so if you've been living under a rock
for the past like four years and you've
never heard of five-minute crafts
essentially what they do is they show
you life hacks that make your life
easier like this one for example where
you know there's this nice-looking woman
with her teal donut shirt and her
scissors you know she needs to reach
something obviously and she's has
there's tools here and instead of you
know moving the stools she tapes the
stools to her feet but you know
obviously this is is helpful for people
who you know have to constantly reach
high things and you know they can't be
bothered to you know move the stools
over and over again and so you're like
Frick it I'll literally just spend 30
minutes taping the stools to my feet
boom light packed logic baby learn about
8:00 so there's this little channel by
the name of five minute crafts which has
an absolutely mind-boggling 60 3.3
million subscribers and they've gotten
almost a million new subscribers in just
the past month alone so I thought you
know this is a business channel why not
break down exactly how much money
five-minute crafts is actually earning
with their YouTube channel watch out tea
series five minute crafts gained almost
a million subscribers in the past month
so they might be life hacking their way
to the top and basically what five
minute crash does is embody everything
that's wrong with YouTube and bundle it
all up into a nice little five minute
package regardless of what anyone thinks
about five minute crafts they're making
and speaking of making money shout out
to my boy right here for being our $108
winner every single video that we put
out whoever comments first on that video
wins 100 bucks so it's pretty cool if
you want to be our next winner all you
got to do is subscribe turn on the bells
so that you will be notified when we
drop a brand new video basically they
have absurdly click baby thumbnails like
probably the most clickbait thumbnails
anywhere on youtube and a bunch of you
know recycled repackage reuse content
for life accent you can see some of
their thumbnails right here like erasing
a shattered phone with an eraser which
is you know just mind-boggling you can
see this cylinder of hard-boiled eggs
notice which is a straight life hack you
can see you know lighting these straws
on fire life hacked or you know in that
scenario when you need to pour ketchup
or nail polish or whatever this
is you know into condoms boom you got a
life hack honestly I'm very interested
by these thumbnails I think it's just
human nature like I want to know what
they could possibly be talking about
with this cylinder of hard-boiled eggs
or you know pouring this mystery red
liquid into a condom like what could the
utility be I just don't get it and
that's when I realize you know they got
me with their thumbnails it's like I
want to click and figure out what the
heck could this possibly be talking
about but most of these things that they
actually do talk about if you literally
would never use in a million years he
was kind of saying mmm yeah that's kind
of interesting yeah I'm not gonna use it
like of course you know it's way more
inconvenient to use that lifehack than
actually just doing it like a normal way
like a normal person would do it it's
kind of like when a joke is funny but
it's not actually funny enough to last
you just kind of like exhale out of your
nostril very softly you know kind of
like and what I'm learning is what life
hack actually means is definitely how
what they think life AK means I mean
logically a life hack would be something
that actually saves you time and it's
actually like useful in any sort of real
world scenario kind of like this one
when you know you find yourself with a
mechanical pencil and a single piece of
lead and you know a D battery and you
have a match and you need to light the
match right you're in a situation or you
have a match you need to light it you
don't have a match box now you don't
have any rocks or you know hard material
that you can strike the match on but you
do have a D battery and a mechanical
pencil and a single piece of untainted
mechanical pencil lead there you're
gonna put on the T pottery and then use
to light the match like fine but you
really can't explain five-minute crafts
tremendous success by really mastering
the YouTube demographic people want
simple easy to watch moderately
interesting content that's all bundled
up into a nice little five-minute
package with some easy to listen to
music and if you really look deeper into
a lot of the videos on their channel
most of the videos are in vertical or
square format meaning that they're kind
of just ripping these from lots of
different Facebook and Instagram videos
and you know repurposing them for
YouTube when you look deeper they really
are the masters of content and
distribution on Facebook they have over
60 million followers as well which is
obviously insane but they truly are the
masters at redistributing content they
make content one place they mix it and
mash
shit with a different title different
order different music different
compilation and then they release it on
Instagram they release it on Facebook
they release it on YouTube they release
it everywhere because they really
understand that people have their own
platforms that they like some people
only use Facebook some people only watch
YouTube they even listen to their
podcasts on YouTube and you know five
minute crafts has understood and
mastered this content redistribution
model that has become popularized in the
marketing space by people like Gary Vee
but you know honestly sometimes their
life hacks are pretty freaking great
like this one when you know you want to
for some reason use a condom outside of
the bedroom and you know you have an
