hey miles here miles back TOCOM and
today I am super excited to share with
you a 90 day challenge dominate or she's
a friend of mine Samantha Bagwell and
she just completed her 90-day challenge
and I thought it would be a great
opportunity for you to learn about the
process about the UPS the downs the
challenges and get some insights from
someone who just finished it literally
days ago so Samantha welcome to the
channel welcome to the show hey glad to
be here thank you
so Samantha's got a website that is your
miraculous body calm and we're gonna
look into a little bit about what she's
done on the site but I also want to talk
a lot about kind of the the mindset the
experience itself because it's a unique
experience so Samantha the first thing
I'd like to do is rewind back to like 95
days ago or to you know some point
before you started the 90 day challenge
what did your life look like what were
you thinking did you have a site did you
not like get us before you even started
take us back to that point if you
wouldn't mind so I started the 90 day
challenge shortly after you launched
content and conversion right and at the
time I had a Squarespace I was kind of
going through just talking to other
people and seeing your your training
tools and things like that and I really
decided to jump in and do a thrive
themes right before my 90-day challenge
I already had a set date that I was like
September I'm gonna start but switching
to thrive themes kind of threw a little
wrench in my plans so then I spent three
days completely with tutorials redoing
to get used to a whole nother platform
and everything like that right before my
90-day challenge so I was like I'm gonna
do it I'm gonna just hardcore and I'm
gonna wow so you went deep into tech and
you literally went into some of the most
overwhelming and challenging and
annoying sides of it first and then like
right as you were literally stable
enough on the new tech you just started
publishing one a day every day yes
absolutely
so now that you're on the thrive themes
I think that's really interesting
comparison from the Squarespace to the
thrive themes like at first obviously
there's a learning curve it's
challenging
like how do you feel about using that
system today now that you've been
through the motion several times
compared to where you were what's your
what's your take on that move are you
glad you made the move I'm totally
curious about that yeah no I really
liked it I got more familiar with
opt-ins and buttons and calls to action
and things like that and thanks to you I
feel like my pop up my conversion rate
is actually pretty good for the amount
of traffic that I get there it I feel
like having the option like I was really
at first with the a and B testing of my
my titles for my blog posts I was really
utilizing that but slowly I started just
focusing on key terms just really trying
to hammer down main topics in my my
niche my niche and um so I really
stopped using the the conversion or the
split testing for the the titles but I
was so excited about all of the the
manipulations and the testing and cuz
I'm like a dork like that where I like
and that's what really moves the
business for right like like there's
there's a level of vanity metrics and
YouTube subscribers there's a level of
vanity metrics in how much traffic that
people get but ultimately it's like
growing that audience and growing a
relationship like nothing actually works
until we get there and email is still
the best way to get that going how long
into the process like how many days
roughly obviously you don't know the
specifics before you really started to
have the mental bandwidth available to
even think about building your opt-in
offer to think about putting up your
first pop-up to start to grow your list
like at what point in that 90-day
challenge did you start to focus on the
conversion to your email a site I would
have to say it had it been at least with
it was in the first month but I was like
towards the latter of the first month
that's awesome yeah because my my niche
is it's not like something that I can
that I'm fully knowledgeable about so I
I spend a lot of time writing each and
every article and it's a lot of time so
being able to separate myself from
actually writing articles
to focus on something else I was
exhausted I was finishing it like eight
nine o'clock at night when I started to
eat it literally took me six months
before I put my opt-in up to do my
videos was so much life energy for me
like I was literally like and Melanie
kept saying she was like what would you
tell your students to do like you need
to build your opt-in like literally she
just was on me and finally I broke down
it did it because she was totally right
but like the amount of energy to just
like keep everyday life going and add on
this new thing and putting out content
every day it's an incredible body of
work so you mentioned your niche so so
who is your audience who do you help
what challenges are they seeking that
you solve like give us the the sixty
second bit on your site and and who you
serve so pretty much I'm serving mostly
women I'm women focused for IBS
irritable bowel syndrome and roughly its
ages 25 to 40 I'm just I throw that in
there because that's the typical age
that people get diagnosed and they
really start having trouble and they
really in that age range they really
start hitting that wall where I can't
take this any longer so that's really
the age that I'm focusing at it's really
about helping them get to getting used
to their body system again their body
has just kind of it's yelling at them on
a daily basis from everything that they
eat to everything that they put that
comes out of their mind you know right
it's very holistic and it's um you know
the standard or the the sad American
