hey miles here miles Becker calm and in
this video we're gonna look at the
marketing snack and theory behind the
new product that I created over the past
two years I've put out about four
hundred free videos here on YouTube to
help grow my audience I followed this up
with my list growth mechanism that was
my opt-in for my free course and I've
been growing my email list as well and
then just this past Monday I launched my
first product you can learn about it at
membership program where I'm taking
people from my audience from the YouTube
channel here and from my email list who
want to go deeper with their business
they want to go deeper and get more
access to me to ask specific questions
and I'm creating new specific
member-only trainings as well as doing
live webinars with those members to make
sure they get what they need to really
scale up their business so the idea
behind the membership program was
essentially my best idea on how to help
audience members who aren't yet getting
the results that they want to get the
result that they want I realized that a
little bit more personal attention from
me was required so this was a starting
point and I built my entire tech on this
idea how do I essentially create a
promise where I'll be able to take a
group of people on a journey in my inner
circle to help them scale their
businesses then what technology do I
need to make that a reality so for me it
needed to be a group format and Facebook
groups was not an option
Facebook is the number one greatest
distraction mechanism ever created I
tried running a Facebook group a while
ago I closed it down because I didn't
like the interface I feel like
conversations get lost they get buried
and ultimately people are so distracted
by a million other things on Facebook it
really wasn't a focused workspace for us
all so I started with a forum kind of
based on an old school style forum but
I'm using a very modern forum called Zen
for oh and I'm using Zen for Oh 2.0 I've
obviously put a custom theme on it and
I've customized it to my specific
likings but the core is a forum then the
tech beyond the forum I'm using thrive
cart as the shopping cart activecampaign
the automations so when someone
purchases on thrive cart that runs an
automation in active campaign that
actually gives them access to the Zen
4'o forum when someone cancels their
subscription asks for asks to cancel
their prescription and we cancel it in
the shopping cart it automatically runs
another automation inactive campaign and
that effectively removes them from the
forum itself so all of the access is
actually governed by a it's covered
inside of active campaigns in their
automations so it's essentially thrive
cart is the cart active campaign is the
management tool and then Zen forró is
the home where we actually get together
the front-end the sales page that you
can see at content and conversion comm
was built on thrive themes so it's a
wordpress installation there's a thrive
themes insulation and I used the thrive
architect tool to create that landing
page I've got a few other pages like a
thank-you page and a support page those
were also created on WordPress in the
thrive architect system to kind of keep
that look similar throughout the entire
process and that's it it's a simple and
elegant system that I've built that
allowed me to really focus mainly on the
connection with others and on the
training now before I launched I created
two new members only pieces of content
because I wanted there to be something
of value in there for when this founding
member and when this first group of
members joined up so I created two
separate trainings and I was very very
focused on which types of trainings I
created the first thing I wanted to
create was a starting from zero brand
new to internet marketing training
because I know I had a lot of people on
this channel who were brand new in the
world of internet marketing and I wanted
to be sure there was a very very deep
dive powerful training for someone who's
brand new and just getting started it
turned out to be about a two hour
training I called the fast-track to
internet income it's definitely my most
comprehensive make money online course
I've ever built so that's in there for
people who are brand new but then I
needed a course for people who are
advanced and this is my big idea course
because when you really start to get a
bit of momentum
the kind of small thing that makes a
really big difference in your business
is the big idea that you're working from
it actually runs through every aspect of
your business from your ads to your
opt-in pages to your products etc so
those are the two core pieces the two
core video trainings that I built before
and I'm on a schedule where I'm gonna be
putting out at least one new either
training or live webinar every other
week so two times per month there's
gonna be more new valuable content in
there for members
that's my ongoing deliverable not to
mention I wrote up a half dozen or a
dozen so written trainings on a bunch of
different topics so we have specific
areas for people who are doing local SEO
services for local businesses we have
areas to talk about lead generation
pay-per-click organic traffic etc and I
put starter content which are little
written trainings in each of those so
from my end as a product creator I had
to get all of the kind of content inside
of the forum
I hired Dave Wooding from integrate
procom to actually build the forums
build the automations in active campaign
and really connect that with my thrive
cart account so all of the technology
that makes it work that gets someone
from my sales page all the way into the
forums that was actually built by Dave
Wooding at integrate procom he's really
a master at these kinds of integrations
and the big last thing I want to share
with you is the idea of a hero product
for me I need ease-of-use in my life my
wife and I are still actively growing
the two brands based around her platform
this is now my second brand based around
my platform right so I've got the miles
bechler brand which you're watching here
I'm not gonna stop making these videos
I'm not gonna stop emailing my list I'm
going to continue to grow these pieces
of the puzzle as well so I took on
something totally new and what that
means is I needed to minimize the number
of things I will need to do in the
future so I didn't want to get myself
into a position where I was doing launch
cycles where I would create a new
product about topic a then I have to
launch it out to the world because every
time I do that I need to create a new
sales letter then I'd need to create a
new product in my shopping cart I
to layout and design a new members area
to give them access there's a lot of
configuration to do in that sort of a
business model I went with what I call
the hero model approach right it's a
hero product it's one product that's
going to grow over time I had to write
one sales letter I had to create one
series of automations right I had to get
the tech done once and now it's done and
now all I need to do is continue to add
value to add trainings to add the live
broadcasts inside of the membership and
I get to keep promoting this one thing
so the PS is in my daily emails will be
linking over to content and conversion

I'm going through so I can build
accountability partners mastermind
groups and together the rising tide can
float all of the boats so that's really
been my approach I wanted to be super
clear and transparent and make a
valuable video or as valuable as I could
about the the theory behind the hero
product the technology I use to put it
all together because that's one of the
big questions that so many people have
is what tech did you build it on what
did you use to build it Zen
is a paid software that was a one-time
fee I think I might have to pay annually
I already own thrive membership from my
past websites my other brands I bought a
new thrive membership thrive cart that
was about five hundred dollars so and I
already had an active campaign so for me
out of pocket with the themes and the
look and the the actual team to build it
out it was about $1,000 $1,500 I'll have
maybe three or four hundred dollars per
year recurring fees but a lot of those
fees are supported by other aspects of
my business because I run that same
theme on all four of our brands that
generate all of our income online if you
