hey miles Becker here in this video
we're going to talk about the power of
unsubscribe and why it's mandatory that
you have a spam email account so the
funnel hacking if you're building an
online business there's no doubt that
you've been looking at some of the quote
unquote gurus and you've gotten on their
lists you've opted in to their freebies
you were curious as to what their secret
was or what it is that they're promoting
and now your email account is starting
to build up with other people's kind of
marketing messages for you the first
thing to keep in mind is that your inbox
is other people's to-do list for you so
you really need to guard your inbox very
very tightly I'm incredibly tight with
mine the moment somebody hits me with a
marketing email that's off that just
misses or that was kind of two offers in
a row that I'm not ready for and I don't
feel like they've given value I click
unsubscribe and I'm out that's exactly
what I'm recommending you do as well
because what will happen is when you
start to get on a bunch of different
email lists there's you know there's
these groups of JV launches their joint
venture launches and a bunch of
affiliates will start promoting the same
exact product at the same exact time and
that's it's all by design and what
happens is you might start seeing the
same marketing message for two and three
or from two and three people for the
same product and then you start to think
wow man everybody's promoting this this
must be good and they start mentioning
the different bonuses that they're going
to get you start comparing the bonuses
and all of a sudden you went from not
knowing or caring about the product
which is where you should be to thinking
whew there's such a buzz around this I
might need to get in on this and then
you start to analyze ok which bonus is
best for me and at that point you're
going to be buying into a product that
you actually don't need and it's going
to be a total distraction and that's the
real challenge with internet marketing
is staying focused on your plan
executing the plan that you set for
yourself and avoiding at all costs all
of the shiny objects that are out there
shiny object syndrome is real it happens
to the best of them so how do you go
about funnel hacking in a way that won't
get you
on everybody's email list and will help
you still stay focused on what you're
doing well you just go to google and you
set up an additional gmail account get
yourself a separate gmail account have
your name at gmail com for your main
account that you use to communicate with
people and then have your name throw
away at gmail com as the one that you
subscribe to everybody's list for and
when you want to go see that free thing
that you opted in for to get deeper into
their funnel you simply log in to that
email account you go look at it and then
you jump out another benefit of this is
as you start to kind of opt into all the
quote-unquote gurus or all the the
thought leaders in your industry you're
going to be building a swipe file of
subject lines and emails and you'll be
able to look through and look at the
products they're promoting how they're
promoting their products and you'll be
able to see what subject lines get you
actually to take interest sometimes when
I log into my spam email account I'll
find myself scanning the the subject
lines and I'll be like ooh that sounds
really interesting and I'll click and
I'll start reading it and like halfway
through an offer at that point and it's
like whoa hold on that was a really
clever headline and I'll put that in my
swipe file I'll note what was clever
about that because I know that's my spam
account and it still sometimes gets me
to take action and I pay attention to
what's getting me to take action so it
is important for you to keep tabs on
what's going on in your industry and in
your niche but it's more important for
you to execute your plan if you don't
yet have a plan I've laid it out here on
the channel over the last two and a half
months I've done a video a day every day
go into the first videos go look at how
to find a niche go look at how to build
your customer avatar and how to build a
funnel it's all right there how to build
a business there's no secrets there's no
shortcuts it takes hard work and it
takes focused effort over time so the
unsubscribe button in your main email is
how you stay focused it's by limiting
and eliminating those distractions so
you got to get heavy-handed with the
unsubscribe button it is absolutely
paramount to your success and to your
focus and then set up a separate account
so you can start to kind of like filter
them and you could just send all your
spam emails or you can opt in all the
quote-unquote gurus lists from another
email address
you can still collect what's going on
and you can log in and have a little
more control of the flow of information
you don't log into that account every
day like you do your main account that
runs your business and runs your life so
keep them keep them separate and I
guarantee what you're doing and you're
going to see that you have so much more
productivity you'll have so much more
focus you'll get more done in less time
and your business will grow more quickly
which is of course the ultimate goal you
know remember your inbox is other
people's to-do list for you that's a
brilliant concept really really kind of
take that to heart and unsubscribe from
everything that mrs. all these hotels
com and the airline that you last flew
on that sending you a special and all
these special offers you get from being
customers and places in everyday life
unsubscribe unsubscribe unsubscribe and
get yourself to where you're in control
of your inbox your inbox isn't
controlling you and then work your plan
because that's actually how you build
your business online is by working your
