5 Ways To Boost Your Self Esteem

hey guys Stefan here from project life
mastery comm and today I'm gonna share
with you guys five ways for you to boost
your self-esteem now I believe guys that
our self-esteem is so important that we
need to make sure that we're actively
building and cultivating it on a daily
basis because much of what you want in
your life much of the good that you want
to create and attract and bring into
your life and manifest is directly
correlated to your levels of self-esteem
and in the same way a lot of the
negative stuff a lot of the stuff you
want to avoid the problems the issues
the negative people the negative
relationships the failures the
addictions the unhappiness and the lack
of fulfillment is correlated from having
low levels of self esteem because when
you have a steam for yourself and you
feel good about yourself you feel happy
you have belief in who you are and what
you're capable of and you carry with you
that sense of confidence everywhere that
you go everything is possible guys
that's the foundation to everything you
want to create and attract you know you
want to have a great relationship and
have love and passion and a healthy
relationship or you
want to attract an
amazing person in your life that stems
from having two people that have strong
and healthy levels of self esteem a lot
of the issues and problems and
relationships stems from low levels of
self esteem jealousy and envy and anger
and reaction reacting to people negative
ways and trying to control the other
person neediness fear fear of opening up
being vulnerable accepting the other
person always kind of judge them that's
all low self-esteem guys that's that's
you know people that are happy they have
high levels of self esteem they don't
feel the need to do that they're secure
within themselves and I believe that's
something that we should always strive
for and we can build that and the same
thing goes guys if you want to build a
great business I see a lot of people
they lack belief because they don't have
high levels of self-esteem they're
suffering from low self esteem maybe
people in your life your parents your
teachers or your peers said that you
weren't good enough
you know and you're never gonna amount
for anything in your life and you never
got a lot of praise or acknowledgement
growing up and so therefore you don't
have that belief or self-esteem 'slow
and that's what you're starting from and
then there's an opportunity to change
your life like building a business or
changing your financial situation or
even sometimes attracting this amazing
person in your life often times when you
have low levels of self-esteem one you
don't feel that you deserve it you know
who are you to be able to have that
amazing person in your life or to have a
great relationship there's you know that
person has many other options I'm not
good enough for them or I can't you know
build a business or you might see other
people out there they're succeeded and
achieve massive success but you don't
believe in yourself enough that you can
also create that for you and that stems
from the low levels of self-esteem so I
want you guys to understand a lot of
this affects everything in our lives if
you don't believe in yourself if you
don't have levels of self-esteem you're
not gonna take any action you're not
gonna do any good you know you're not
gonna be a force for good and wanted to
make a difference out there in other
people's lives because you know you're
coming from a you know an empty cup I
guess you could say and you don't want
to be in that scarcity mentality that
empty cup you want to be overflowing you
want to be full and when you're falling
your abundant then you you know you
don't react you don't let things affect
you you know that much and you're
someone that is in a position to give
and be a leader in this world which is
what I believe that we all need more of
you know oftentimes when I see a lot of
complaining and negativity and
criticizing and judgment and you guys
see all that's the sort of stuff online
on the media on the news even from the
presidents and people like that and
often times when you look at bullying
and negativity and all those things that
occur it always stems from low levels of
self esteem insecurity because often
when someone feels insecure they feel
threatened they feel insignificant and
oftentimes one of the best ways for them
to feel more secure with themselves or
to feel better about themselves is to
bring other people down you know there's
the same that goes there's two way
to have the tallest building in the city
you could build it yourself which
require years and sacrifice and hard
work and a lot of money and creativity
and passion and commitment and all the
different qualities it takes to succeed
in anything or you can tear down
everyone else around you and tearing
down everyone else is a lot faster
oftentimes and you can you know tear
down everyone else and you're the
tallest building and you know it's just
not a long-term sustainable strategy and
so oftentimes a lot of people that have
low self-esteem
it's like this negative cycle whether
it's bringing other people down and
they're there creating more of a problem
so I want to provide a solution I want
to share with you guys five different
ways and the reason why I kind of ranted
a little bit cuz I want you to associate
and understand the importance of this
how valuable this is to your life and
really assess yourself assess yourself
and ask yourself what is your levels of
self esteem do you feel that fear hold
you back that anxiety that you're not
good enough that you know you don't have
that belief to take action in a business
or your career or to you know earn
wealth or have a great relationship or a
great body or whatever that might be
because I think having that awareness of
that is key and then cultivating rituals
in your life to build on a daily basis
your levels of self esteem can really
make an impact and I'll share with you
guys five ways and they're very simple
okay it doesn't require a lot of work
but it is gonna require new habits and a
new standard for yourself moving forward
and the results are worth it okay so I
want to show you guys five different
ways I think one of the simplest things
that build self-esteem is just taking
action taking action when you actually
