hey this is Ryan Hildreth and in today's
video I'm talking about how you can gain
subscribers fast for your own YouTube
channel so I'm going to talk about how
exactly I was able to go from 36
subscribers which was just my friends
and family to over 2,000 within a week
and then once I had that exponential
growth my youtube channel just took off
okay so that's kind of what I want to
share with you today
but first I want to show you my new
whiteboard look at this thing 60 inches
I'm going to put it up on the wall and
then my office will be officially done
it got my calendar right there if you
don't have a calendar get one okay you
should know exactly what you're doing
tomorrow my desk a little messy and then
that's pretty much it but let's go ahead
when I first started out I absolutely
did not know what I was doing okay
I didn't understand the YouTube
algorithm I didn't understand all the
technical stuff which is a crucial
portion of growing your YouTube channel
right but I would say it's about 20%
okay the bulk of it is gonna be the 80%
and what that is is your intentions
behind creating a YouTube channel you
have to ask yourself why are you
creating one if you currently have one
and you just you know you're not seeing
that growth why do you continue to make
youtube videos is it for money because
if it is YouTube is not the place for
you YouTube there is no money in YouTube
ad revenue now if you're building a
business and you use YouTube to market
your business then obviously there's
money involved in that but you know the
initial I think the initial reason why
you should create a YouTube channel
should be like you have some valuable
information that you want to put out
there right you want people to see it
because you believe it's valuable and
hopefully you can inspire you know one
person or more thousands of people to
take that valuable information and apply
it and then maybe later on you have a
you build a premium product around that
information that you can sell right but
when I first got started out money was
not
that was not my intention okay like I I
was just freely uploading at least one
video week and this was back in November
2016 I don't consider that when I first
started my channel because I wasn't
consistent at all I would make like one
YouTube video every week or every other
week so I wasn't very consistent now if
you're you know trying to grow your
YouTube channel fast you need to be
uploading at least four times a week
minimum because there's so much there's
so many new creators coming into the
space that YouTube is not promoting you
know new channels it's a lot harder to
gain that momentum but when I first
started out I was creating videos but I
wasn't I was titling them with just
clickbait titles like you know whatever
just clickbait titles that didn't have
anything to do with anything
right and that was a problem because
YouTube YouTube if you don't have
subscribers it doesn't matter if you
have a clickbait title because when you
have clickbait titles that's for YouTube
creators that millions or thousands of
subscribers because it will get their
current subscribers to click on the
video but when you're first starting out
you have to have titles that people are
actually searching for and that's how
you gain momentum so like some titles
that I did for my videos like how to
start a social media marketing agency
there was a lot of people at the time
currently searching for those exact
words and I was able to rank my video on
the first page now in order to do that
it's helpful to put that how if you're
if your videos about how to start a
social media marketing agency or how to
start a business an online business that
title should be in your thumbnail it
should be in your title it should be in
your description it should be in your
keywords it pretty much be everywhere so
that the YouTube algorithm knows that
okay this video relates to how to start
an online business right so you can rank
it on the first page and I think that
was my biggest issue at first because I
didn't know what I was doing I was
making investing videos but I was
titling them just clickbait titles and I
didn't really understand
the YouTube algorithm right now if
you're doing if you're making videos to
get more likes and comments and you know
subscribers just for the sole purpose of
that that is gonna be an issue as well
because you're when you you know put in
all this effort you're making like five
six seven videos a week maybe you're
doing daily uploads and you're not
growing you're gonna get burnt out
because you're you know your source of
like motivation is to get more likes
thumbs ups and subscribers and comments
right but when you're not getting those
that that validation isn't being
fulfilled right so you have to always
remember the why of why you started the
channel if it's to help at least one
person inspire them to do something
great or make them laugh or you know
make them smile in some sort of way or
bring some value to their life I think
that is a bigger why and that will keep
you going for the long run okay you know
even this if this video only got one
view at least hopefully one person could
gain some value from it so you know I
like to go back to that because I think
that applies to everything in business
like when you first start a business and
online business and you aren't seeing
the financial results right you aren't
seeing that quick that quick cash coming
in you might give up you might get bored
and tired of it and give up because your
initial reason for starting that
business was just to make money but if
you actually enjoy some of it right
maybe it's 50/50 like like you want to
make good money doing it but you also
