biggest impact on affiliate marketing in
2018 the first thing is quality back in
the day when I was starting out with
affiliate marketing quality was actually
a secondary attribute to be successful
with affiliate marketing you were able
to rank your website's within days with
span articles with really low quality of
articles just stuffing with keywords and
stuffing with links to the product that
you're promoting the news automation
software to build like countless amount
of backlinks so that your website would
shoot to the moon to the top 10 results
of Google and you would get a huge
amount of traffic - very competitive
keywords and you were able to bank like
like crazy unfortunately I was just
starting out and for me everything was
wild everything was like so unknown and
so you know so new I I you know I was
just like trying to understand how to
make money like just the basics how like
where money online coming from and how
to generate at least like one dollar
online so for me any kind of bots or
automation software's it was something
so unfamiliar that like you know high it
was like basically like coding for me if
I could apply knowledge that I have now
back like I don't know like even five
years ago it would be completely the
picture and yeah everything was was
different because if you could make a
huge amount of money with automation
software's and like bolts and like all
that with low quality of content low
quality of backlinks and all that can
you imagine how much money you could
have made with high quality of content
and high quality of links and high
quality of you know just delivering
quality and value to your audience so
with time all the major platforms like
Google Facebook Instagram YouTube
getting better and better in identifying
low quality content and automation
software's all the boating and you know
all the means that spammers are using so
these days the defining factor to
succeed online is quality its quality of
content that you're delivering the value
that you're providing to your audience
and before thinking about selling
something to your audience think about
the quality of content of the value that
you can share you can deliver to your
audience and this applies to pretty much
any platform like Google in Google
search you have to build for example
back in the day you were able to rank
your website with short articles about
only 300 words we spun article articles
or like a really low quality content but
these days you have to write at least
2,000 words articles with a lot of
pictures videos infographics and
well-written articles with facts and
maybe even tables if applies and and so
on so forth the more thorough the better
quality you provide information you
provide the higher chance to rank well
in Google you will have the same comes
with YouTube videos on YouTube Facebook
posts on Facebook and so on so the
better quality your content is the best
chances to reach that top in search
results
and reach out to your potential audience
the second is videos as you probably
noticed videos become bigger and bigger
part of our lives and they also get
integrated in pretty much all the
platforms of social social media not
only YouTube that is originally was
meant to be a social platform for you or
for videos but also on Facebook Facebook
live videos Facebook native videos
Facebook even was talking about
introducing a monetization system
somewhat similar to YouTube ones I'm not
sure how soon it will be released but
they were talking about it
that means that Facebook plans to give a
bigger significance bigger part to
videos on their platform you can see it
already by the fact how they increase
the reach to the videos when you upload
native videos to facebook also Instagram
a few months ago Instagram didn't have
an option to upload any kind of videos
only pictures the platform was
originally created to upload pictures
and create let's say albums or
portfolios of your life or like whatever
pictures you are taking and would like
to share with your audience and
followers but these days there are even
some channels that upload exclusively
videos now these videos are limited to
only one minute but who knows maybe they
will increase the time of the videos on
Instagram to even ten minutes or even
more you never know what kind of changes
they will decide to introduce to their
platform the importance of the videos in
affiliate marketing in 2018 is also
defined by the technological progress
and more in more countries especially
developing countries getting better
access to higher speed internet as well
as mobile internet is getting better
faster and more accessible all this
means that the amount of people and the
amount of time watched videos online
will only grow it is also a matter of
preference there are people who like
reading instead of watching video
or listening to the podcasts there are
people who like listen to the podcasts
for example and there are people who
prefer consume information from the
readers so the ideal scenario is to
record video than to publish post about
the same like on the same topic that you
publish the video and then extract audio
file from that video and upload to a
podcasting platform this way you will
reach out your potential audience
through three major channels on the
Internet other than that there are not
many changes in affiliate marketing
in 2018 so in conclusion you have to
consider two major things think about
the quality about delivering value to
your audience before thinking about
selling as soon as you start delivering
that value that your audience is looking
for your sales will start coming in by
themselves as a result and the second
don't neglect videos you can start with
website is way easier to write articles
for the majority of people you don't
have to be in front of the camera to
start a blog and write articles but
think about creating a YouTube channel
and start uploading videos you don't
necessarily have to show your face if
you don't feel comfortable about it
there are multiple channels who have
hundreds of thousands of followers
without showing their face at single