diet right the standard American diet
it's like not helping anyone so you
mentioned a moment ago that you actually
you aren't necessarily a part of this or
you weren't an expert in this so you had
to do a bunch of research so how did you
choose this niche and then explain a
little bit about what you mean when you
say you had to do a bit of research
because I think your approach this is
extremely unique and valuable and I
think it'd be a big help for the
audience so I've been studying nutrition
for around 3 to 4 years at this point
and when people talk to me about whoa
what do you do especially people in my
neighborhood they look at my daughter
and they're like what do you do you're
always home you're always able to to be
there with your daughter and I just when
I'm studying nutrition and one woman
came up to me and she goes you know you
need to help people with IBS she's like
all of my friends have it and I was like
IBS mm-hmm
you know it was just kind of like a
flutter in my mind I was like okay what
keep that in mind and in my classes it
kept popping up kept popping up over and
over it effects 20% of the population
worldwide so it's kind of a big thing
that I wasn't even aware of and I don't
even remember what my final point was oh
I think it was one of my classes really
pinpointed that it was it was women and
it was women my age and I was like these
are people that I can talk to you these
are people that I can relate to these
are people that I can let them know that
they are meant to have a comfortable
life like you're you shouldn't have to
be battling your body every day and I
think also to go one step farther you
realize that like when your neighbor
randomly throws stuff out at you there's
a there's a audience begging right like
it's an underserved audience there's a
lot of confusion in the space which will
uncover how you've learned about that
also and really there's very few it's
kind of this newer thing that's emerging
and there's very few people being of
service and like you had like an aha
moment you had an epiphany that was like
this is this is it I'm gonna commit to
these ladies and that's freaking awesome
like I love to understand how people
find their niches because a lot of times
it's it's almost haphazard like with
Melanie and my niche around Melanie's
brand like it literally can go to an
advertisement for a free meditation
group we went to an Albuquerque in the
back of the free magazine when we were
sitting down having a burrito and like
somehow that led to a series of events
that got her to learn what she's doing
now being so you had a nutrition class
so you were you were in the niche right
so like nutrition's like that big broad
top of the level niche that that
everyone has to pay attention to it or
else you're gonna have a serious day of
reckoning but then the goal in niching
is niching down or niching down if you'd
like to be fancy with it so you found
your way down to this sub niche and then
you're like okay cool so I got this this
nutrition background I understand that I
understand there's this underserved
audience but there's a gap between those
two things right like like you didn't
get enough information from your
nutrition specialize that class you were
going through to really get to that
point where you're at now so how did you
bridge that gap and how did you find
like that kick-ass information that's
really helping people so pretty much in
my class the most extensive class was
nutrition and
after intestinal disorders that was the
one that had the most information about
IBS seven slides so I had seven slides
of I'd be handsome right yeah um but it
was once I started kind of looking into
it once I started just opening up just a
little bit of research it really opened
up the distress the distress that people
were feeling the distress is not only
felt by patients it's also felt by
doctors doctors are having trouble
helping people with IBS because they
want answers they want they want a solid
plan and even doctors themselves there's
there's no known cause there's no known
specific treatment every person needs to
be treated as an individual so because
there is this desperation on both sides
on the doctor level as well as the
patient level it really opened up my
eyes to hey these people need help they
need um they need day-to-day coaching
and so did you just go to the library
and grab a bunch of books oh you just
buy the books on Amazon you just
searching google for information to
synthesize like because you you've
become in in one sense we say create
more than you consume but I know that
you've consumed a lot of information to
really understand your space like how
has your approach been to finding the
the insights and the most valuable ideas
so it all started in PubMed so
everything is research-based I look at
all medical journals medical articles
and everything like that and I base
everything off of truths so I because
even in all my idea yeah even in medical
journals you'll still find some some
old-school ideas like I don't want to
get too controversial but it's just like
that dairy is for strong bones you know
and and you need dairy for optimal
health like there's there's literally
doctors still today writing that this is
truth and I'm like if you spend time
looking at medical journals you'll see
that it has literally been the exact
opposite people that consume the most
area have the most osteoporotic that
have the most hip fractures so it's very
contradictory so it's really kind of
getting down to the truth but reading
medical journals figuring out what
doctors specialize in IBS which doctors
are the ones and then I find their books
yeah so I all the books that I have are
literally written by medical
professionals that focus that are
completely in the IBS space that's
