WHY You Need To Celebrate And Reward Yourself Everyday


hey this is Stefan
calm in this video blog I want to talk
to you about something that I feel is
extremely important for our lives but at
the same time is missing for so many of
us and I bring this up because this is
something I realized recently was
somewhat missing for me and it's
something that I used to do every single
day and every single week that brought
so much joy and fulfillment to my life
and what I feel is missing for a lot of
people is really taking the time to
celebrate
and reward ourselves for all the good
that we're doing in her life you know
it's so easy gets so caught up in doing
more and achieving and you know reaching
our goals and our to-do list and
everything and we get so caught up in
that then often times we lose track of
how far we've already come and we don't
really fully acknowledge ourselves and
give ourself pleasure for all the hard
work and all the consistency and
basically everything that we're doing on
a consistent basis especially if you're
a high achiever like me to really
achieve your goals and make progress in
your life and I think there's two areas
of life and really have to master and
this is something I heard from Tony
Robbins one is a science of achievement
which is basically getting ourselves to
learn how to achieve things and it's a
science because you just follow certain
formulas and a strategy and as long as
you do that you'll achieve the goal you
know it's like if you want to lose
weight there's a science to that if you
want to make money there's a science to
achieving that and you know I know for
myself I don't know about you but that's
where I spent the majority of my life
learning to focus on and becoming good
at and have somewhat mastered that area
in my life but there's an other area of
our lives that we often overlook which
is the arts of fulfillment and that's
really just learning how to appreciate
and celebrate and reward ourselves for
everything in our lives being grateful
and that's an art because what makes
someone fulfilled is different for
somebody else and I think that's an area
that's often neglected for so many
people and you know one of the things
that I really love is that it's are
successful but if you're not fulfilled
then you're a failure and so one of the
rituals that I've incorporated into my
life
that's really made me made a difference
in helping me be more fulfilled has been
taking time each day and each week to
really celebrate
warden myself for everything that I've
done that week and so this is what it
looks like every day I journal I'll show
you guys my journal right here it's just
a simple paperback journal just like
this you can get it at the bookstore or
whatever nothing fancy but I take out my
journal at the end of each day and I
write down all the magic moments that I
had that day and all the successes that
I had as well and so for example I make
sure in the morning I plan out my day in
detail so I know what my outcomes are
what my actions are and everything well
at the end of the day just as important
is to take out your journal and write
down what did you do that day and then
what did you get done
what what was great about that day and
just by that the act of journaling and
writing it down and acknowledging myself
for doing that it gives myself pleasure
and I have this sense of pride and joy
that just floods my body that just
really reinforces the fact that I was
productive that day and even if I had a
really bad day list I didn't get done
what I wanted to get done this act this
habit actually helps you to find the
good that you did do that day because
there's always good if you look for it
you know we're way too hard on ourselves
that we don't acknowledge all the little
things that we did it could be the fact
that you went to the gym that you woke
up that you did your morning ritual that
you made a healthy breakfast it could be
that you planned out your day it could
be that you went to work that day it
could be that you made some sort of
progress in your business it could be
anything all those little things I know
it's very easy to celebrate the big
things but it's the little things that
make the difference so that's what I do
I take out my journal and write down all
the successes that day and then also all
the magic moments and magic moments are
those little moments that you want to
cherish and remember it could be just a
smile it could be watching a cool video
on YouTube it could be watching a movie
it could be someone that you met it
could be a great conversation that you
had with someone it could be going for a
walk and you know just being grateful
all those little moments those are magic
moments and at the end of your life
they're not gonna remember any
everything you're gonna remember those
little moments that you take the time to
really cherish and sink in and it's so
easy to have these moments to have these
successes just go by just like that and
without acknowledging that and
enforcing it then you're actually doing
yourself a disservice because when you
have the activity every day celebrating
what you did do well celebrating those
magic moments it creates this momentum
with you it gives you more confidence
more certainty and it just it just
floods your body with this joy and
fulfillment but actually which actually
helps you be more productive and achieve
more in your life because you're giving
yourself pleasure and whatever you
whatever gets rewarded gets repeated so
that act every single day has been a
game changer for me and also just doing
it every single week you know at the end
of the week on Sundays I've been
incorporating a ritual where I just go
for a walk I get outdoors in the nature
I take my journal and I just write down
all the successes for that week all the
magical moments for that week maybe some
great lessons that I learned and I just
take time to journal and just record it
because as Jim Rohn says a life worth
living is worth recording and so you
definitely want to invest in something
like this you know it's a couple bucks
to have a journal but just the act the
ritual of doing this is one of the most
powerful things that you could ever do
because it just really adds so much joy
to film it to your life and it's like I
said it's so easy to lose track of all
the little things that you do on a
weekly and daily basis and it's about
time that you just reward yourself you
give yourself that pleasure you
celebrate it when you're going over your
list and you're flooding yourself and
remembering all those moments of what
you got done you know put a smile on
their face you know get yourself a pat
on the back and give yourself some
pleasure in some form so that you can
start to condition that and also just
really enjoy the life that you've been
given and the opportunity that you have
so you know no matter what your life
looks like by incorporating a little
little ritual like this it can make a
huge difference in your life just by
adding more joy more fulfillment and at
the same time help you helping you be
even more productive in your life so I
