hey my name is Miles bechler and in this
video we're going to talk about what is
a marketing funnel so if you've been on
other videos of mine you've probably
heard me talking about marketing funnels
and sales funnels it's something I
personally geek out about because it has
created a significant amount of
financial reward by figuring out this
puzzle that is a marketing funnel and it
kind of became clear to me I got a
couple of questions on some comments
that like well what exactly is a formal
what is it that you're talking about I
get that you're building an online
business but what's the funnel part of
it so let me clarify that a marketing
funnel is essentially it's a specific
series of informational pieces generally
they're going to be educational and
they're designed to help someone who
doesn't know who you are doesn't know
you can solve their problem doesn't know
you can help them fulfill their greatest
desire it introduces you to them to your
philosophies to your ideas it helps them
learn how to or get to know you
essentially like you and trust you and
at that point it lets them know about
how your product or your service can
solve their greatest problem and at this
point that's where the cash flow happens
in between they're the steps is
generally speaking they're going to get
on your list at some point whether it's
your email list or your physical mailing
list so where did this concept come from
right this isn't a new idea even though
leveraging it in these kind of ways that
we're talking about in this channel is
it's a little bit new it's kind of the
leading edge of internet marketing at
this point in time but this goes back to
like old school Direct Mail and old
school direct response marketing so
there was a long time when kind of the
basis of communication from marketers in
this method was either by sending junk
mail or running advertisements in
magazines or newsletters or newsprint
and essentially they would do the same
thing whether it was a direct mail piece
or whether it was an advertisement it
would offer a free report
free report reveals the secret to blank
and you would call a phone number and
the person on the other end would take
your name and your address and they
would mail you your free report now your
free report would probably be about
seven to ten to twelve pages that really
really break down the problem and break
down the solution and at the end of that
free report there would be an offer for
you to buy their thirty seven or forty
seven dollar product this is their front
end product if you do purchase that
thirty seven or forty seven dollar
product they'll mail it right out to you
and indeed what you get on this is an
even longer sales message now it still
solves your problem they're delivering
on what they say they're going to
deliver on four thirty seven but at the
end of that product they let you know
that they have a thousand dollar product
or a two thousand dollar product or a
five thousand dollar product that can
help you solve your problem faster or
solve additional problems it's always
going to be relevant and that
essentially is their sales funnel they
use the advertisements or direct mail to
connect with people who don't know who
they are some people take a step and get
on the mailing list to receive items
mailed to them which is serving two
purposes it is number one informational
it gives them the information they're
requesting and number two it is a sales
pitch and it offers them a product that
will take it even further when they
purchase this product then they get the
answer that they bought and an
additional sales message that assists
them in potentially purchasing more
getting one-on-one coaching going to a
live seminar for the event whatever it
may be so that's kind of the old school
and how they've transitioned this online
it uses the same sort of steps but it's
all based on web pages now and email
autoresponders so the first web page
that a visitor will visit after clicking
through your advertisement or finding
you on social media or a search engine
is going to offer a free report or a
free video that is going to help them
solve their problem when they click and
enter their email address to get the
free report or the free video that
report or the
video can offer a first product in the
funnel which would be a 3717 $27 product
they've been called everything from trip
wires to front-end sales to liquidating
offers and then once that item is
purchased do you have the opportunity to
give them a one-click upsell or an
upsell of an additional product that
will make that process that you're
solving for them faster easier simpler
it'll speed up the the time it takes for
them to solve the problem whatever it
may be and that's gonna be a little
different for everyone in every niche so
whether it's the old school direct
marketing Direct Mail which still works
like gangbusters by the way there's a
lot of marketers who still only focus on
mail or whether it's a new funnel
hacking kind of an aggressive internet
marketing funnel or at least an advanced
internet marketing funnel like we've
covered in this channel it serves the
same purpose you help someone who has a
problem or a desire who doesn't know
about you but you can help them solve
their problem or achieve their desire
they don't yet know about you so you run
an advertisement on social media or on
pay-per-click or on someone else's email
list and you let them know for free
you're going to help them take the first
step towards solving their problem they
click they enter their email address
they get the first step towards solving
their problem you offer them a basic
product that is seven to thirty seven
forty seven dollars up to ninety seven
if you'd like you offer them that basic
product that's going to help make it
faster or easier etc and then after that
you can offer higher and higher value
products because once they become your
customer it's easier to sell them on
more products they know you they like
you they trust you they've seen how you
operate they love your ideas and they
want more and this is the basic of the
basics of marketing funnel so that's
really the ultimate goal I call it an
online business it's a you know
lifestyle business but it's all based
around these kinds of putting these
systems together because you can
automate the entire process of building
relationship connecting with people who
are interested in what you have and
converting the sales it can be 100%
automated so your sales funnel can do
one sale a day five sales a day ten
sales a day a hundred sales a day or
more you set it up once
you continue to refine it over time to
make it more efficient and it continues
to perform for you
month after month week after week year
after year I had my first big aha moment
and created my first funnel in 2013 I'm
still running a variation of that to
this day and we've added on some more
advanced funnels since then and we
market them all individually and they
all convert leads and they all convert
leads into sales and it's pretty magical
once you get it set up and there's an
infinite pool of people I mean seven
eight billion people on the planet so
there's there's literally an infinite
pool of people there you can never run
out of customers no matter what your
little niche is in some very very kind
of abstract and very small niche niches
that are seemingly like really you could
make money in that sort of a niche and
indeed we my wife and I make full-time
income with these kinds of systems so
that's what a sales funnel is or a
marketing funnel and I really implore
