hey miles Becker here in this video
we're going to go over the Facebook
tracking pixel what it is how to get it
and how to install it on either thrive
themes or your clickfunnels website so
the pixel this is a really really
important piece to have built in or
funnel depending on how you're building
out your funnel you need this on every
single page so what is it it's
ultimately like a tracking system
that'll allow Facebook to track who goes
and visits what different pages on your
funnel you can use this to create custom
audiences you can use this data to
create look-alike audiences and you use
this data to track your conversions of
your opt-ins and your sales to see how
far in your funnel your visitors are
getting from Facebook and you can find
your your biggest drop-off points and it
kind of Clues you in on on what needs
your attention as you move forward
optimizing and split testing your funnel
so it's called the Facebook pixel why is
it called a pixel what is a pixel so on
this video you're watching right now
it's displaying on a screen whether it's
your phone your laptop or whatever and
that screen is full of pixels they're
the little tiny dots that are the colors
that make up the screen so what
essentially happens is you give Facebook
one pixel on your website it's not
visible to the naked eye at all and it
loads when your web page loads and when
this pixel loads it plants a cookie on
the browser of the visitor
now that cookie says that this person
has been to this website and it gets
more specific down to the page and if
that person is on Facebook Facebook
begins tracking okay this individual
from Facebook who you can advertise to
or retarget to went to these pages on
your website and if they make it through
to the checkout Facebook knows hey this
visitor that clicked from an ad made it
all the way to check out and became a
customer and it can track it effectively
and it can tell you what your conversion
rate is it also gives you the ability
again to remarket to these individuals
which is really powerful so all the
jargon aside it's a little tracking
cookie it's a little tracking
snippet of code that you get from
Facebook and you put it inside of your
website and you need it to load on every
page of your website once that's set up
there's more you can do with it we'll
cover that in the next video but for
right now let's go ahead and grab our
pixel out of the ad manager and let's go
put it in place on our website so let me
get myself out of the way and let's go
into the ad manager so you log in you're
at your ad manager and up here in the
corner you click on the little three
line icon and you go to all tools and
under assets
there's the pixels and you click that
and last year they updated their pixel
so you notice there's the Facebook pixel
and then there's the conversion tracking
pixel old this is disappearing very soon
I think it's completely gone in about
three months
so you want to make sure you're using
the Facebook pixel and what we want to
do is we want to go actions and view
pixel code now I've got mine set up you
you might already you might not have it
set up and it would be like generate
pixel code but you want to just view the
pixel code and here's what it does is it
gives you the base code right and it
tells you what to do with this and if
you have a tech person they could handle
this for you but it's really really
really simple so the trick is you wanted
to go in the header which is inside of
the head tag and if that means nothing
to you that's totally okay we will look
at exactly how that's done and again if
you saw that you just hover over it and
click it copies it to your to your
clipboard you can click next but really
what we need to do is just go inside of
the code itself to add it to our website
which is what I'm going to do next and
let's see here okay so this is the event
code first of all let's go get right
here the base code we need to get the
base code into every single page on our
site so I've got it copied and I'm
hearing clickfunnels on my clickfunnels
dashboard so go over here to your
clickfunnels funnel open up the funnel
and then in the Settings area click on
things you will see that we have the
head tracking code exactly what we want
and I just pasted it in there you can
see it says n Facebook pixel code you
can see that it's got that code in there
and I come to the bottom and I save and
update settings as you can see here and
that's it I've got the base code in
throughout my funnel now inside of
clickfunnels super simple to do you can
do this yourself or you can have your
tech person do it let's do this inside
of WordPress I'm here inside of my
WordPress website that runs on thrive
themes which is the theme that I
recommend and down here you'll see
there's the thrive dashboard and then we
want to go into theme options for
whatever your thrive theme is and you'll
see there's the analytics and script
this is similar place to where you put
your Google Analytics code and you'll
see again header script this is going
inside of the head section and I've
already got one little code of script in
there so I'm just going to add this to
the bottom it has been added and I'm
going to save the changes and there you
have it we've got the base code now
added both to our WordPress site and to
our click funnel site all in all that
that really didn't take much time at all
but that's the base code that's what you
need to do to get started to get the
tracking setup if you're already driving
traffic if you're driving traffic from
multiple sources you absolutely need to
get this pixel code setup right away and
if you're going to be moving into
running Facebook pay-per-click ads you
need to get that base code set up right
away in the next video we're going to go
into some of the deeper bits of the code
of how to set it up to track the
conversions and the different steps of
your funnel but for right now go get
that code installed and we'll see you on