perfect so and for anybody who doesn't
know what a PubMed journal is this is
like scientific study peer-reviewed
journals that like only doctors can
publish them I think he like it's it's
like the academic level of publishing
for professionals and academics so you
went to the kind of most advanced and
scientifically theoretically
scientifically approved content that's
kind of an awkward way of putting it now
I think this is the kind of I want to
help the audience who's watching have a
quick aha moment here so so Samantha had
this idea of like okay I'm she was
already in new nutrition she loved
nutrition she realized there was this
group of people being underserved and
she decided that she was gonna go in and
do all of the research for them and the
first step was like okay what's absolute
rubbish that's just like bro science as
a lot of people call in the bodybuilding
area and who actually has their heads
out of there other sides that they know
what they're talking about and then
where can I find even more content on
this and then an absolute rampage of and
that's what will get you next year of
reading and consuming and understanding
and really looking at the whole market
buys a whole landscape to essentially
summarize everything that you've been
able to really focus in to now create
what is a resource at your miraculous
body calm that really truly is probably
one of the most if not the most
comprehensive sights that someone could
go get an overview all the way down to
the deep dives all the way down to links
to the exact peer-reviewed journals you
spent your time and energy being that
trust like that's how you become a
trusted advisor right you literally you
did the work you've read all the things
so if someone and user behavior is that
especially in this world like I think I
have this I'm gonna go to dr. Google and
dr. Google says I'm gonna die right but
people are now kind of analyzing what's
going on with themselves through Google
Google is their trusted adviser and when
you
do this kind of work you can show up in
the search engines as long as you do a
few optimization things right and then
you get to be their trusted advisor
because you've done all the research
Google realizes your contents legit they
realize your content legit your pop up
says hey you want my my plan of action
and they're like of course I do and you
get a really good conversion rate yeah
that's awesome like it's it's so fun to
see it in something that's so abstract
for me right like I've been so geeky in
my own a couple of areas so let's let's
now switch because we I think we've
covered very clearly the niche the the
big ideas and and who you're helping and
how you're helping them let's get into
the geekery a little bit the the keyword
research the SEO optimization stuff did
you know what that was before you
started did you were you doing that when
you had your old Squarespace site or did
you kind of learn that on the fly as you
were in the content creation cycle in
the 90 day challenge when I had my
Squarespace site I think I had three or
four articles up I really wasn't in the
content creation I was definitely in a
consumption phase and it was mostly
learning about tech learning about I
bought all the programs I have like
Moriah causes all her programs I've got
I've got a list right here I've got
teachable I've got Chris cars I've got
um unfuckable girlfriends that sounds
like a keeper
yeah so I've got like all of all the
tech stuff but I never did anything with
it like I don't know if you see some of
these post-it notes yeah I was actually
looking at them this morning when I was
cleaning at myspace I was like oh man
these are all really good but I didn't
even I had no comprehension of what it
actually meant because I wasn't doing
the work right like once you start going
through you you see the missing pieces
and until you have content until you
have ideas as to what you want to write
about about what what your space is you
really have no idea what what your
opt-in should be what what's going to
best serve your your clients it really
is kind of a you can't steer a parked
car right like you've got to get a
little bit of motion going and then once
you get motion all of the challenges and
the things that we a lot of people study
before taking action they start to make
sense because then they become the next
logical step and when they're the next
logical step they fit into the greater
puzzle
but when we're like observing the puzzle
from an outside of standpoint it doesn't
make any sense like well how does that
work and how does that work and it's
like you're never gonna get it until you
just go and then once you go all the
sudden things fit together and things
don't fit together what was one of the
challenges that pops up on your 90 day
challenge that drove you absolutely
insane that hindsight was probably a
tiny thing that was nearly insignificant
like we've all had him I'm curious what
yours was
in that world it was really um kind of
finding my pattern of what it actually
was gonna look like
I had times where my references were the
same size as my type font like like
that's how insanely intended to detail
its it was just about the look of what
my blog posts look like so you mean like
a layout process if once you had written
it in like word when you're trying to
get that thing live on the interwebs you
want it to have that cohesive look one
post to the next to the next yeah and I
was trying to like minimize distraction
because it's like my references
sometimes you'll find up to 15
references in one article you know so
it's like I don't want my references to
take away from my content and then so
it's like then minimizing my my
references and then attaching like I
think it was definitely like at least a
month or a month and a half into my
