Hello,
Prior to dealing with Fabian & James in executive relations I would give a 1.
However since then my issues have resolved and very professionally.
The reason I give 4 not a 5 is believe BT need to improve on communication with front line staff without having to be escalated to executive team.
Things become unnecessarily difficult to get issues resolved through normal channel creating a stressful experience.
Also, I think BT customers would benefit from different hardware or having there own boxes. Maybe something similar to virgin (but without virgin poor service).
I also think a some sort of user & tech setup install would be a good idea as a lot of things are often looked and not known about.What has happened to you Bt !??

We’ve been left in the dark for 3 weeks!

I have suffered using BT Broadband for a couple of years now and have finally given up on them. I work from home as a computer programmer so a good internet connection is essential to my livelihood.
I was signed up for there 100Mb/s+ service, which gave a minimum guarantee of 26Mb/s minimum. They have failed consistently to provide this. My usual rate was 17Mb/s until I complained when it would go up to the minimum for a few weeks before dropping back down, until I once again complained. In the end I got sick of the merrygoround and just lived with it until it dropped to 14Mb/s.
I once again complained at which point they claimed it was a fault in my address (which I assured them it wasn't) so they sent out 3rd party engineers to reinstall my input connection and router. Suprise suprise it didn't fix it.
They then notified BT who sent out one of their engineers, he ran some tests, said there was a problem in their network - he'd put in a request for some fixes and it should be sorted in an hour or so and left.
That didn't resolve it.
I went back onto their (terrible) website to raise another issue but it wouldn't let me - told me that the fault was fixed.
I phoned their helpline and got some guy in India, who claimed the terrible speeds I was seeing was due to devices in my network even though they weren't on (i.e. mobile phones) and the data rates were exactly the same as seen by 2 sets of engineers they'd sent.
I gave up, made a complaint and decided to take my business elsewhere and closed my account (though it still has to run the existing month).
A week later it seems someone picked up the complaint, I started getting texts and missed calls from their call centre in India.
One text informed me "I've run some tests and found that the issue is with your router, we're sending you a new one".
But it's been in a box ready to ship back to them for the best part of a week, how could they do this unless they have some fancy unheard of technology that can connect to their routers when they have no input or power?

This is what BT has done to me. I am 75 and run a small business which takes up about 2 hours a week. I suppose as long as BT has existed I have been a customer. I do not send out bulk emails and maybe send out ten emails a week. I have email addresses which are related to a domain name and which forward to BT. I get a few spam emails a day which I do not see because they go into my junk box. I noticed I was not getting some emails relating to bills etc. I asked my internet hosting provider why my emails were not being forwarded. They had advised me that BT had blacked me as a spam forwarder. I have never forwarded a spam email in my life. I can no longer communicate with my customers and bills have not arrived. BT NEVER NOTIFIED ME OF THIS THEY JUST DID IT. I suffer from an incurable condition and I suffered a seizure basically after the contempt I was treated with when I tried to sort out the matter with them. I CANNOT BELIEVE ANY GROUP OF PEOPLE LET ALONE EMPLOYEES OF A MAJOR COMPANY CAN SPEAK TO AND DEAL WITH PEOPLE IN THE WAY THEY HAVE WITH ME.AdvertisementAbsolute disgrace
BT is probably the worse organisation that provides public service. Unable to fix my landline fault and then the engineer didn't make it on the scheduled day.To top it all complaints officer ( Mik??) had appalling manners and called me liar and laughed when i talked about how important my telephone landline is to my job.

BT is the worst company I have met so far. I have been with BT since January and since the begining, I have told to BT to make sure if they can provide the service they were offering because I would need it. They kept saying that absolutely they could provide me and guarantee me a specific speed. Well, since January I complained as they never ever provided me with that speed that they said they would and that I was paying for. I spent so many hours to try to help them in solving the problems and having engineerings in and out, for absolutely nothing! Plus, they kept saying they would call me and they would not. I normally do not write reviews but this I really had.
