hi my name is Miles Beckler and in this
video we're gonna look at why ideas are
shit and what actually matters what's
actually worth your time you know I've
life in one kind of interesting form or
another and I've been building
businesses online in one way shape or
form since like the late 90s to be
honest but ultimately professionally for
last like five six seven years so one
thing that happens a lot is whether it's
on an airplane or when people write hey
what do you do and I kind of explain it
to like oh my gosh I've got an idea for
you we should I should tell you my idea
you should do it and we'll split the
profits oh my god is that the worst
thing ever right like I don't have
enough ideas floating around in my head
like somehow there's this mythical
million-dollar idea thing it's all false
ideas or absolute shit and you have to
get this through your head because what
the real magic is where the rubber meets
the road execution there's no such thing
as a million dollar idea there is only
million dollar execution the reason why
I become successful in my online
business is not because I had some idea
of an online business like this isn't
new I'm not doing anything no one in the
world's doing we have the direct
competitors who are well funded by big
big big time publishing companies you
know our our key one in our key niche
our key competitor has literally like 50
books published by a major publisher so
it's a massive challenge right so
there's nothing new about what we're
doing it's the fact that we've been
knuckles to the grindstone setting the
alarm
getting up early hustling our butts off
every single day day after day week
after week month after month year after
year started this website our main
website we started it in 2009 so I'm
recording this at September of 2017
that's a long time now it's 2016 still a
long time you know I was totally off on
that hilarious but anyways like so
that's like seven years we've been
building this business and it has been a
grind and we have been hustling non-stop
the funny thing is some people might be
like Oh
I get to this level in my business I'm
making multiple six figures a year I'm
gonna color some just go sit in a
hammock with my ties all day not this
kid because I'm still hungry and I know
that if I ease off the throttle and I
get and I kind of lay off of my
execution side of my business everything
will start to go might be slow might not
notice it at first the business would
definitely continue to bring cash flow
for months and months to go but I'm
building a life style business that's
gonna take care of my old self this
business is gonna take care of my sixty
and seventy year old self and I didn't
come from the idea of the business it's
come from the execution of the business
this ties right into the idea of you got
to get out of being a consumer and being
a producer right every day every single
day seven days a week we are producing
content whether it's social media
updates videos for YouTube blog posts
whether we're working on products that
we're gonna sell whether we're creating
new emails that deliver value or whether
we're promoting affiliate it doesn't
matter we're executing we're creating
content we're sending that content out
we're building our audience one person
at a time
one video at a time one social media
post at a time so that's really I wanted
to convey that because I feel like
there's this kind of thought in the
world right now or in Silicon Valley or
all over them all over the world to be
honest that somehow like having the idea
of oh we're gonna be the uber of kitchen
utensils or we're gonna be the uber of
or we're gonna be the the Dollar Shave
Club of organic food like that is not
nearly enough your ideas are not that
special and your ideas are worth the
paper they're written on they're not
written on anything they're not worth
anything what really really matters is
the execution so if you truly deep down
in your core are ready to become an
entrepreneur and you're ready to create
a lifestyle business you've got to dig
in and execute it might be ten hours a
day
most people they work a 40-hour workweek
like a normal person work week and then
they commute back home boy they're so
tired man if I can do 40-hour work weeks
that would be easy street but I'm
hungrier than that I don't want that
basic lifestyle I want more than that
out of this lifestyle I want to draw
the exotic cars of the world because
that's what I want so I'm gonna earn it
it takes extra work I'm not entitled to
this so I'm gonna execute execute
execute on my simple idea that I've
literally I've laid out in this entire
channel like you can learn my entire
business model in fact I've got a video
that's called my business model exposed
I share it all with you I'm not scared
of competition I know for a fact I'm
gonna outwork everyone I'm not working
you right now and I'm gonna keep doing
that and that's why I'm gonna remain
successful so you got to make that shift
and get into being a producer of content
being a producer of value for an
audience and then you've got to do that
every single day day in day out sound
like a lot of work well it is honestly
building empires is a lot of work but
guess what it's incredibly rewarding at
the same time so I recommend that you
jump in commit yourself if you haven't
fully committed yet do a 90 day
challenge just write a blog post a day
every day for 90 days or create a video
a day every day for 90 days like I'm
