what's up guys Stefan James here from
project life mastery and I'm here in San
Diego at the traffic and conversion
summit which is one of my favorite
events to learn about digital marketing
there's thousands of people here from
all over the world that are here to
master how to grow their business and
marketing online it's now my fifth or
sixth time now attending this event and
one thing I decided to do is actually
fly in my team so my team is here with
me they're attending all the different
sessions we're here to learn grow so
that we can take project life mastery to
the next level so I'm going to be
sharing you guys a little bit about the
experience I hope you guys enjoy

so over the last few days I've been
interviewing some incredibly successful
speakers here at the traffic and
conversion summit even some of my most
successful students and I always believe
guys in learning from other people as
you guys know modeling success going
through training programs events
masterminds coaches and mentors but
anytime you get direct access to someone
and you can actually interview them and
elicit their strategies their mindset
their beliefs I always believe that's
one of the best ways to learn so my
strategy for coming in this event was
not actually to even attend to any of
the sessions at the traffic and
conversion summit I've got my team here
they're attending all the breakout
sessions they're taking notes they're
you know they're learning as much as
they can so that I can learn and I can
leverage them but I can learn that from
them and we can implement that to grow
project life mastery but by me spending
my time by renting this executive suite
which was twelve hundred dollars a night
and bring into my videographer I'm able
to interview these people but also
create incredible content that I could
share with you guys new project life
mastery so I love this because I get to
learn by having direct access to these
people
I get add value to them as well which is
very important I always preach if you
want a mentor if you want to attract a
coach into your life or build these
relationships you got to find ways to
add value to them and so by me using my
platform and being able to share their
message with you guys there's an
incredible benefit for them because you
know they're gonna get exposure some of
you guys are gonna check them out learn
more about them and so it's a win-win on
that side and so I love that because I
get to learn I get to create some
amazing content I get to serve you guys
and share with you guys the things that
I'm learning and things that are
benefiting me in my business and
hopefully you guys get a benefit from
that as well so over the last few days
what I've done is I've interviewed maybe
about ten different people now and we
still got more to go the first day I
interviewed Rudy Moore who is an
incredible Facebook Ads and Instagram
marketing specialist he has an agency
he's worked with a lot of the top health
and fitness brand
out there learned a lot from him he's
actually a friend of mine I'm in a
mastermind with him but if you guys want
to ramp up and scale up your business
with Facebook Ads Google as Instagram as
he's the guy to learn from when it comes
to that he actually became a
multi-millionaire by the age of 26 years
old within two years he went from being
a personal trainer to a
multi-millionaire online within two
years and he shared the story of being
able to do that I also interviewed my
friend Trevor Turnbull who also
interviewed before on the channel
he's a LinkedIn marketing expert went
into his story which is pretty
inspirational about how he changed his
life some of the struggles he's gone
through and and different advice that
can help you guys with the mindset of
building your business I interviewed
John Benson who is one of the most
successful copywriters in the world he's
someone who's become a friend of mine
I've had him over at my my penthouse at
different occasions back in Vancouver
when I used to live there and it's great
to connect with him and to really pick
his brain because he's someone that some
of the most successful marketers in the
world have studied and learned from he
actually created the video sales letter
which I'm sure you guys have seen before
but he was the one that pioneered that
and really revolutionized the internet
that VSL has produced billions of
dollars in sales for his clients and
different online entrepreneurs so we
really went into copywriting email
marketing and video sales letters which
I think are really important skills
copywriting is one of the most valuable
skills that you can have online I also
interviewed Sean Basler it was the
affiliate manager for Tai Lopez Sam
Evans some people you might recognize
online incredible affiliate marketer
really diving into the mindset
copywriting as well email marketing some
of the affiliate marketing strategies
that they utilize to grow their business
I interviewed Jeff Walker who is the
founder of the product launch formula
big fan of Jeff he really revolutionized
the internet in 2005 when he introduced
the product launch formula which is a
methodology of launching products online
if you've got a book if you've got an
information product a training program a
physical product and you want to be able
to do a six-figure seven-figure even an
eight-figure launch he's helped so many
entrepreneurs be able
do that someone that I've learned so
much from he's kind of uh you know one
of the guys that a lot of people learn
from throughout this industry as well I
also interviewed JJ virgin who's a four
times New York Times bestselling author
she's a author of the book called a
virgin diet she is a total rock star
she's been on reality TV dr. Phil Oprah
she's been everywhere and she shared how
she's built her global media empire that
was incredibly incredibly valuable
talking about how she built communities
and and the mindset that she had to get
to where she's at today
I interviewed chip Cooper who's actually
an Internet attorney and someone that I
hired to be working with last year and
talking about online compliance how to
make sure that your business is
compliant making sure that you're
compliant with the FTC that Federal
Trade Commission things that
entrepreneurs need to know when they're
publishing content affiliate marketing
publishing books selling physical
products as ways that you can protect
yourself as an entrepreneur I also
interviewed Ryan Deiss who is the
founder of digital marketer comm he's
the host here at the traffic and
conversion summit very very busy guy but
was able to do an interview with him
which is great he's also one of the top
marketers in the world that some of the
most top most successful marketers have
learned from and studied so it's great
to pick his brain and go deep into his
mindset what drives him his story and
some different strategies on and really
actually understanding where the mark
where the Internet's going you know
what's the future of marketing moving
forward because we always have to adapt
and evolve as entrepreneurs so that we
can make sure that we're on the cutting
edge and then I also interviewed one of
my most successful students D breakn he
did a hundred and eight thousand dollar
launch through affiliate marketing based
on what he learned from affiliate
marketing mastery so I asked him if you
want to do an interview I brought him up
he shared an incredible story about how
he's built his brand his YouTube channel
and some of the success that he's having
now so excited to get that out there for
you guys as well
I've got an interview coming up with
Todd Herman who is the author of the
book called the alter ego effect he's
actually a friend of mine been in a
mastermind with him for a while also and
just so much more
content I'm so excited to share with you
guys and you know it's just been such an
affine event so far and you know guys
it's my fifth or sixth time now
attending this event and I can't
recommend it enough I think a lot of
people what I notice is they kind of get
into online marketing or wanting to
build a business but they kind of dabble
with it they don't take it seriously
enough and you got to understand this
you know if you really want to be
successful you got to take that
seriously you've got to be willing to
invest in yourself you got to be willing
to travel to places that might cost you
money you might have to get a hotel but
everybody that's here at this event
there's thousands of people here they're
all serious and committed and that's
what makes them successful that's what
separates them from someone that just
kind of dabbles with it and watches a
few videos you know lead some blog posts
maybe they invest in the course but they
kind of do it for a bit but they don't
really fully commit to to mastering the
process and learning as much as they can
and so I can't recommend it enough guys
I'm happy to share a few guys the
journey but I want you guys to
understand that mindset the first time I
came here I was brand new and I was
struggling and now to be in a position
where I am today where I get an
interview some like a Ryan Deiss or a
Jeff Walker or JJ virgin or and some of
these people that have changed my life
is pretty incredible but it just started
by me coming to this event learning
having an open mind keep coming back
again and again and of course doing many
other things to learn and grow along the
way but I really want to emphasize that
point because I just can't emphasize
enough how important it is to keep
learning and growing and commit yourself
to the process