90-day challenge where I was where I
decided to actually link out all of the
references so attaching the links and
then learning about nofollow versus the
follow links so it's all about just like
kind of manipulating my what the look of
my my brand as I was going along like
what did I want highlighted what did I
want focused on I mess with like summary
boxes which I think there's still a good
idea I think I'm gonna go through all my
content and put summary boxes at the
bottom you know what the key words are I
mean what the key ideas from each post
is but it's you have all of these ideas
going all at once but it's a lot of time
and then Pinterest and getting Pinterest
to work correctly and to like the
business account and verified are you
actively putting up a lot of pins still
um so my my Pinterest game started
getting really strong in the last week
of my 90 day challenge I really started
having some more
anÃbal images last night I actually was
up until 10 o'clock at night doing all
of my board descriptions with keywords
and and adding boards because at the
time I only had I have like 2 or 3
boards as of last night so now I've
expanded my boards to around 12 boards I
looked at my competition I looked at
mine I looked at I have boards for every
single subcategory that I ride in and
everything like that yeah
so my Pinterest game from that what is
it
Black Friday deal yeah the banners yes
one day of just manipulating that stuff
my my views doubled in hours
yeah then even so this last weekend I
didn't look at my Pinterest at all
doubled again and that's with me not
even pinning anything and I'm like yeah
and and the other thing is that your
Pinterest is actually going to support
your SEO because it does connect those
links now that you're a verified
business account we generate almost a
million visits a year from Pinterest so
Melanie's Pinterest account her main
ones getting 2 million monthly
impressions organically from Pinterest
right now and it's it's just kind of a
brute force thing so good to hear that
you got that all going and is it's
interesting how you know at first it's
like this overwhelming like everything
and then you're like I'm just gonna
start and then all the sudden you add on
a little thing and then you learn about
the the link outs and then the dewfall
of versus nofollow and then you learn
about the pins and it's it's like this
evolution and how do you feel about what
you've created right your website your
brand everything your 90 days in like
like how it's evolved to here it's gonna
always keep evolving how do you feel
about it are you stoked on what you've
created are you proud of what you
created yes I am beyond stoked I think
one of the the little voices in the back
of my head is who are you to help people
who's anybody to listen to you you know
and I look at my site and my site looks
pretty legit like I literally whenever I
go to like parties or any kind of
get-togethers and people like oh I took
a look at your site I'm like does it
look legit doesn't look I was like
because it in talking to me I don't feel
like I've got this essence of not
superiority but like knowledge I feel
like I'm just kind of
big goofball so um I'm like how does it
look right now and they're like yeah
they're like did you do that yourself
and I'm like yeah it's cool right and
what I think it proves is how lean you
can make a real business and ultimately
you know the 90-day challenge is like
that to me is getting people out of the
starting gates like when somebody's
completed a 90-day challenge and gets
all the way out it's like okay you
actually started like like you're on
stuff like you made it to seven one
well done right cuz it's a three
five-year Plus plan but you're able to
create this thing that has the potential
to create residual so all these posts
that you created are going to be picked
up on search engines and they're gonna
get residual kind of results moving
forward as you create new ones and when
you become one of the top 1% of
knowledgeable individuals in a space who
are willing to share it you don't feel
like a different person
right like in a lot of us sometimes
think that like well everybody knows
this right like well and I think about a
lot like everybody kind of gets that
right like I understand no most people
actually don't and those who do have
very minimal willingness to spend three
months of their lives busting their
derrieres until 10 o'clock at night
saying no to walks with family and all
these other things because we got ish to
do so good on you clearing that hump and
it's really interesting to hear you say
that like almost like the internal
dialogue hasn't really caught up with
the physical reality around you that
you've created yeah still super
interesting so um what is one thing that
you wish I would have told you or taught
you before you started your 90 day
challenge what's that one like man I
kind of wish I would have known that day
one I don't I don't have anything
because you know let me tell you this
because I feel like I don't I don't want
to take away from it I don't want to
minimize it I feel like part of the
biggest stress that I had during the 90
day challenge was if I didn't post that
day or if I knew I wasn't gonna post the
next day like I really kind of beat
myself up and um and so there was a lot
of I ended up finishing like three days
past my original 90-day end date but I
I feel like that that stress that that
hey you need to put out content was
really a driving force it was my
integrity to myself that really kept me
going because yeah it's just it's a
commitment it is and there's something
powerful about deadlines right like if
it wasn't like I have to publish
tomorrow it becomes easy to be like I'm
almost skip tomorrow I'll get back to it
