video you are going to learn seven
headline templates that use a copy block
system
don't worry I'll explain what that is
and how it works so you can create a
nearly infinite number of headlines for
your opt-in pages your sales pages your
split tests but even for your blog post
gonna help at every level of your
business because headlines are really
what do the heavy lifting in all of your
marketing whether it's your content
marketing or your conversion based
marketing you see if a viewer clicks and
reads your headline and doesn't think
there's something there for them or it's
gonna actually help them they're gonna
click the back button and you've lost
them and on a sales page or an opt-in
page that's a big problem but if they
look at your headline and they're able
to think wow there's something here for
me I need to read more I need to look
into this more you've hooked their
attention and you've got them to read
below to the next lines which is the
number-one job of a headline and great
headlines that follow this exact
structure that you're gonna learn here
we'll do that more often than not really
you need to become a master of headlines
so that's why I'm creating this video
let's jump in and start doing some work
I'm gonna map these all out for you so
you can kind of see how they all work
together and the first part we're gonna
start with is the copy blocks now the
idea of copy blocks is that there's a
lot of components within your sales copy
your headlines your opt-in pages that
are completely interchangeable so what
we're gonna do is I'm gonna write out
the copy blocks here and then on the
headline templates you'll just be able
to kind of replace them so you need to
figure out what your copy blocks are and
I'll do an example here
so the first one is desired result the
second one is time we are impatient
beings us humans and oftentimes we want
things quickly this isn't always
pertinent but when it is it's very very
important the third one is the key
benefit the actual core benefit of why
the individual wants the desired result
I think honestly most people fall short
of the benefits they'll talk a lot about
the features but the benefit is the key
it's the idea that no one wants to go
buy a drill and a drill bit but every
but sometimes people need a hole in a
wall for a certain reason so the hole in
wall is the benefit the feature is the
drill the half horsepower drill etc
and the last one is the biggest
challenge or fear okay so you need to
figure out what these are for your
audience and when you're doing testing
these are the variables that you mix
into the headline templates that we're
gonna get into next right so you're able
to swap out the different benefits the
different time frames you're able to
swap out the different desired results
and the different challenges and fears
this is how you mix and match the
different components here in order to
test different ideas on your opt-in
pages your landing pages your sales
pages etc etc so what I'm gonna do is
I'm gonna switch colors up real quick
and we're gonna do a basic example and
the desired result on this basic example
and I'm trying to be super generic you
really want to get specific to your
segments of your particular audience but
I need a working example for us to move
forward with so I'm just gonna go ahead
and kind of write out at one here the
desired result is to lose weight and
let's just say a little more specificity
than that is to lose ten pounds the time
frame now what's the time frame they
want to lose ten pounds in this in this
kind of a situation is more of a
function that if I actually am trained
as a professional who can help others
lose weight how quickly can I help them
lose ten pounds is the question right
they want it yesterday but how quick can
I actually help them achieve that result
I don't know 30 days two weeks I'm not
really a fitness instructor so I'll go
with 30 days and if you can do it in 14
days you obviously want to test out the
different time frames to see if one time
room gets you a better conversion it's
exactly what you're able to do with this
template system so the number one
benefit now this is gonna change there's
there's times different times of the
year when we want to lose weight for
different reasons it's it's February
right now so let's say for um for
Beachbody season for Spring Break
because that's what's coming up now this
could also be leveraged for the benefit
could be lose ten pounds within 20 days
for your wedding right there's other
ways to mix this up and this is how you
can create those infinite number of kind
of headline opportunities based on these
and then the number one challenge or
fear there's tons of these right it
could be giving up the food that you
love it could be without having to go
work out all the time without starving
yourself without feeling hungry all the
time that's what I'll use
right now and obviously you should
definitely know what the number-one
challenge of fear is for them right you
should definitely know what the big
benefit that your audience is after you
should know the timeframes that you can
actually get things done or that they
seek to get things done and you should
know the desired result that they're
seeking right they're actually searching
something if it's a YouTube video you
got keyword research to help you figure
out what that is that they're looking
for so these are the blocks and you need
to figure out what they offer you it's
best when this comes down from feedback
a little kind of a hack or a tip here if
you don't know these components for your
audience you need to be in the research
mode big time and one of the great
places you can go for research is look
at the best-selling books it on Amazon
Kindle and go read the reviews of the
best-selling books and see if you can
find what their desired results are from
people who loved the book and from
people who hated the book so the five
stars and the one stars have the people
who loved it and hated it they have all
the passion and they'll tell you this
book like this weight loss book helped
me lose 14 pounds in 30 days so I can
get into my wedding dress it's those
kinds of language patterns that you're
looking for inside of those Kindle
reviews but enough about this I'm gonna
clear it off and we're gonna go into our
first headline template at this point in
time now we're starting off super simple
on the headline template and the first
one is tried and trued for hundreds of
years and it's how to and that's it it's
how to desire result so it's how to lose
10 pounds now in this example that's
over done that's been done a million
times and has been done for 50 years so
it's not as impacting now as it once was
but if you're working in a new
technology if you're working in a new
sector if you have a new unique
mechanism or you're within an industry
that's much more much less mature than
the weight loss industry as simple how
to kind of headline can work how to
build a racing drone right racing drones
are so new a video that teaches how to
build racing drone can actually get
enough attention if you look at some of
my best videos they have how-to in the
title of those videos so plain and
simple is the way to start and then we
add on so that's number one number two
is you add a time in a specific amount
of time cool so we're just at
on to this and this is this is template
to and this is how they all work
together you can kind of mix and match
these components so how to lose 10
pounds in 14 days that was a really good
headline for a long time but people have
probably heard that time and time again
also how to build a racing drone in
afternoon that's another example of how
that can work so next one I'm gonna
remove the in time at this point and I'm