iPhone but you're not able to afford you
know a $4 or $5 case but you know you do
have a condom and so you're like oh you
know I don't have a case why not just
use a condom for the case it's perfectly
logical like but with over 330 million
views just in the last 28 days alone on
their main channel the real life hack
here is the amount of money that this
channel is literally printing because
they don't just have their main channel
they also have life hacks for kids life
hacks for girls life hacks for boys life
hacks for men my fast for dogs life
hacks for aliens and even if they had
the absolute most conservative possible
estimate of what their CPM is which is
how much they earn for a million views
that would mean the absolute minimum
that this channel was making would be
three hundred and thirty thousand
dollars a month just for their main
channel but that's very unrealistic that
they have a $1 CPM they probably have a
CPM closer to two or three and they're
most viewed video has over two hundred
and seventy five million views which is
insane and it says that it teaches you
42 Holy Grail hacks that will save you a
fortune and I like money and of course
there's the saying you know a penny
saved is a penny earned and I want to
make a fortune 5-minute craft so let's
make me rich all right five-minute
crafts how can I get rich is a good
first one alright so this is a water
bottle or something it looks like
they're cutting it which is you know
obviously a life hack let's see what
they're actually gonna do with this
though all right we got half a water
bottle now we're gonna cut a little what
is this a hole in the top or the bottom
and then we're gonna put it on our sink
to hold ours what what is this how am I
getting rid from this all right what's
the next one let's see if I can get rich
on this one so what we have here we have
a coca-cola bottle all right I like this
one so far all right we dumped out the
coca-cola and now it looks like we're
filling it with some type of pink liquid
I think it is probably so that we just
dumped out of a soap bottle all right
now we're gonna put this soap cap on the
coca-cola instead of just using the soap
bottle why don't you just leave the soap
in the soap bottle is this just too big
brain for me do I just not get it I
don't understand why you'd waste a
perfectly good coke and a perfectly good
soap cut off just to make a coca-cola
soap bottle all right what do we have
next this one looks pretty promising
says five minutes crafts for kids kids
because a grown woman she has a plastic
bag here's a plastic bag that she has
her backpack
I don't like gosh five-minute crafts
this is if this were kids you want the
fastest number one expert get your kid
bullied immediately you do exactly this
and give them a plastic bag as their
backpack all right next we have a big
pink plastic bag with a bunch of other
plastic bags inside of it this isn't
even a life hack this is like what I
used to do with my dogs poop bags
all right she's tying it up just putting
it in a piece of cloth is that a kind of
pillowcase is it oh it's a pillowcase so
she has a plastic bag pillow for when
you're at absolute rock bottom but you
know you still need a pillow and you got
some plastic bag just you know pretty
genius who needs to you know go waste
all of those $20 on pillow when you
could just make a pillow out of plastic
bag all right so let's actually talk
about how they're making such an
unbelievable amount of money and I did a
little bit of research into five-minute
crafts it turns out they're owned by a
company called the sole publishing
company based out of Cyprus and they
actually owned a couple other very
popular YouTube channels like you know
bright side and a bunch of other
different channels that they list on
their site and they actually have over a
thousand employees which is pretty crazy
to me but I guess when you're cranking
out life hacks literally at the speed of
light you gotta have to have to support
it right but
over 330 million views on just their
main five-minute crash channel just in
the last month and the reason that I
think their CPM is a little bit higher
than some other channels because you
know it's very family-friendly content
and their content is applicable to
adults you know more so than kids
because kids don't really care about
life hacks they're trying to like finger
pain or you know do what kids do but
what that means is companies like
Procter & Gamble and these big
billion-dollar companies are willing to
pay more to show ads to their target
market on five minute crash Channel and
so making $3,000 every million views and
you know over three hundred and thirty
million views just in the last 28 days
alone means that they have probably made
over a million dollars just in the past
month just from the ad revenue on just
one of their channels and that doesn't
factor in things like brand deals which
they're definitely doing I don't know
how many brand deals they're doing
because I don't watch every single video
all right maybe I do watch every single
video but you know if they're doing
super heavy brand deals that could be
another you know 500,000 or even more
depending on who they're doing the brand
deals with every single month and when
you factor in the fact that they have
all these other channels that are also
getting millions of views it's just a
pretty mind-boggling amount of money
that the sole publishing company and
five-minute crafts is actually making
every single month if you like this
video and you want more like it here's a
playlist of awesome videos that you
should click right now click it come on
click it do it click the playlist okay
you don't have to but I promise you'll
like it click the playlist see you soon