later and boy you missed one or two days
in a row and it's a slippery slope to
like not doing anything ever again yeah
well cool I'm glad to hear that you felt
like you were armed and it really is you
know by definition the 90-day challenge
is like okay um so here's a fire I'm
about to throw you know fire figure it
out right and then incrementally and I'm
fine it really interesting that that
somehow when you join the content and
converging group like maybe you felt
like you were supported enough or you
you were like at a point that you were
able to like okay I can ask questions
like like I find they're an interesting
correlation between you there's a lot of
other members in that group who like the
90 day challenge section of that group
is the most like I have a lot of data on
it that's what most the activity happens
right and it really is like hey let's
all just go create cool stuff for our
people and then we get in a little group
of people who are all creating cool
stuff for their people but it's it's you
know totally like like people creating
printables for for kindergarten teachers
and IBS and marketing and all kinds of
interesting things it creates this like
synergy of work doers where creators
we're all moving forward I'm glad to
hear that
work because I didn't know like that was
kind of the idea I didn't know if it was
gonna work and it kind of seems like it
did for someone who's about to start
what tip would you give them like what
what do you feel like was something that
along the process that that made it easy
or change the game a little bit for you
um just I wouldn't even say really look
at your calendar but just it if you're
anything like me and beat yourself up
about not having something done do look
at your calendar ahead and go okay well
I've got this weekend that family's
coming in so these two weeks well at
least for me because it took me a lot of
time to write each article put that in
your schedule that okay to make sure
that I'm complete after this weekend
that my family comes I need to make sure
that I hit
least three extra blog posts within that
week before or within that two weeks
before however long it takes you to
create content just preemptively make
sure that you are are setting yourself
up for success as long as time
progresses so not necessarily laying out
every post on every day and planning out
the whole 90 days but just being aware
that like okay christmas is coming out
New Year's is coming up I need to have
at least four posts because I'm gonna be
driving to Grandma's house and blah blah
blah and just being a little bit more
like had that foresight to be prepared
yeah I also joined a lot of Facebook
groups that i BS dress like centered and
I would notice the things that that
really prompted a lot of conversation so
if I saw somebody post something and it
was like a hundred comments I'd be like
ooh this is something that I should pay
attention to this is something that
people really have a lot of ideas about
whether they're right or wrong you know
or and would you comment in those
threads would you would you give it by
or were you literally just kind of a fly
on the wall in those groups like okay
what's trending what's getting the
engagement that's clearly a topic I
should write about boom so at first I
would kind of just sit back and I used
it as research only research but um so
as I started when I started this 90 day
challenge I really wasn't - I had the
general idea of IBS I had but I feel I
learned so much I have such a different
perspective about my role in in the IBS
population I've learned so many things
and now I do feel like next burgers like
I walk around and I'm like I know my
stuff and I didn't know it before so
it's like I picked my niche without even
really understanding the wholeness of it
right anyway I was actually pleasantly
surprised because there's a lot of
mind-body work well and I think you know
from a marketing standpoint you took the
right approach just choosing your niche
you found an underserved audience who
have a very they're very aware of their
problem like that it's it's painful like
it's flat out like you said their body
was yelling at them type thing right so
so they're in this situation they have a
big challenge and then there's a ton of
confusion around it so you actually made
a very intelligent marketing decision to
find your little
- that you're in and like how many other
people in any of those Facebook groups
do you think have read half of the
PubMed articles you have honestly I
don't even think the moderators of the
group yeah go with zero I don't think
people can see the screen shifting
literally zero is the answer like you
literally are an expert and this is one
of the things that I'm finding to be
interesting as you went through this
curve of being like okay I'm committed
to these people I'm committed to this
process of a 90 day challenge through
that you had to like you create more
than you consume but you got to consume
a lot to really fill your brain with
what you're creating on and to come up
with your hypotheses through that
process you became more of a expert than
just about anyone else in the the niche
and now your mindsets catching up and
you are getting those kind of like
moments in real world like oh wow okay
like that's wherever it is that I get
that so what's what's next for you like
obviously or not even obviously like
continuing publish are you going to
switch to a marathon runners pace at
this point are you adding on some like
Pinterest is something is ramping up for
you what what are you gonna add on what
are you gonna change how you gonna
modify your approach from here for the
next for the long game for the year two
year three year game for the long game
I'm going to continue to publish I keep
looking at not necessarily my
