hey miles Beckler here and in this video

we're gonna answer the question should I

quit my job and do this internet stuff

full-time or at what point should I quit

my job and do this internet stuff

full-time now I thought I had my ish

together when I first started I thought

I knew what I was doing I thought I knew

everything and I was flat wrong I quit

my job I sold my car I bankrolled about

$8,000 that I was like this is enough

this is gonna set me up for the six

months I need in order to really get

this internet business thing going I was

committed I knew this was my way to do

it I'd read Think and Grow Rich by

Napoleon Hill I was doing my

affirmations guess what I was flat wrong

I encountered challenges that I didn't

expect I had to go deeper into the

learning curve because I wasn't as far

along as I wanted to be I thought I

could do it but the truth was I wasn't

quite there the result oh you're gonna

love this moved back in with my parents

at the age of like 28 with my wife in

like oh man crushing right it was the

worst most crushing kind of maneuver but

something magical happened out of that

and I feel like there's something

powerful in a rock bottom moment and

that's where I feel like I hit at that

point I mean I was flat broke

borrowing the parents car I like I said

I sold my car I didn't have a car I had

no money so what did I do two things

number one I kept hustling I woke up

every single morning I grind and grind

grind it because like unacceptable

situation right I got to get this I got

to figure this out number two I applied

for every single job that I possibly had

qualifications for I did not set my bar

high when I was looking for jobs in this

situation I was down with whatever came

my way and I kept at those two things

quickly in a very poor economy in a very

big area that was affected by that

economy at that time I landed a job boom

there it goes forty plus ten because of

the commute fifty hours a week right

there out of my internet business that I

was growing so what did I do

I woke up earlier I stayed up later

grind grind made it happen within two

months moved out got my own place for my

wife and I kind of moved on

that same month bought a jeep got going

again and got some wheels going six

months later we moved out went up to the

north shore of Lake Tahoe

we got a condo that was across the

street from a ski resort and season

passes because we love snowboarding six

months but here's the trick right a lot

of people look at individuals situations

and they're like oh man well you're

lucky oh look you're so far along you

did guess what it just took hustle we

worked every single weekend Thursday

comes around happy hour all the friends

in the hometown like a man you want to

go out to happy hour nope I'm busy I'm

working on something I'm building a life

for myself I'm in an unacceptable

situation that I have to remedy ain't

nobody gonna remedy this for me hey it's

Saturday you want to go do this go to

the house one nope sorry I'm working I

put in 12 hours 14 hours on Saturdays

Sundays then what happened on Monday

right back to work up first thing in the

morning listening to audiobooks while

I'm driving on my commute building my

mindset while I'm on my commute get home

from work seven eight o'clock at night

work for another four five six hours

work all the way to midnight with a

dinner break every single night and

guess what happened when I did that I

messed all kinds of things up and then I

figured out how to fix them and I went

through the natural process or the

learning curve which requires you to

kind of take trial and error to get your

way through it's really easy to read

sales letters to read information

products and to read these kind of like

fake-ass gurus pitching this dream of

push-button profits and this is the

system or this new MLM thing is

everybody's just gonna line up and get

on your team and you're gonna get one

person who's gonna get free and they'll

get three and they'll get three and

they'll get three and they'll get and

you have 18 gazillion people on your

team it doesn't work that way it worked

the people who worked the systems one

system grind it out keep with it till it

works for you those are the people who

get to kind of like live life on their

own terms call their own shots it's when

I stopped looking at any of these other

opportunities and focus on building the

list we're going in this niche this is

our niche we love what we do

my wife and I same page whir whir whir

whir whir whir work turned it around

really quick and I think there's

something special about being in that

kind of like rock bottom place that

really like that almost that low point

that dark night of the soul that like

men it just does not feel like this is

ever gonna work cuz out of that came the

deepest strongest hunger I've ever felt

and I'm still running with that to this

day so was my wife she's upstairs

working right now we worked all weekend

we took a day off yesterday and she

still made a video edit the video put

out the video for her platform like even

on our day off it's just non-stop and

that's part passion because we picked a

niche that we loved and we're passionate

about sharing it but it's also part

we're creating our reality here and we

want our reality to be on our terms and

there's no way I'm going back to that

situation where I've got a boss again

and one more tip so I mentioned after 6

months at the job I moved up to the

mountains and from a snowboard resort at

that point I kept 20 hours work from

that job remotely I also began building

WordPress websites for clients I did my

first three sites for free free I didn't

expect nobody to pay for me at that

point I was hustling I was proving I

could work the system I'm proving I

could help local businesses all the

sudden my name got out to local

businesses more business showed up on

the side I was juggling three jobs I was

working harder from home for myself than

I was from the day job with the commute

all I got I got rid of the commute so I

got to after hours back what did I do I

worked those extra two hours and

surprised seven years eight years of 40

50 60 70 hour weeks relentless work not

taking Saturdays I'm not taking weekends

off working for seven years straight and

guess what now I get to live a bit more

on my terms I get to live in the places

I want I want to go to Maui for three

weeks four weeks six weeks I'll just go

to Maui for six weeks if I wanna go to

Thailand or New Zealand and work from

there for 3-4 weeks

I'm a finding the event out there i'ma

go to the event and I'm gonna stay for

awhile it's exactly the life we've

developed and built for ourselves

consciously out of hard work and the

funny thing is when I'm in Maui when I'm

in New Zealand when I'm in Thailand when

Barcelona I'm working I'm working I'm

just enjoying other cultures and the

food and my restaurants are different

and I go hang out and see some sights

for sure but like I'm still grinding it

out and that's ultimately what it takes

so if you're asking the question like is

the time right for me to quit my job

should I quit my job and go all-in

absolutely not that's the wrong question

so how do you know when the time is

right that's a really good question and

I'm gonna give you some parameters

number one you have zero debt zer oh no

debt I'll give you a mortgage if you've

got a mortgage all that debt is okay

it's okay enough if you have student

loan debt pay it off first work your job

work your internet business on the side

I had $50,000 in student loan debt when

I came out of college that whole period

I couldn't even make my student loan

payments I was accruing more interest

they were growing after I went to

college guess what two years later gone

zero debt at this point so that's step

one right zero consumer debt no credit

card debt no student loans once you have

that done you need an emergency fund

which is six months of your cost of

living sitting in a savings account I'm

not talking your check checking account

you need to have a thousand in your

checking account on top of that you need

to have money you're not even gonna

touch in case of emergency because

things change I've had entire streams of

income disappear beyond my means I could

not have controlled that situation my

first affiliate gig gone money overnight

just disappeared thousand bucks a week

gone so it happens and you need to be

prepared for that so if you've got your

internet hustle going good you're making

more money than you're making it your

day job and you've paid off all of your

debt and you've got your emergency fund

with six months of your lifestyle

sitting in a savings account on top of

your checking at that point you can

consider quitting your job and doing

your internet business full-time now you

can do it earlier if you want if you're

riskier feel free if you've got kids if

you got a wife if you got people who

depend on you you may want to wait a

little bit longer just to be damn sure

you got it together the way you think

you do because I'm I'm I get it right my

thoughts on so far vast I got the

I got this I got this who reality hit me

really really hard and you don't have to

go through that as long as you're

prepared and you set yourself up

correctly so that's my take on it thank