gonna go in a little bit different
direction and you should be jotting
these down for yourself here so I'm
gonna remove this part the next one
we're gonna go over to is the without so
now we have a very simple headline that
is how to get your desired result
without the number one biggest challenge
that you don't want to face right so
this is how to lose weight without
feeling hungry all the time for someone
who hates that feeling and they want to
lose weight your headline just connected
with them and they just thought when
they loaded that video the the search
result page your opt-in page or your
sales page and they think like man I'd
love to lose weight but kind of hate
that feeling and feeling hungry and your
headline says how to lose weight without
feeling hungry they'll call they get me
right and that's what you're trying to
do with a headline and oftentimes it
takes testing and testing and testing to
find the ones that actually pull that
actually get good response and you're
looking at your opt-in rates and your
conversion rates for that sort of data
so this is headline number three keep me
on track here on my numbers so the next
one is I'm going to go ahead and clear
the whole thing off here and I'm gonna
write out our next one
the next one's super simple and it's a
little modification on what we've been
working with right so how to get the
desired result so you can with the big
benefit that's how this one works so how
to lose ten pounds so you can't how to
lose ten pounds fast and we're getting
there how to lose ten pounds so you can
fit in your wedding dress how to lose 15
pounds so you can be ready for spring
break
Beachbody season right these are the
kinds of things when you're speaking
directly to their situation to their
desire their core desire and really that
benefit that they're after so you can
look great in your wedding dress on
wedding night so you can look great in
your bikini at Spring Break they know
you're talking directly to them and the
fact that you've been able to match up
with that conversation in their head
gets them that much more willing to take
action to read more to follow down
because they think huh this person gets
me are you noticing a pattern here I
hope so this is relatively simple stuff
but once you get this framework down you
have everything you need to keep moving
forward so the next one is adding time
so here you can kind of have the time
either in this location here or in this
location here right so how to lose 10
pounds in 30 days so you can or how to
lose a certain amount of weight and so
you can look good in your bikini for
spring break in two weeks right if if it
is two weeks away so I'm gonna I'm gonna
go ahead and rewrite this one out now
the other kind of trick with a so you
can idea when you add so you can to
pretty much the end of any sentence that
is how you force yourself to come up
with a benefit right that that phrase so
you can will always force you and if you
think you've been writing features and
you're talking about the drill bit and
the drill and the drill bit and the
drill but they don't care about the
drill bit or the drill all they care
about is hanging there flat-screen TV on
the wall so you can get this drill bit
that will drill into any stud in your
wall so you can hang your flat-screen TV
on your wall so just adding so just the
so you can in and of itself is a great
way to force yourself to get to the
benefit because that's what actually
motivates people to take action so time
and then benefit and we'll call it
number one benefit cool
so that's the next one and moving along
we've got a little modification on this
how to get the desired result so you can
get the number one benefit without the
thing you don't want to do how to lose
ten pounds so you can be in beach body
condition for spring baked without
feeling hungry all of the time without
working out right that was the the
fat-burning pills that were a craze back
in the 80s and 90s that the unique
mechanism they went with is you don't
have to workout and you'll still burn
fat because these pills will get it to
do that for you so how to get a desired
result so you can the number one benefit
that they're after
without whatever that fear or big
challenge is that they have I think this
is number six I should have been
counting I think we have one left and
correct me you will correct me I know
you will catch me in the comments but I
do believe this is number seven and this
is kind of where it all comes together
and it all works together so the one
addition we need is x give me a sec hold
and there we have it the granddaddy of
them all how to get the desired result
in a specific amount of time so you can
that number one benefit without the big
fear or challenge this really is
combining all of the different factors
and each one of these components that
are copy blocks you see how those copy
blocks are completely interchangeable at
this point so what you need to do is
figure out what your copy blocks are and
then you start testing mixing and
matching the different copy blogger your
split testing that will help you
identify the exact desired result that
they're after the benefit that's driving
them to go after that desired result the
timeframe at which they either think
it's possible plausible and doable or
believable right if it's too short if
your headlines lose 10 pounds in 14
minutes no one's going to take action on
the headline because they're not going
to believe you so you could be over on
either side of the time frame without
the biggest fear or challenge and it's
well known in the world of marketing
that and just human nature were loss
aversion creatures right we will do more
to not lose something than we will to
gain something of equal value there's
been a number of studies done and people
are more motivated to not lose a
thousand dollars than they would be to
go earn an extra thousand dollars so
that's why that last component is in
there each one of these components
within this framework are extremely
purposeful they're there because they
are the psychological reasons the
psychological components that compel
people to take action if you go back
through some of history's greatest
headlines you will see variations of
this used over and over and over and
they still work and they still pull
today you can look at my videos you can
look at other youtuber videos now that
you know this method you're gonna start
seeing this framework used left and
right in advertising and now it's time
for you to put this into action and
remember you need to be running
scientific split tests and what I mean
by that is direct a/b split tests on
your opt-in page you create variation a
that has a split test you're currently
running and then you setup variation B
that is one of these new ones and you
test it you run
thousand clicks and you see how many
clicked on how many opted in for a how
many opted in for B and you let the data
tell you which headlines are best for
your audience then within that headline
you look at which components within the
framework and then you get granular and
you start to fiddle with the different
copy blocks and you test maybe a new
benefit or maybe a new desired result or
maybe the time frame gets tested and so
on and so forth that is the path to
crafting a wonderful headline that you
can leverage for years to come you can
literally almost practically build a
business off of the right kind of
headline and this is one of the best
ways to get it going if you want more on
headlines Victor Schwab wrote a book I
think it was in the 1960s how to write a
good advertisement it's an old book and
he looks at like a hundred of the best
headlines of his day great book I need
to be a student of copywriting I'm gonna
