How to Create a Newsletter - Step-by-Step [Tutorial]



in this video I will show you
step-by-step how we can create a
newsletter or a broadcast to contact
your email subscribers hi guys my name
is Alex and welcome to my channel my
name is also why share tips on how to
succeed online in this video I will show
you step by step how you can create a
simple news that email or a broadcast
depending on your autoresponder it can
be called differently so that you were
able to contact your email subscribers
your email list so without further ado
let's jump right to it

email subscribers you can create this
kind of newsletter and send them out to
all your email subscribers or to only
some of them so what you should do this
is the dashboard I have my dashboard
this way so your textbook can look just

from the main menu on top you choose
email marketing from this very window
all you have to do is click create
newsletter right here I recommend you to
always go with drag and drop email
editor right here you choose from the
drop-down menu if you have multiple
lists the linked list it doesn't really
matter which one is linked list because

right here there are various steps of of
this whole process and when we will be
choosing recipients right here you will
see
there we will be able to choose more
lists for example if you want to send
one newsletter to our multiple lists
that you have you can choose just one

then you can add the rest of the lists
on the forth step one we will be
choosing recipients message name in this
case let's just let people just test and
subject test as well so message name is
basically the name of the message for
you just as your reference if you want
to either put numbers for your
newsletters or dates just to like for
easier identification in the newsletter
letters later on after sending in the
history of newsletters then you can come
up with some kind of like system how you
want to name your newsletters
I personally pretty much always put
message name the same as subject name so
I think of the subject put the subject
and the subject is basically the thing
that your recipients your email
subscribers will see in their subject of
their inbox it's very very important
while we are here let me just tell you a
couple of things about the subject so
when you're thinking about the subject
and you have to think about the subject
as some kind of copywriters are saying
that you have to spend ten percent of
your time on creating a letter or a copy
and you have to spend 90 percent of your
time on creating the subject why because
subject is defining moment for two
reasons the first reason it's defining
element of your whole emails marketing
whether or not your email will arrive to
the inbox or it will arrive to their
spam folder so if you put into subject
line some kind of forbidden words kind
of spam alert words like money for
example curious fact by the way my
name is money is awesome my website name
is money's awesome calm and I never ever
can put money into subject line yeah so
that's a ridiculous situation but every
single time when I put money is awesome
for example into a subject line it
arrives to spam folder right away to the
majority of all the subscribers if you
want to know what kind of words
increases the kind of spam alert you
better Google it you know email
marketing spam words or something like
that make your research and make sure
that you keep it clean keep it natural
you can put like that you can put
something into the brackets for example
or into these brackets you know you can
like for example if this video
sometimes I'm sending a video like and
you upload and letting my email
subscribers know that I have just
uploaded new video I can put like that
or I can put for example this video at
the beginning and you know it's totally
up to you how you can name it just pay
attention to what you're receiving into

subject lines just test your various
subject lines and you will see what
works for your audience and what works
for you the best and then you will you
know with experience you will get better
at that so after I create subject line I
just copy this one and paste into
message name because I don't send out
that many emails and I generally
remember what was in that particular
email as you can see right here there is
personalized if you for example you can
put let me tell you this comma and then
personalize and put for example first
name and then instead of first name if
you are collecting first name as kind of
mandatory to fill out field on your
opt-in form then you can use first name
or a name name it will be both first
name and last name so if you are
collecting first names then yes then you
can use first and if you don't collect
first names then don't put personalized
I collect first names so sometimes you
receive something like my emails with
these kind of your first name for
example let me tell you this comma Alex
if your name is Alex you will receive
like that not if your name is Alex if
you put your name when you were signing
up to my email list if you put your name
as Alex then I will call the Alex
although all the time even if your name
is Matthew but you put your name is Alex
when you were filling out when you were
signing up to my email list I will be
calling you as Alex so take care with
that and it's better to always put the
name that you like to be called when
you're signing up to a somebody's email
lists so right here you're choosing an
email from which you will be sending out
this particularly newsletter if you have
for example I have my branded email Alex
at money's awesome calm
if I have for example I don't know a B
for example Alex battle at money's
awesome calm then I can choose another
one a B at - awesome calm it's it
doesn't matter it the email that your
recipients will see when you will be
sending out of the emails and when they
will be replying to your email you will
receive the emails to this exact email
then there is distribution settings
click through it's on by default I
recommend you to keep it on all the time
Google Analytics if you have not
connected good Google Analytics to your
get response account then it doesn't
really matter he and a B test if you
want to do a/b testing then please do so
I don't do that and then you can add
Twitter button or Facebook button so
that people were able to share your
newsletter in these social networks
after that what we are doing we are
clicking next step button and we are
arriving to the templates so as you can