take action guys in your life and you do
something that you know okay a lot of
people they just want to consume
knowledge but knowledge is not enough
knowledge is not gonna change your life
it's what you do with that knowledge
that really matters and a lot of people
they get caught up and just consuming
more and more information but don't do
anything with it if you can actually
start applying things in your life you
know like you know you don't have to
transform your whole body to have high
levels of self-esteem but just but the
act of going to the gym eating healthy
food every day doing your morning ritual
making your bed I remember my mom used
to always say
make your bed everyday just because when
you start your day that way guys and you
just make your bed as simple as that is
you know or you clean up after yourself
you feel good about yourself you get
momentum from that you know and when you
especially when you do the job right
you know when you cut corners oftentimes
that negatively affects your self-esteem
you know when you you know you've got a
plant or you're dusting your apartment
whatever there's a plant or a picture
frame and you dust around it and part of
you knows that you could have done a
better job oftentimes that lowers your
self-esteem versus when you do the job
right and you pick it up when you you do
it properly and you leave that you can
feel good about yourself and what
happens is the more that you get in the
habit of just taking action your life in
each aspect of your life again that
could be eating well it could be
following different rituals that you
have or different habits or improving
yourself or taking action towards your
business or a career or financially or
saving money whatever it is you don't
have to be where you want to be just yet
but the act of doing what's right every
time you do something that's good in
your life that's moving you forward
towards where do you want to go you're
gonna feel better about yourself okay
it's gonna boost your self-esteem so I'd
say that's one of the most important
things and I really believe guys it's
the little things that matter don't
think you got to achieve big things for
you to change your self-esteem it's all
the little things often times when when
you're a lazy you're not doing anything
with your life or you're not you know
doing what you know that's when you feel
bad about yourself that's when your
self-esteem plummets when you're sitting
on the couch eating junk food every day
and just watching TV that's that's not
gonna lead to you know highest levels of
self-esteem and that's often times of
the place where a lot of people are
coming from when they're you know being
negative or haters and things like that
online is because they're in that place
and that state of mind of low
self-esteem so taking action I think
that's one of the simplest things that
anybody can do everything as little as
just taking good care of yourself you
know doing your rituals every day eating
healthy making her bed all those little
things those are gonna boost your
self-esteem you get momentum from that
and you're gonna take bigger and bigger
actions so before you know it you're on
stop
okay so that's number one the second way
to boost your self-esteem is through
authenticity and honesty being authentic
and being honest and there's a really
great book that I was reading called
rewired and it's a book all about
addictions and how to overcome them and
in the book the the therapist or the
psychologist was sharing that a lot of
the patients that she deals with that
deal with addictions in their life
whether that's drugs or alcohol or
pornography or junk food or sugar or
technology or gossiping or shopping or
gambling or whatever it might be
oftentimes results from low levels of
self-esteem that was the one common
denominator from that and often that
stems from being an authentic and being
dishonest in their lives because
oftentimes people that are addicts in
their lives and we all have different
things we're addicted to you or not
proud of when you're being inauthentic
and you're putting on a front or a face
or persona and you're making everything
seem that your life is great but behind
the scenes it isn't and on you're
dealing with problems in your life and
you have this shame to actually share
and be vulnerable with the world or
other people then that's being an
authentic and you're living a lie and
it's a great quote from this book I want
to share a few guys she said that lying
of any kind lowers our self-esteem okay
lying of any kind lowers our self-esteem
we are reinforcing our feelings of
inadequacy every time we try to make
ourselves look and sound just a little
bit better than we think we are a truly
confident person at peace with himself
or herself does not need to reach for
this crutch
now that's worth thinking about we're
all guilty of lying you know we've all
lied at one point of our lives you know
no one's perfect and oftentimes it's the
lies that we don't think about because
lying in a way or being inauthentic can
become habitual it's almost like you
don't even think about you're not even
aware of it and one thing that's really
served me and boosting my self-esteem is
looking at all the different areas of my
life that I've I've been in authentic or
being an authentic or lying and really
practicing pure honesty okay purely just
authentic from when someone asks you you
know how you doing today and you're
feeling like and you said I feel
great that's lying that's being an
authentic you know you're not fully
expressing who you are or how you feel
in that moment and the problem with that
is when you tell a lie and now that's
just a simple example but obviously
there's more drastic ones as well or
you're putting on a front or you're
you're exaggerating things you know
you're telling a story and you over
exaggerate that story to the people
because why are you doing that well when
you tell the story you want to make
yourself look good you want to make
yourself or that situation or story look
or feel better than it really was you
know or you're too afraid to be
vulnerable and open up and so you put up
different stories or things that make
you look or sound better than you really
are or feeling the problem with that is
that other people don't know but you
know you know and when you know you know
