so you got to make sure that you're
taking action the reason why a lot of
people they stay as information junkies
or they go to seminar after seminar
course after course because they think
that they're making progress just by
having more information but they're not
doing anything with it and the reason
why they're not moving to level two is
they have this fear that if they go for
it if they try them might fail but at
least by just learning the information
going through the courses it gives them
the illusion that they're making
progress they have the certainty and
control over that but actually taking
action means that you have to step into
the unknown you have to get outside your
uncertainty and things that could occur
so a lot of people they don't move to
level two and that's why they stay stuck
but if you just do something once in
awhile you learn a strategy and you just
do it once or twice is that gonna lead
to results yes or no no you got to do it
consistently you know if you want to get
in great shape you don't just go to the
gym once or twice and say that you're
fit for life right or you don't just eat
a salad one time and say that you're
healthy you've got to be doing it
consistently
it's the consistent doing an action that
leads to the results and that's level
three which I call living living is when
you're doing it consistently and it
becomes a part of you it becomes who you
are and so if we're gonna learn anything
or master we got to make sure that
you're living that okay you're living it
you're applying it okay even if what I'm
sharing with you you already say I
already know that again are you living
it that's the only thing that really
matters here right and you're gonna keep
learning it again and again and again
until it gets you to that point where
you're actually taking action with what
you're learning and you move on to
living it now there's another mindset
that I like to use to kind of
differentiate between the master and the
dabbler okay the master and the dabbler
and let me share with you guys a story I
actually have a lot of friends that have
been stuck in the knowing doing phase of
building their business for a long time
and they've been involved in online
business marketing as long as I have
like 19 years and yet they haven't
broken through they haven't succeeded
now why would somebody that you know has
all this information they've been to
some of the same core
and trainings and seminars for 10 years
still not succeed I remember I have this
one friend in particular great guy loved
him to death he discovers online
business and marketing right and he gets
excited just says all of you guys have I
often kind of use a example of a scene
in the matrix where you're presented
with the red pill and the blue pill and
then once you take the red pill you know
that once you take it you can't take
back what you see and discover that once
you discover this world of online
business and marketing and you can live
this lifestyle you can't go back you
can't just forget what you discovered
and go back to having a job in a simple
life you're like once I know that that's
possible I've got to find a way to make
it happen so he discovers this and he
first learns that you can make money
online by having a blog and he gets
excited and he decides that I'm gonna
create a blog and the way you can
monetize it is you could have ads on the
blog right Google Adsense where you can
have advertisements in the blog and
every time someone comes to the website
and clicks on the ad you make money
doing it so he gets incredibly excited
right of course he has these unrealistic
expectations of you know he's gonna get
rich quick by having this blog and
website and he doesn't and it's more
work than what he expects but his
initial excitement and enthusiasm keeps
him going initially and he gets to a
point where he's actually doing doing
okay you know he is making some money
but it's not what he expected and often
when you have those expectations that
you know I want to make all this money
and that's what I'm doing it for then
when it's not happening fast enough or
the way that you want it to happen
there's a part of you that gets
frustrated it's a part of him that was
like you know what it's going okay but
it's not happened fast enough and then
what happens is six months in this brand
new opportunity shows up a brand new
opportunity and this opportunity says
forget about creating a blog and doing
Google Adsense instead why don't you
publish books on Amazon you're already
writing content for your blog you could
you know write content and instead write
books and publish it on Amazon instead
of doing SEO and trying to rank this
content in Google well Amazon is a
search engine and it's a lot simpler
than Google is so it's a lot easier to
rank Amazon has hundreds and millions of
customers so he gets really excited
about this and he puts this focus into
doing publishing on Amazon
here he is he's publishing books of
course it takes him longer than what he
expected right it wasn't quite what it
was advertised initially and he puts in
a few months and he does okay you know
he's making maybe a couple hundred bucks
a month which is still great but he's
not seeing the progress and what he's
learned as a valuable asset instead he's
just saying man I'm I'm not where I want
to be yet it's not happening fast enough
and so sure enough the next opportunity
shows up and it says forget about
publishing you should sell physical
products on Amazon you know books are
great but man you're selling books for
$2.99 five dollars ten dollars and not
enough profit there and physical
products there's way more opportunity
and potential than just publishing books
so instead you should start selling on
Amazon so he gets really excited all
this enthusiasm he stops doing what he
was doing then and now he's focusing his
efforts into selling physical products
so here he is she's trying to launch a
product takes a few months you know it
requires inventory there's a lot of fear
that he has around and launching that
first product is it gonna work is it not
gonna work right and all these things
come up and he launches his product and
he's doing okay with it again but
there's a new opportunity that shows up
and he's still a little bit frustrated
because that first one didn't work out
the way expected the second one third
one but this next one he gets even more
excited about and he jumps into it
affiliate marketing and he didn't even
need a product I could just promote
other people's products and I can earn a
commission doing that and so he repeats
this process again and then again and
again who here can relate and he's
chasing the shiny object a sign II
object syndrome and the crazy thing is
if this person would have instead just
stuck with that very first blog that
very first strategy even though it might
not have been the best strategy the best
opportunity there's maybe other ones out
there that were better but if you were
just to have stuck with it and said you
know what I'm gonna follow through on
this and I'm gonna say no to all these
different distractions to come up
because if I'm jumping from one thing to
the next and I don't fall through and if
I'm at a starter race I better
because if I don't finish this race then
who's just say I'm gonna finish the next
one and then who's to say I'm gonna
finish the one after that or the one
after that so it's building the habit of
following through until completion and
it's the habit of mastery of going deep
that even though there will be plateaus
there will be times in any business all
the businesses that I mentioned you're
going to encounter
you know those plateaus those barriers
those obstacles
your expectations are going to be
different than the reality because your
expectations are only you speculating
and trying to guess you know to see how
well you can do with it but often
there's actually another reason why that
is the I guess what's feeding into this
dabbler mentality which is an attachment
to the results when you're so attached
to the result of I have to be making
this amount of money and that's what I'm
doing it for what happens is when you
don't see those results fast enough you
get discouraged and you give up and
you're looking for new opportunities
that show up instead of enjoying the
process because it is a process and a
learning curve that you have to
understand that you're gonna have to go
through so there's a few core mindsets
and I actually have it in your book for
you guys of the difference between a
dabbler and a master the dabbler is a
person that loves the newness and
excitement of starting something new
okay and initially when you start
anything new it's exciting you're like
you're a total neophyte and everything
is so exciting you're learning all these
things you make immediate progress until
you hit a plateau and that's where the
dabbler gives up or they move on to a
new opportunity the master is the person
that sticks with what they're doing long
term because the dabbler wants the
instant gratification the master is
willing to delay gratification okay the
dabbler is after the short term the
master thinks long term
you
