hi miles bechler here and in this video
we're going to talk about the importance
of getting started and the power of
iteration now I'm in here in Bangkok in
my hotel room and I just went to a
meetup group where a bunch of
information product marketers were
getting together I was broken into
multiple tables and I went to the funnel
table and there are a lot of people who
are struggling to get their first funnel
they feel like they need to get every
single understanding of every piece and
every component and they need to figure
out every step of their value ladder
before they get started and what's
happening is they're not making any
money they're not actually growing their
list effectively they're not actually
able to start buying advertising and
kind of scaling what they're doing and
the reason is because they're trying to
understand all the pieces to the puzzle
before they even get started so what I
did is I kind of broke down some of the
funnels that I've been talking about
here specifically if you look in the
funnel playlist and I was like look you
just got to get started you get going so
you have an opt-in page that's followed
by a sales presentation and you email
them the thing that you give them and
people like wow that sounds so simple
but don't you need a one-click upsell
afterwards don't you need a Down sell
don't you need it this don't we need a
segment our list about this and that and
it's like all of that can indeed add
value to your funnel and all of that can
help you kind of optimized and refine
your funnel but ultimately you just got
to get started and then once you're
started you can begin to iterate your
funnel you can test new things you can
try different funnels you can test
different offers within your funnel and
that's really how you get yourself to a
point where your funnel is profitable
and you're bringing in money and you're
bringing in leeds and your cash flow
positive that's what a business is right
your cash flow positive you're buying
advertisements you're generating leads
and you're generating customers but
they're so frozen that they haven't even
really started to even begin the process
because they're trying to understand the
entire like what is all possible and
they need to know all of the different
tools this that and the other so if
you're working on building a funnel if
you're working on getting your business
going no that and give yourself
permission not even know that but give
yourself permission to just get started
get your first opt-in page up and get
that followed up by an offer it could be
a bridge page that takes them to an
affiliate product that's very relevant
oh
or it could be a sales page that's shown
immediately after they opt-in but either
way you need to have them opt-in so you
get their email address on your list and
then receive an offer whether it's for
your product or for an affiliate product
once you have that start running traffic
test your copy on the sales page test
your copy on the landing page test your
copy on the ad get some data behind what
you're doing see if that simple funnel
works if you work but you're not making
enough money and you're losing a little
bit of money then you can stack another
offer after like a one-click upsell
offer and again I'm I cover all of this
in the funnels playlist and i'll be sure
to link you to the funnel playlist here
and below the video in the notes but
really that's the core of what i taught
this table you know i was at the table
just just giving them myself and really
just drawing out the just terrible
chicken scratch doodles of do you have
this set up yet no well i thought i
needed to go and get this and then that
and then this it's like all you need to
do to get started is a squeeze page an
opt-in page squeeze page followed up by
an offer that's it get started with that
run some traffic see what happens and
then iterate and if you need to make
more money on your funnel in the back
end you can add on another product on
the back end if your funnels if you're
not creating enough revenue on your
sales copy and you're getting a half
percent conversion rate on your sales
copy work on your sales copy you'll find
what the kind of weakest point is in
your link once you get it out and
launched you're never going to launch it
perfect ever ever ever ever so the trick
is to get started get going and then
iterate look at the data find out what
the weak point isn't your funnel fix
that and move on to the next and maybe
add some components maybe change the
wording on some things maybe test
totally different offers but nothing
happens until you get started so if

create your funnel iterate your funnel
work with it it's not going to be
perfect ever and you're always going to
be making it better my funnels better
today than it was two months ago and
it's better than it was six months ago
and a year ago and two years ago etc
it's a constant evolution and you need
to just engage and get started all right