it's almost like there's an authentic
inner voice that we all have and carry
with us but when you know that you're
not being true to yourself or not being
authentic you're not being honest you're
the one that suffers because it lowers
your self-esteem because if you're
totally comfortable and confident with
yourself you wouldn't feel the need to
exaggerate or lie or whatever it might
be
you'd be okay just with expressing how
you feel in that moment or expressing
the truth and being okay with that being
totally comfortable with it so that's
something worth pondering looking at
your life and just looking at just just
the the little lies that you might say
and oftentimes it's just being aware of
it because often we might not be aware
of you know some of those things you
know it could even be lying on your tax
return you know or you know lying in
that job interview to get that job or
exaggerating or me or whatever it might
be and it might make you more money it
might get you that job it might save you
money it might who knows what but you're
gonna understand that that is at the
cost of your self-esteem and how you
feel about yourself it's gonna have
negative consequence and I'm not perfect
nobody is but having this awareness guys
and just practicing honesty and
authenticity I think is one of the most
important things that we can do to make
sure that our boosting and cultivating
that level of self-esteem okay that
might admit you know required you
admitting that you're wrong
asking for help swallowing your pride
apologizing telling you the truth
sharing your problems or challenges
being vulnerable when you can do that
guys again it doesn't matter what
happens on the outside internally you're
gonna feel so much better about yourself
the third way and I really believe this
is affirmations because I believe that
the words that we carry and that we say
to ourselves and other people also carry
a tremendous impact in our lives and I
believe that who we are at our core get
at our core our solar spirit is someone
who is truly happy someone that is
confident someone that is secure someone
that is high levels of self esteem and
fulfilled and passionate and all the
things that you want that's already
within us and the low self-esteem and
the problems and the negative beliefs
and things in the programming that we
have oftenest is the result of negative
conditioning programming from our
environment or parents or different
events of life that we've created these
negative meanings and associations or
beliefs that can then govern and affect
our lives and I believe that the remedy
the solution for that is through
affirmations and actually positively
creating intentions for your life your
day and who you are declaring that
saying that out loud again and again and
again you know it could be as simple as
just saying yourself I have high self
esteem I love myself I'm confident I'm
capable I believe in myself that I
deserve happiness I deserve joy deserve
the best you know and all of that is
true all of that is true you're not
lying to yourself for being an authentic
you're speaking the truth of who you
really are and what I believe our
Creator has given us and provided for us
and created us for
so I believe in having a ritual every
day every morning you guys know if you
follow my other videos my morning
rituals whatnot I have these cards that
I write out and I like to speak out loud
these different affirmations and I found
that that incredibly boost my
self-esteem not just for the day but
just my whole confidence in my life in
general because often times these
negative beliefs that we have we believe
them because we said them to ourselves
again and again and again and again that
you just accept that that's that's what
you are you know if you keep saying
yourself I can't do something then sure
enough eventually you're gonna fully
believe it or if you have a parent or
someone else that keeps putting you down
or saying that you're not gonna mount
them much in your life they're gonna
believe it because it's just been set to
you again and again and you can reverse
that conditioning and and and create
those empowering beliefs that you want
to have in your life just by positively
speaking through affirmations every day
so I've got other videos that have gone
into that highly recommend it but I
found that has tremendous power in
really boosting levels of self-esteem
the fourth way to boost your self-esteem
is through contribution giving making a
difference beyond yourself because when
you step outside yourself and you help
and serve someone else whether it's a
stranger a homeless person someone worse
off than you giving to a charity
volunteering what that does guys is
amazing for your levels of self esteem
and confidence you know oftentimes a lot
of the problems the issues that we have
the low self-esteem stems from us
obsessing and focusing just on ourselves
but when you step outside of yourself
your problems all those definitions the
low self esteem dissipates number one
you realize that you're not alone that
there's other people out there facing
the same thing that you're going through
if not a hundred times worse and it
changes your perspective it makes you
feel grateful and appreciative for the
life that you have and whatever it is
that you're going through but beyond
that you know when you serve something
greater than yourself and you contribute
the feelings that you get back in return
it's just it's unlike anything I can
describe you know it becomes an
addiction in a way you know I remember I
got it into volunteering years ago I
discussed
addicted to that feeling of making a
difference because I saw the impact and
more than that I knew what I was doing
this right you know it was a line of my
values I know I knew that I was a good
person and nobody could ever take that
away from me what I've given you know
I've been involved in some philanthropy
work now and I've shared it before it's
on my website but building houses for
families I remember going to El Salvador
and Nicaragua and physically going there
to build a house for a family and I paid
for the house and I I physically built
it over two days with the team and to
meet that family to spend time with them
and have them love me and care for me
and share with me how I'm changing their