so this is now my second time doing an
annual team retreat with project life
mastery last year was the first time
where me and two other team members came
at the traffic and conversion summit
here in San Diego this time around
there's eight of us and the reason why I
do this is I've always believed in
investing myself I always try to preach
that to improve yourself to be the best
that you can be but at the same time and
I'm at a point where I also need to
invest in my team because the more that
I can invest in them and their skills
their talents their expertise their
knowledge then the more that they can
grow which therefore will help grow
project life mastery they can apply that
to the business and together we can
achieve so much more so I really learn
now the last few years the importance of
building a team and investing in your
team not just yourself the more that you
can invest in yourself and your team the
more that you can grow the more that you
can you can scale make more of an impact
and so I'm excited for this event I
brought in my project manager Steve I
brought in two new team members that we
recently hired over the last three
months
one of them's from Germany who's my
copyright or an email marketer another
one an affiliate manager another one is
from Malta who does the SEO of my
website and also optimization brought in
my videographer we've been filming
interviews during this event as well and
a lot of amazing footage that you guys
will benefit from brought in also my
paid ads specialist name's ty been with
me for the last four years a good friend
of mine so you know we came last year
together and we're always learning
growing so much together as well but
also Tatiana's here one of her team
members this year as well her project
manager well yes it's not just about the
growth aspect but the bonding because we
work virtually in our business and we
communicate over slack over Skype and so
having a chance to actually connect with
everyone in person and go for dinners
and and spend time together after the
event so we're gonna be doing some
escape rooms and scavenger hunts and
really is spending some quality time
together and that's how you really build
that team team is an acronym for
together everyone achieves more
and so the power of team can allow you
to achieve so much more than you ever
could on your own

so part of the scavenger hunt is we have
to find we have different clues and we
have to find these landmarks in the
Gaslamp area of san diego some of them
we have to go to a theater different
hotels get pictures at some of these
different places and some of them we
also have to approach people and record
record it so for example Glen had to
dance in front of a group of people and
they would rate on a scale from one to
ten we had to go up to a couple and ask
them how they met and get that on video
so it's fun it pushes your comfort zone
and it helps all of us bond together and
also discover San Diego so right now
we're doing a scavenger hunt this is my
team here and we're doing a bonding
experience and one of the paths that we
had to do was that phone had to approach
someone and ask them to marry them and
get them to say yes and we had to get it
on videos I had to
give it a shot because I think it would