competitors but I look at people that
are in the same space as me and I look
at the amount of pages that they have so
I'm definitely I feel like I'm on on a
race that I kind of want to catch up to
where they are and and I know that my
content is um it is very relevant but I
want to kind of at least publish I'm
guessing anywhere from I want to make it
three times a week just because I want
the content that I created in my 90 day
challenge because I put so much effort
into it and so much thought and and so
much research I didn't really get to
make it as as whole as I wanted to I
would address one topic and I would make
sure that I clearly addressed that topic
but now I I can make it more complete
and make it a bigger a bigger post that
covers more aspects in one article
totally get that so more of the the
ultimate guide format and when you ease
that deadline up it gives you a little
bit more freedom to go a little bit
longer
Google actually picks up and enjoys the
longer form which is really good you
mentioned that you're behind on a race
idea and there's a lot of people who
when they enter a new niche or something
they look around the deck how well
everybody's doing that it's already done
and and clearly you you're able to
identify people in your niche or niche
who are further along than you are and
and they've been doing it for longer
than you are and they have audiences did
you were you aware that in the beginning
were you oblivious to that did you like
how did you deal with that mentally I
think I had before I really started
diving into my competition I think I
have like three people that I was
looking at and as I progressed even
further and started doing more and more
research about my competition I realized
how unique I am because I feel like
everybody that's directed towards IPS
and I want to say it's got to be ninety
percent maybe even more our fodmap
directed where and fodmap is a diet that
specifically to like these certain types
of carbohydrates and sugars and
everything like that that's in frou and
in various other different whole foods
that people are told to avoid you know
if they start with an elimination phase
it's just a diet that's very very famous
in the IBS space so a lot of people are
like oh go low fodmap go low fodmap but
the thing is is that when you look at
the research fodmap is seen to work just
as rayul right just as good as regular
dietary advice even as good as
hypnotherapy they even went fodmap
versus hypnotherapy side by side and it
was the there was no difference in the
results so how did you come to that
understanding is it through reading the
PubMed and through just the process of
everything you consume to create your
content that you're like holy crap like
everyone in this niche is believing a a
lie a semi truth it's the truth it's a
truth fodmap works it helps it helps
around 70 to 80 percent of the people
that do FODMAP it's just so complex and
it's so tedious it's it it's virtually
impossible to do on your own you have to
have somebody to kind of guide you
through the diet and so that um
that complexity isn't really necessary
like maybe if you try all of the it's
like the low-hanging fruit you you do
the low-hanging fruit first and if that
stuff doesn't lead you to where you need
to be then go for the elimination diet
then go for the low fodmap go to those
extremes once you've tried to work on
your mental game you know like a lot of
people don't even really work on their
mental game so you've found a
potentially a simpler first couple of
approaches that have as high or higher
likelihood as good of a likelihood of
working as the really really complex one
that requires you to essentially like
hire a nutritionist so you you've
identified and so it's not fully
contrarian it's just like let's try
these other things first and you might
be able to figure this out on your own
the DIY solution type thing and
obviously you know there's there's
levels to how far it can go interesting
so you through analyzing what other
people were doing what the research was
saying you notice that gap and again
that's obviously what you're feeling
you're creating content that is sharing
this other way of solving the problem so
how many you said at first you found you
thought there were three people in your
like three competitors how many
competitors do you feel like you have
now is it still pretty much just there's
three or is there is there a yeah how
big of a pool of bloggers and
specifically like people on blogs who
are in your space that you feel like
you're literally competing with I don't
really know who exactly I'm going
head-to-head competition with because my
my approach is so different but through
your newest training with the like the
buzzsumo and kind of reverse engineering
who's who's doing what yeah I've got a
list of 15 that I'm kind of I've got
literally I've got a spreadsheet as to
what they're where they get their their
social influences from and things like
that and honestly like there's not a lot
of people that even have a social
influence and the ones that do I've got
my little post-it note where it's just
Facebook and it's not even Instagram
it's just Facebook YouTube and I know
you said YouTube's a search engine and
Pinterest so those are yeah those are
things that I'm already kind of
and lightweight so it's gonna be good
that that I already kind of have a
little bit of understanding in those
areas
totally and you're gonna be able to
outwork them there and I think one of
the things just that being behind on a
race like so you just started after
people right like that's not a big deal
and if you keep up a three post a week
pace and your competitors are doing one
post a week that means net you're up two
posts a week which is a hundred posts a
year you'll catch up and I mean it's
