it together and made it
happen you know it's awesome jar you
guys both doing it together like s
business farmers yeah yeah exactly yeah
um she she was just able to quit her job
as well about two months ago so um
initially it was just sort of me
building it and then she's she's jumped
on board and taken over sort of half the
responsibilities and she's doing all the
customer service and all that sort of
stuff so that's awesome
what is um you know when you first I
just kind of going back he mentioned you
uh spend a few months I guess launching
your product
what was your experience once you guys
launched your product what did you guys
just start selling right away or was
there certain things that you had to do
to get your product selling and ranking
and all that sort of stuff mmm yeah it
definitely doesn't start selling
overnight we we made one or two sales in
the first few weeks which was just
bizarre to me because we weren't even
ranked on the first twenty pages but it
sort of took some up some understanding
of the Amazon algorithm and realizing
that to get sales you really have to be
ranking for your most powerful related
keywords and if you're not ranking for
them then sales aren't going to come so
once we sort of realize that and we sort
of wrote up a list of some of the best
keywords and spent all our time and
energy and in trying to rank for those
instead of trying to do press releases
and YouTube videos and that sort of
stuff which which is a nice add-on but
it doesn't make the eighty percent
eighty percent difference that you know
so once we started focusing on that
which probably took us a couple of
months to realize we needed to focus on
that um
sales started coming in and by that
point we sold out because the sounds
started coming in we and we sort haven't
planned for it and then all of a sudden
we sold out of inventory which was kind
of a quality problem but then it took
about six weeks to get more in
Torian and it wasn't quite starting from
scratch but we then had to sort of start
again in a way and sales came pretty
quickly after that and so when you see
the majority of like the sales that you
guys are doing now it's from Amazon or
you guys do a lot of stuff like YouTube
like a lot of the other Facebook or
whatever to help
mon-star your product it's primarily
from Amazon and like we have a couple of
videos on YouTube I recently just sent
out a survey monkey to some of our past
customers and I sort of asked basically
how they found us and 90 99 % of them
found us on Amazon one or two people
said they found us on YouTube which made
me realize that we need to start doing
more YouTube videos because we've only
got a couple up there and if like two
out of a hundred customers found us
through those crappy videos that we have
up then you know it just made me realize
we need more and more of those videos so
what do you when you guys security
curiosity what you guys projecting for
like this you know this year what do you
guys see this business going through you
guys moving forward yeah but for us like
out dollars by the end of year to be a
sort of the million dollar per year
revenue rate which I think that's about
85 km unthe
and our planet for doing that is to
expand the three products we have
overseas so to go to to go to Europe to
the UK Germany and then even potentially
Japan so I'm out our third product isn't
really selling much at the moment so
once that's up and selling we're then
gonna look at going to Europe and um
yeah as I say about a million dollar per
year revenue rate is our is our goal
this year are you guys going to be
launching more products you're
especially building on a brand or how
well how it's yeah also get it even
expand yeah so so we're focusing on
building a brand because that's really
what works on Amazon you know like
starting starting in a nation just
expanding a lot of products inside that
niche like I've met plenty of people
over in Vegas and all that who are doing
a product here that our product they're
like a health product and then like a a
home improvement product and then a
kitchen product
it's like not what one's not feeding
into the other so we've sort of realized
that sticking in one very specific area
is the best way to run this thing and
that's exactly what we've done we've got
three products that are very very
related and we're not really looking at
launching any new products at this stage
we've sort of got those three we're
going to sort of optimize them and then
as I say go to Europe like with those
three Wow um I also want to ask you know
in terms of your party that you've
source it from overseas or here in the
United States or verted you guys find
your supplier
yeah um we're in Australia and it wasn't
really that beneficial to try and source
in the United States for us because it's
still you know the other side of the
world essentially so so we're getting
our products from China okay cool um and
in terms of what I know a lot of people
ask is well both profit margins so what
you guys found to be like what's your
profit margin on your product right now
and you know is there anything guys are
doing for base because I know for myself
when I launch my product I didn't leave
like I didn't even know a lot of stuff
that I know now in terms of profit
margins all this sort of stuff and so
now for the future products I'm getting
into I know more what to expect in terms
of profit margins all excellent stuff so
um so yeah what's been your profit
margins so far in this business yeah
it's around 30% so if we make thirty
thousand in sales it's roughly ten
thousand and profit awesome um I guess
right you know I'll wrap this up pretty
soon here but I know there's a lot of
people that are interested in this
business I don't think this business
really is for everyone because you know
as we talked about it requires that
investment and and really that
commitment to really do it but you have
any advice for people that are
considering this as a legitimate
business moving forward yeah
I'd say don't get into it unless you're
willing to invest some real time
especially in the first few months like
it's not it's not just flicking on a
switch and putting up a product there is
a lot of time and effort and
creative energy that goes into it and
sort of problem-solving and eventually a
lot of delegating and managerial skills
that you'll need for us I just sort of
learnt as I went and just sort of put in
a lot of time and effort and just sort
of crossed each bridge as we got to it
you know
so I'd say don't get into it if you
think it's just like a get get rich
quick because it's definitely not that
it's um it's building a real business
building a real brand and be prepared to
learn all the skills of running a
business be prepared to learn some basic
accounting and some tax requirements and
delegation and managerial skills and all
that stuff it's it's not a simple and
easy thing so don't expect it to be yeah
I agree with that because I think a lot
of people that get into an online
business kind of as a hobby and they
don't get as a business and I noticed
that with K money mastery those people
that just treat it as a hobby and they
make a couple hundred bucks a month
right and this people I hate treated as
a business and they take it seriously
they're gonna put in the work and those
are the ones that get up to over 10k 20k
a month from Kindle publishing you know
so I think you have to treat it that way
and understand that this is a business
that you're building um but actually
when you ask you this question as well
about time because you're you know
you're in a position like most people
are where they have a full time job and
they're just trying to do this on the
side so um what have you found in terms
of just time management and how have you
been able to do this while having a full
time job
mmm um in the early days I did have a
full time job but I've actually quit now
so then being off work for about a year
now but for me I was kind of lucky
because my job was a very flexible one
it wasn't a nine-to-five job it was sort
of overnight sleepover work so we do
sort of two days on there maybe four or
five days off so so that was quite lucky
for us but I'd say just putting in an
hour a day is more than enough in the
early in the early stages so so if you
do have a nine-to-five job go and do
your job and then set aside an hour
between like nine and ten o'clock at
night or or whenever works to set
one hour a day and that's more than
enough time to grow it awesome cool man
I want to thank you again for this is

for someone that's watching this maybe
they want to build their own online
business or maybe they want to join
amazing selling machine you're on the
fence about it any final words for
people um I'd say that there is a 30-day
guarantee so if you're on the fence as I
was there's not a huge risk like if you
want to jump in and sort of see how it
goes
and as far as succeeding with it I'd say
focus on customer service is really what
the final thing I'd leave people with is
like make sure your customer service is
friggin amazing you know have it be
phenomenal not just average not just
pretty good but have it be like
absolutely phenomenal awesome