templates that we can use and then you

that you never touch I don't recommend
you to do that if you want to send out
fancy emails please do so but I don't
recommend you doing so why because it
will complicate the deliverability it
will reduce the deliverability and it
will complicate the like the life of
your recipients because it will take
time to download your images of these
fancy emails and it actually distracts
your email subscribers from the point of
your messages because we are not sending
out fancy emails we are sending out
information and information has to be
valuable by itself it doesn't matter how
it looks your email is the value we
don't need any of these pictures so
instead of choosing any of these emails
even though they're beautiful and fancy
we're just going to
templates and as you can see I have
already two emails created as templates
originally when I just started using my
get response account none of this was
present right here all these templates
were saved after I created my emails so
instead of using any of these that I
already created let's start from scratch
so your page will be blank right here if

click start from scratch and let's go

smaller maybe two smaller and see
yourself whatever you feel like

possible for your readers then increase
the line space at least two three three
is the perfect line space you can go for
two it's also acceptable but one is kind
of too compact then background no web

to personalize your email for example hi
first name or your subscriber then you
can choose first name and your email

your newsletter email list automatically
and they will receive the email with
their name right here after you finish

options here on top and what I recommend
you to do is send tech test message when
you click send test message message you
can choose the email where to send the
test message I recommend you to send
your test message to a couple of emails
to let's say your private one and to
Gmail for example to some kind of like
public email so that you make sure that
it arrives to the inbox not to the spam
folder so after you've done that after
you created your first newsletter you
can go right here and choose save as
template from now on you will have these
very email as your template and you will
be able to go to my templates and choose
this email and it will be pre-loaded for
you to use so you can just delete
everything that is written there and
just you know use it as a blank template
to write a new email the settings like
for example text font and size and line
spacing will stay the same as it was
saved as a template another thing if you
have for example if you want to think
about your email and you haven't
finished just want to continue later
just click save as draft and get back to
drafts later on after you finish here
click next step
and on this step that is called
recipients we can choose recipients so
generally you can choose just the email
list that the one the email is that you
want to send your this newsletter to
what is custom filters custom filters
for example you can go to your contact
lists and you know filter out all the
contacts that you have in your all the
lists or in some particular lists and
you can for example filter out only
those subscribers who opened your
autoresponder number 3 or only those
that opened your previous newsletter or
those who clicked a certain link in a
certain email or those who subscribe to
your email list before or after certain
date there are a lot of filters in in
get response and I use constantly so
you're choosing your list for example
you can send just this email list and
say to that email list and the seat
right here you will see the final amount
of your contacts after that you click
next step and right here right here you
have a couple more options so you will
see a message subject line you will see
the template you will see your spam
score and you will see recipients how
many people in the end will receive this
email and there is additional function
perfect timing for example if you are
sending without a perfect timing on like
when perfect timing off as it is right
now
then this newsletter will arrive to all
the recipients right away then you can
schedule your newsletter and then you
click send and right here before it
actually will send it will give you 90
seconds to cancel the sending that's why
I click the sending so right in this
moment I'm not going to send my test
message to my subscribers because it's
like with no value and I don't want to
send empty messages so I cancel sending
so this is it