just math right like like okay how many
years at that pace until you know if
they've got 250 posts now and you've got
90 it's a year and a half and you will
have surpassed them on volume of content
not to mention getting better and
potentially out like absolutely
dominating them on social can you feel
it like you really truly have the chant
like you're on the path to dominating
this niche yeah and you know I feel like
the funny thing is is that I'm not even
worried about it because I know that
there are so many people that are in
distress that they there's room for me
there's enough for people that do fodmap
there's room for me and that number is
growing the number of people who are
gonna continue going down that rabbit
hole and the number of people are gonna
turn to Google and and be open to ideas
on different areas that that is just
absolutely gonna continue to grow so
you're you're well positioned in a cool
spot so let's talk about where you're
going with the business side of things
right so at this point you you've found
the market the audience the the niche
you've kind of come into your own as a
content creator with your own style you
found a unique angle like a unique kind
of bit within the niche that's I don't
say contrarian but but it's a good it's
a good positioning you have a unique
positioning you have a USP if you will
where does the money come in where do
you have do you have a vision for how
you can earn income are you are you
working on something do you you feel
like that's a gonna be an easy add-on is
that a big scary challenge were you out
with that the only the scary part of it
is just being there to support people
you know um but uh it's there I already
have a spreadsheet that my I want to do
group to coaching and one-on-one
coaching and then at first I was like
self-paced group coaching one-on-one
coaching but I
that I really want to do the group
coaching one-on-one coaching a couple
cycles of it like and I want to do them
separately and I want to have a
limitation I don't want to do more than
15 people at a time for group coaching
and more than eight people at a time for
one-on-one coaching I want to be able to
really focus and put my time and energy
into it transforming these people's
lives because that's what it is it's a
life transformation and so once I get a
couple cycles of that I want to see what
works what doesn't work what helps the
most people and be able to kind of see
which techniques in which treatments
work for what type of person like
whether they're more spiritual more
analytical like it to be able to
pinpoint that so then I can really put
together a really good self-paced course
that that di wires can can really you
know utilize on their own because my
model it's a it's a lifestyle change you
have to change the way you eat you have
to actually implement exercise and you
have to include your mind and a lot of
people aren't they're just like give me
a pill you know they don't want to put
the time in to workout to change their
lives but the thing is is that once they
implement these things not only be good
they're gonna see differences in their
flare-ups
they're the symptom severity but it's
also gonna be a total transformation of
their lives they're gonna have health
that they didn't even know was possible
and that is the exciting part so like on
that note we've got a guy Mick Meany who
did a 90 day challenge and he literally
was like it you know I thought it was
gonna be a good business hack and has
changed everything and he's like I'm now
looking at like other aspects of my life
like my health and I'm doing 90 day
challenges on my head and it's like it's
so interesting at how when people get
really focused to solve one problem and
they address it at the root of the
problem at the mind/body/spirit level
right like what are you taking into your
body and what are you taking in up here
right like oh there's so many so many
valuable kind of benefits that they get
on the other end it's cool that you
identify that and see that one thing I
want to touch on for for the audience
for the viewers is you nailed it like
boy girl I'm so excited for what you're
putting together like I'm really the
next three years of your life are gonna
be fantastic and I'm really excited to
be able to help but you mentioned
selling transformation you didn't say it
that way but but that's what
what it is that's what you're selling
and so many people don't realize that
that actually like people are buying a
result from you and your willingness to
spend time and like you're not going for
scale right now you're not looking for
the the hack to get your message out to
millions you're you're looking for a
kind of a small close-knit group of
people who are willing to raise their
hands so you can get access to help them
to actually help them and then monitor
what happens and you know you go
overboard on that first group of people
the amount of time it takes the amount
of energy and the amount of time you
think about them laying and waking bed
at night be like oh man what so you know
what's up with Suzy how can I help Suzy
right and like but then you create
ultimately what becomes a signature
system and that's what everybody wants
everybody wants the signature system the
to 95 or 95 95 course that they can
scale that they can sell hundreds of a
day and that's that you know that's the
recipe for the million dollar business
but that comes out of being able to help
people transform their lives and the
only way you really know how to
transform people's lives is by working
with them in small settings and see how
you can do and and seeing that feedback
and that's why I like this like you know
yeah this is for the audience in some
senses now this this video right here is
for me I'm like what like what worked
