How To Create A High Converting Lead Magnet - And Learn Why Your Free Report Isn't Working!

and in this video we are going to look
at the question how do you make a great
lead magnet and you might call it
something a little different you might
call it a free giveaway you might call
it a lead bait you might call it an
ethical bribe essentially the question
is how do you create that free giveaway
item that you're going to offer on your
opt-in page or your squeeze page in
exchange for their email address and
I've got a little trick here that's work
absolute wonders in my business and that
trick I'm against straight into it no BS
and around here it's giving the user an
experience right so a lot of people have
been using the whole just ebook give a
free ebook right give away something or
in my affiliate marketing funnel video
I've even said that you can give away
just a video sales letter right that has
some sort of a secret in it and I'll
link you to that videos you can learn
more about that concept but if you're
building a long-term business if you're
trying to position yourself as an expert
you're building an online platform or a
brand and you're looking to help someone
who doesn't know you and found your ad
and found your opt-in page go to the
point where they know like and trust you
really quickly increasing the likelihood
of their willingness to buy
significantly in a very short period of
time the real trick is give them an
experience with your teaching with your
expertise or whatever it is that you do
a couple of examples in the real world
here number one my wife and my business
right so we started our business
initially my wife was doing reading she
was doing one-on-one angel readings a
form of a psychic reading is what she
was offering and there really wasn't
much of a funnel around that and it took
a lot of energy we pivoted that business
model to offer mp3's I had the idea
can't we just record one of these
sessions and sell it and that way we can
potentially sell it 1020 hundred
thousand times instead of one reading
one person one sale try two one
recording hundreds of sale that was the
idea and then we needed to figure out a
way to build our list so how do we build
list we gave away one of our free items
we literally gave away one of that which
we are now charging for we have not
changed this opt-in model in like seven
years it still works to this day and
they didn't really understand how
powerful it was or why it was working so
well at first we kind of stumbled upon
it to be perfectly honest but what has
happened here and what the situation
turned out is that the moment the user
obtains that free item they get it on
their phone right they put in their
earbuds and they press play and then
they close their eyes and they have an
experience and my wife they're the music
we use and we create is there and it
creates this audio experience and the
person they feel relaxed they feel light
wash over them all of these other kind
of niche phrases these things happen but
they feel it right it's not a logical
read a book okay two plus two is four ba
ba ba ba you know logic logic logic it's
not that kind of a situation it's much
more experiential and people it's
impossible to doubt your experiences
right this is why the UFO phenomenon is
so strong or the the crop circles when
people have an experience with the UFO
or an experience at a crop circle they
feel something they become incredibly
real or when somebody's standing there
in the middle of a desert night they see
something crazy in the sky do something
crazy and they have that experience
you're never going to convince that
person with logic ever that there's no
such thing as UFOs I don't care what you
think about it or not I'm just trying to
use a random example for some reason
that's the first thing that came to mind
so how does this translate into other
businesses cool that's a really good
example so let's say that you help
people with let's say you help parents
and children right you help parents with
unruly children calm their parents what
you could potentially teach in a
giveaway is the one trick to calm your
child down in 30 seconds guaranteed and
it might be a breathing exercise right
like a certain way of breathing that
they can do for 30 seconds
and what's going to happen is the
parents going to opt in they're going to
do my kids out of control unruly child
calm perfect like this guy's offering
help for me the trick to calming my
unruly child that's where I'm at perfect
they opt-in at that point and they get
the breathing exercise and they do the
breathing exercise and they experience a
shift in their child instantly at that
point you've proven yourself as an
expert you've proven yourself and you've
proven what you do in the business we're
in the world of your niche into your
audience that you can deliver on your
promises and in that individual the
likelihood of them purchasing from you
in the future goes up significantly
let's take a look at another example
this is an old-school example I'm going
to call this the drug dealer method I
don't condone this but it's kind of
something you may have heard of before
and the old drug dealer method I
remember a guy in high school used to
give other people little bits of high
quality marijuana this never happened to
me never participate in this whatsoever
he would give them a little mug and say
here go try this later if you like it
you know where to find me and what
happened that dude sold the most
marijuana in my high school period
because he gave people an experience he
gave people with a quality of what he
was selling as his entrepreneurial self
and people would go experience that and
be like boom that that's the real deal I
want that and he literally had a very
very good business throughout high
school right so how can you in your
business give an experience I got one
more example we're going to go kind of
old-school internet marketing and this
is Evan pagan back when he was doing the
David DeAngelo stuff I've got this
squeeze page on my opt-in pages revealed
or often pages reviewed video I'll link
to it in the description so you can see
the actual opt-in page and that's a
really good video because it ties into
this you'll get to see what some of the
kind of bigwigs I think I covered five
or six different opt-in pages and
they're giveaways Evan pagan taught the
KISS secret right it was a secret - it
was a kiss test excuse me
kiss test and the kiss test was your way
his target market was guys who were
trying to
dates and trying to get to second and
third base on dates and the trick was
essentially he gave away the secret the
secret was the kiss test and it was
enter your email learned the kiss test
and you'll know definitively for sure at
the end of a date if she wants to kiss
you or not what was the kiss test it was
super simple the end of the day you walk
her up to her door to say good night and
then you go and you move the hair behind
her ear if she leans in towards you
that's your signal to give her a kiss if
she pulled away that means you don't go
for the tech go for the kiss right so
the test is you just go put her hair
behind her ear and then the response is
if she leans in towards you go for the
kiss it's going to work if she leans
away if the kiss ain't going to work so
don't go for it you'll feel like a fool
so he gave that away right and guys who
go out and dates and they would try it
it works what happens the next time they
get an email from David D'Angelo they're
hooked they know this guy's tactics work
they want more and at that point someone
goes from being a skeptic someone goes
from being like curious to knowing that
this guy's stuff works and willing to
get in line to line up and purchase from
him so how do you adapt this for your
business I don't exactly know to be
perfectly honest because I don't know
your business if you need help with this

itself so be willing to try some things
but really take it some time to think
about how can you give a give people
give your audience and experience
because once they have that experience
they're yours right everything becomes
easy from that point on so give an
experience not just content and that my
friend is the ultimate trick to your
lead bait to a killer lead magnet to a
giveaway that get subscribers but not
only get subscribers and get those
subscribers ready to become customers
because ultimately that's your goal is