enjoy doing it it's a lot easier to
sustain for the long run okay and that's
why I love YouTube that's why I love
building online education businesses
that's why I love you know doing
multiple things online affiliate
marketing is great because I know that I
enjoy it and you know running Facebook
Ads sometimes like my Facebook ads
aren't profitable sometimes I end more
on my facebook ads than the affiliate
Commission's generate for me right but
you know when that happens I don't give
up I don't
just quit and say okay like I'm over it
I'm moving on to the next venture
because I actually enjoy it and I know
that eventually you know those Facebook
ads will start converting those
affiliate offers will start converting
so just like YouTube you have to be
super consistent you have to know that
YouTube's algorithm meaning you should
rank for search terms first and then
once you get subscribers
you know you rank several videos on you
know these key search terms that are
being searched every single day and
you're getting a few subscribers here
and there and then you know you start
building up momentum then you could
start throwing in a clickbait title here
and there right so another thing I just
started doing was getting my thumbnails
edited like professionally made okay you
can get these done for $5 on Fiverr it's
not you know it's nothing too expensive
and it's an investment in your business
in your YouTube channel so it's a
business write-off right even if you
don't have an LLC or something formed
like that you can go to your tax person
and say hey I'm a YouTube creator you
know I generate money from it whether
it's ad revenue or you sell a product
and you could say this is how much I
spent on my youtube channel for
freelancing services like getting my
thumbnails made right that is a business
expense so you know talk to your tax
person about that but getting your
thumbnails may professionally made is
another key factor because when people
are scrolling through you know the
little side feed like just suggested
videos your video might pop up in there
okay once you start getting some
traction your videos might pop up in
whatever niche you're in whether it's
business entrepreneurship whether it's
lifestyle vlog whether it's travel
whether it's Fitness right define that
niche that you're making videos in and
then you will rank for you know in the
suggested column but when you do have a
video in the suggested column you want
to make sure that your thumbnail is very
bright maybe you have have some bright
colors in there like pinks and yellows
and blues because that's gonna help you
you know get your video clicked on right
if you have a high click-through rate
you have a better chance of people
actually watching your video okay
because now in the Google Analytics the
dashboard you can see like the number of
impressions that's just people who saw
your thumbnail and then you can see the
click-through rate and then you could
see the watch time okay so you want to
try to get those numbers as high as
possible especially the click-through
rate and the only way to do that I mean
the best way to do that is with a great
thumbnail something super brighten you
know vibrant that kind of just stands
out so fiber is a great place to get
your thumbnails done for your YouTube
channel I'm trying to think of what else
really helped my propel my channel was
so ranking for search terms thumbnails
and then actually putting in the
keywords of your video like other
YouTube creators that you relate with
like your channel kind of talks about
the same subjects as the other channel
so if you're in fitness
maybe you rank for like Christian guzmán
or you know another fitness person like
that right but you you put that those
keywords in your videos every single
video you're gonna put like you know
Christian guzmán Matt olga's whatever it
may be in those keywords if you are in
that niche okay so again super easy to
do it does take time and consistency
like I'm not saying it's the easiest
thing in the world Tim it be a YouTube
creator and like gets thousands of
subscribers but if you're consistent and
you just enjoy the process it becomes an
easy thing like today like I'm just you
know kind of freestyling a video I knew
what I wanted to talk about I got my
thumbnail professionally made you know
is every video gonna be perfect know is
every video gonna get hundreds of
thousands of views definitely not but as
long as I enjoy making these videos as
long as I get you know maybe one person
that sees my videos like wow I'm gonna
apply this today these because look if
you're watching this video still like
obviously you gain value from it you're
like wow okay he's got some good points
here but if you don't apply what
saying in the next three hours you're
gonna forget about everything I just
said so hopefully you can apply what I
just said to your own youtube channel
right by ranking for key search terms
maybe popular search terms it doesn't
even have to be in your Miche like like
you can look at like Alex Becker for
instance he does these videos about Star
Wars but it's smart because he's ranking
for something that he's interested in
like you like Star Wars but he kind of
relates it back to business and
entrepreneurship in the middle of the
video okay so you can reach new
audiences by doing that like viral
content right kind of like on Instagram
but you kind of apply that same topic to
YouTube you do a viral video on
something that's trending today and then
relate it back to your niche you can
also do that as well and try that out
but again it's all words until you it's
all until it's all all words until you
apply it to your own YouTube channel so
hopefully again some value I know this