life and I'm a gift from God that that
that's something that does so much for
your self-esteem that that family prays
for me every single day and they're
living this house and raising their
family and and having that roof over
their head because of me how can you not
feel great about yourself not in an
egotistical way not being arrogant but
the level of good when you do that level
of good and you know that people love
and care for you in that way no one can
take that away from you that's something
that you get a key that boosts your
self-esteem I like unlike anything you
could imagine I went to Ethiopia guys
and I got to be a part of a school
inauguration where they honored me and
other people to help build schools there
and those are the most powerful
experiences of my life because I got to
spend a few days with the kids and the
families the community having all these
kids follow you around and love you and
hug you and and thank you and just
knowing how much you mean to them it's
very overwhelming experience when you go
there and you experience it but I
remember you know from things like that
that I've done I've experienced I know
that it does not matter at all what
someone else criticizes me about or
hates on me for being you know people
out there I could say I'm a bad person
or whatever it is I know the truth I
know the impact that I've make made and
given to this world and no one can take
that away and so often times I don't get
down on myself at all anymore because I
just know what I've done and what I know
what I've given and again it's not in
the egotistical way or an arrogant way
but it just it just fills you up with I
don't know what but just so much
self-esteem so much confidence in
yourself knowing that and it's something
that you're not gonna have a hard time
explaining it guys because you have to
do it to experience it you know you have
to get outside yourself one do it
consistently to really fully experience
that but it does wonders for your
self-esteem and the last piece that I
want to share with you guys is just
doing what's right you know I believe
that we all have a moral compass we all
know what's right and wrong now I have a
friend who went to prison a number of
years ago I think like 15 years ago and
he went to prison for I'm not entirely
familiar with all the details but went
to prison for stealing and and some
negative things that's you know we're
horrible things that he did and he's
changed his life and he's a great person
now today but I remember talking to him
about that I said you know when you were
involved in these things that you're
doing that were criminal you found a way
to justify it and make it right but deep
down inside did you know that what you
were doing was wrong and he said yeah of
course he said that you know when you're
caught up in that and you're stealing or
you're lying and you're living this life
you're committing all these different
crimes and breaking the law
you've it's like you find ways to
rationalize and justify that you know
all the different reasons of why you're
doing that whether you're no screw these
people or screw the government and it's
us versus them whatever it is whatever
the justification was but deep down
inside he knew he had an inner voice
that knew what was right and wrong and I
believe that we all have that we all
have the inner voice and when you can
trust your intuition and listen to it
more often and just doing the right
thing and we all know what the right
thing is the right thing is just
complimenting someone else or giving to
someone else or tell them the truth or
being honest or caring for someone
else or her face that the dilemma in
life or whatever it is you know I
remember one time in my life I found
someone lost something and there was a
part of me when I received it and I
found it I was like I want to keep this
for myself but I knew that it would
lower my self-esteem so I said to myself
listen I'm gonna return this to that
other person because it's the right
thing to do and just by making that
decision and doing what was right in
that moment no one else would have known
I could have kept it for myself but I
decided I was gonna do what's right in
that moment and I returned it and the
person was thankful because I knew you
know I thought about the pain that that
person would have by losing that thing
that they lost but when I did the right
thing it just does wonders for your
levels of self-esteem in confidence so
trusting that intuition guys and just
doing what's right consistently in your
life doing the right thing I think
that's one of the most important things
that we can all do so self-esteem guys
five things these are the things that
hopefully you guys will take the heart
things that you'll cultivate and build
off of more in your life and just make
sure that you're a good person you know
when you look in your mirror in the
mirror each day you've got to be happy
with the reflection looking back at you
that's what self-esteem is being
comfortable with yourself being
comfortable with the shadow that follows
you around and only you know that answer
only you know the truth but if they're
proactive and just becoming a better
person and boosting it then it's gonna
transfer like I said guys to every area
of your life your relationships your
family life your friends your business
your career your confidence your
happiness or well-being it's all gonna
contribute to that in a huge way
so hopefully this message in this video
can serve you guys today and pass some
positivity to your life and and really
allow you to think about how you've been
living your life and how you can boost
and increase your self-esteem on a
regular basis I believe that one of the
best ways that I've always cultivated
for myself has been having a morning
ritual where every
in the morning I take the time for
myself that really boosts my self-esteem
to make sure that I'm at my best every
day you know waking up with the smile on
my face and journaling and you know do
my affirmations and focusing on the good
in my life and filling myself up now I
found that to be a powerful process and
I've got a great morning ritual cheat
sheet that I think can add to your
mornings that has a bunch of different
rituals that I do every single day for
your body mind and spirit I'd like to
offer that to you so if you want to get
