hey miles Becker here and in this video
we're going to cover the simple funnel
that really truly kind of revolutionized
mine and my wife's business back in
about 2012 2013 now I learned about this
through Mike Dillard from an old
Membership course that he ran it was
called live free and prosper and it was
essentially teaching people how to build
this exact funnel and helping them kind
of optimized for conversions so you can
start running paid traffic to it before
this point in our business everything
was based on hope we would put out
content and the kind of idea of just put
out great content the search engine will
find you people will find you they'll
eventually subscribe and then they'll
eventually buy and it was working I
don't want to say it wasn't working
because it was but it took a lot more
energy than it needed and it was a lot
less efficient than it could have been
we found that people wanted to buy our
products more we weren't giving them
enough opportunities to purchase so
that's exactly what this funnel did and
let's jump right into it let's take a
look at what this funnel is let me get
myself out of the way and here we are so
the name self-liquidating funnel comes
from the fact that the goal of this
funnel is to liquidate your ad spend and
by liquidate ad spend it means to help
recoup the cost of what you're paying
per click relatively quickly so what
happens is the first page they see is
the opt-in page and you've seen this
talk about this I mean I've talked about
this in a few other videos right the you
learn the free something free secret to
blank it could be a free report it could
be a free video it could be a free audio
file but you're essentially giving
something away on the front end for free
in exchange for their email when they
submit that they are taken to what's
called an OT o page OTO stands for
one-time offer this is where they're
going to see one time one chance to get
some of your best products at a steep
steep discount by steep discount I mean
at least 35% off we live in the Groupon
day and age maybe coupons come and went
to be honest but I think Groupons bare
minimum they'll work with people out is
like 32
35% off so on the OT owes generally
you're going to try to get 50 to 75
percent off to make it a really
no-brainer for them to purchase I've
tested ot owes at $7 995 47 97 and I'm
really I've been doing really well with
one that's seventeen dollars we've
stacked on for products that total sold
for about sixty eight dollars each we've
bundled them together as our best
selling products and you can get all the
best selling products for 17 dollars and
again this happens the moment they opt
in it's instantaneous that they're
getting an offer then from there they go
to a checkout page and when they
complete the purchase process they go to
a delivery page and that's where they
download what they just purchased and
what happens at this point also is they
make it on to your customer email list
so you get them on your prospect list
here your customer list here now the
number of people who make it through
this page is probably going if you're
just starting out it's going to be about
20% if you get twenty twenty-five
percent people opting in for your free
item right off the bat that's doing
really well I pull about 50% of people
through testing and split testing which
we'll get into so about 50% of the
people who reach my opt-in page make it
onto my list and they see the one-time
offer now on the one-time offer I'm
converting right now about one and a
half percent of people onto my one-time
offer my goal is to get that up to three
percent that's what I'm currently
working on and I'm working on the
message and I'm working on the offer and
I'm testing new things to see if I can
get that to three percent so what
happens right so if you think about it a
hundred people come to this page 50
people make it to this page and one
maybe to actually purchase but what that
means is if two people purchase
I've instantly made 34 dollars right
there and this process takes someone
minutes to get through literally like
from the time they clicked an opt-in to
the time they're checking out it could
be five minutes so from within five
minutes of sending a hundred clicks I've
made about thirty four dollars so if I'm
able to send a hundred clicks at the
33 cents each that would mean I'm paying
$33 in traffic I'm making 34 dollars
from that traffic and here's the best
part I've got 48 people on my email list
right here that I'm going to followup
with and our email list does a very good
job of building relationship and selling
our other products so the goal of this
kind of funnel is to be break-even on
the front end this is the front end of
your funnel you need to have products on
the back end that you sell in addition
to this so the goal here the first goal
I mean obviously we want this to be
profitable but let's be serious you know
when you start you're going to be cash
flow negative and then you're going to
get it up to cash flow breakeven and
then you'll get to cash flow positive if
you're here with running this kind of a
funnel at break-even meaning you put in
$1 and you make a dollar out and you're
getting hundreds and hundreds of
subscribers at the exact same time in my
opinion you've won at that point you
want to buy as many opt-ins as you can
and that's really this is really one of
the core reasons why I've been able to
build a list of over 95,000 people I've
actually brought in 120 plus thousand
people to the list I've just scrubbed
people off of it who stopped responding
and the the freebie seekers essentially
get removed at a certain point so this
is it if you're building an information
product business with your own product
if you have a service that you're
offering this is where you want to start
if you run a service this OTO could be a
30-minute consultation that's normally
$250 that you do for $49 to see if
you're a good fit if they're a good fit
then you sell them on your one two three
four thousand dollar whatever your
consultation is if you're doing
information based products this is a
great way to build I mean you have to be
doing this honestly to grow an
information based business relatively
quickly so this is it again I got simple
in the name right it's super simple so
we run traffic to an opt-in page when
they opt-in for something free they go
to a one-time offer page this one-time
offer offers them a chance to make a
purchase
right away and that purchase is it's a
screaming deal for them after they check
out they get the product they're happy
we're happy we make a little cash flow
that goes right back into our marketing
to bring more people to our opt-in list
and this is how you can scale a business
really really simply so that's it
