I think I'm live and it's very
overexposed so let me just get this back
to normal here I don't know why it's so
overexposed like that my face is there

what's up Paul hey what's up man how you
doing let me just try to fix the light
here a little bit I don't know it's just
a little crazy there we go
doing a live video I was going to do
this well you know we're going to the
lake today so as I was gonna do this out
on the lake but I didn't know if we
would have really good internet internet
connection out there so I decided to
just go ahead and record this now while
I'm still in my home office here but so
who's out there today
who's out there I want to talk about
making money while you sleep which I
think personally it should be
everybody's goal right because it sounds
good doesn't it you know I was talking
to my son yesterday all right yeah
yesterday he's 15 years old
and he's just like you know dad you know
you're showing everybody how to make
money online you know I'm gonna have
some time this summer you know what what
can I do right and and I told him I said
you know okay well there's two ways to
make money right let's just keep it
simple you can trade time for money or
you can make passive income all right
and he knows a lot of the guys out there
on YouTube because he watches YouTube a
lot you know he sees like ty Lopez and
Grant Cardone and and you know a lot of
these guys that you know show all their
nice cars and planes and things
that so I tell them I said these guys
are doing passive income and do you want
to you want to work a job where you
trade time for money or do you want to
do you want to just you know be able to
print money basically whatever you want
you want to be able to just make money
when you don't even have to be in the
office you can be out and about in a way
you know which one sounds good to you
well he was just like well I want to
make some passive income right yeah that
sounds much better than going up and
waking up to a job or doing in life
maybe some client work where if you want
to get paid you actually have to go out
and you know have a client you have to
do some work and get paid for your time
and then in exchange for that the client
will pay you so what sounds better to
you right he's just like yeah passive
income that sounds good I want to be
able to print money right okay
well then I told them that well when you
trade time for money the money is is
get a job or something like that and so
you get a job well you're pretty much
guaranteed a paycheck even some jobs
trained or they pay you you know they
pay for training and so you're still
guaranteed even that first week that you
work you know that check is coming right
well so that sounds good it's guaranteed
right because we're all brought up to
you know for the survival type thing and
I'll get to that in just a moment but
when it comes to passive income let me
tell you if you want to be able to make
money when you want and make money while
you sleep you were gonna have to work
this could take months we're talking it
could take you six eight twelve months
of doing all this work without seeing
any money okay and because it's not
guaranteed
now which one sounds better okay so most
people would go back to trading time for
money okay that sounds much better right
because it's guaranteed we'll see that
when it comes to things that are
guaranteed guys it's it's not always the
best choice right because I believe that
I think that you should bet on your own
ability and that you know you should you
should do things where where it's kind
of like delayed gratification where you
kind of you work now play later reap the
benefits of all the time and effort that
you put in right now and so so this is
what I want to talk about because
everybody wants to you know they want to
have financial freedom they do they
don't want to work a whole lot and and I
understand that because you know I came
onto the web about I could I keep on the
web about in the late 90s and I did this
by accident
but I started as a graphic graphics
designer so I did this work right and
then but if I didn't have any work then
the money would stop okay so during that
time I started creating tutorials
showing other people how to do graphics
and then I came out with a product and
that product as long as I produce the
content and showed people how to create
graphics on my website I kept generating
traffic and I kept generating sales for
that little product that I had it was a
little CD and it showed people how to
generate more advanced graphics so I
could just do whatever I want as long as
I created the content you see what I'm
talking about so so and of course I'm
talking about the internet here okay and
how how powerful it is so I want to talk
about how you guys can make money on
YouTube how you can make money blogging
but here's a question that I want to ask
you okay so let me know it
below if you have the answer to this you
might have to think about this a little
bit but it's a very important question
you need to ask yourself and that is are
you a writer
are you a speaker or are you a performer
okay you know performer which one are
you comment give me a comment below
which one are which one you think you
are maybe you have to think about a
little bit because you know we're not
really brought up like this to you know
really you know we're not asked this
question and and I think most people can
fit into those three categories okay
so for me I'm definitely not a writer so
what you guys can do is just cut out the
ones and a good way to know this is to
figure out you know what do you what do
you procrastinate with the most okay so
what do you put off doing am i am i a
little my too close there you'll sit
back a little bit so what do you put off
doing what what's kind of like a drag
that's something you forget about doing
for me I know that you know when it
comes to my blog I don't get that
excited about working on my blog okay I
know I should do it but and I know it's
going to be great just to have some
content but it's easy for me to just
kind of go throughout the day and then
later in the day I'm like oh I got to do
a blog post but when it comes to video I
get a little more pumped up with that I
don't know what it is I so I would say
I'm a speaker but I probably more of a
speaker than I am a performer because I
do like to perform I did some dancing
years ago and stuff like that but but
yeah so try to figure out like what is
that strength that you have where do you
really shine and ask other people or
what have other people said about you
maybe they have you know they've said
you know what you
got it you are really good at doing this
you should be this yeah Paul he says he
hates writing blog posts as well right
on man because it just it's one of those
things you know you should do it you
should have a blog first of all it's
even hard writing a an about page about
yourself it's a little bit tough I know
it takes me a long time but anyway so so
yeah so try to figure that out because
that's your strength because when times
are hard when when things are slow and
you don't feel like making a video or a
blog post or you don't feel like
performing that day it's you know and if
that's not your strength okay any any
rational person or whatever I mean
they're just not going to do it they're
gonna quit if you find it to be such a
chore for you to do something where you
just like oh man I gotta create a video
today oh man if it's like that then you
guys you're probably not on the right
track but if you get pumped up you're
like yeah I'm gonna pick up the camera
we're into a video alright yo what's up
you know if you get if it energizes you
like that then you're probably on the
right path right if you want to move
your body and and just do something to
to express your talent or or you know
you just have that energy where you want
to communicate through your performance
of whatever that is maybe you know
you're right bites your skateboard or
maybe you like to do like you know
somersaults or or flip over backwards on
a you know why you're snow skiing or
something like that you're just obsessed
with that you're like a big snowboarder
or whatever I'm up here in Oregon so we
have a lot of snow and where that came
from but but yeah so that's one of the
most important things that's like the
core where it all begins because
everything after that is all about
persistence now I want to talk
where the hard work is because if you
say it's gonna be hard it's going to be
hard right well a lot of people think
that making the blog post and doing the
videos on YouTube that's the most
difficult thing and it's really not you
know what the hardest part is the
hardest part is being persistent and
doing it every single day okay so really
the hardest part the most difficult and
challenging part is the mindset because
because once this is right up here and
everything is good
then everything just seems to flow a
little bit better so and I think when a
lot of people when they start to do like
a new it new a new venture for first you
know starting a business they're
thinking about the actual work itself
but what really happens or what it
really is it's the perseverance so
despite the difficulty that comes in
front of you or the challenges you keep
moving forward okay you keep moving
forward no matter what and that's where
the work is guys okay so what you guys
so if that's the case because you know
what it takes 21 days to develop a habit
right and so if that's the case then
figure out what you want to do it could
be anything but understand whatever it
is you guys are gonna have to be
consistent with it and we're persistent
I mean there's perseverance persistent
consistent I mean as all the words kind
of made me the same thing okay so
whatever it's going to be you guys just
plan on having to do it all the time so
what do you want to do all the time and
then whatever that thing is keep doing
it and develop an audience stick with it
and develop followers now we're talking
about online everything on this channel
most most everything some stuff is
offline like delivering food and stuff
but it all comes back to the Internet so
so yeah so whatever that thing is you
guys just have to you know I mean I
would say you have to plan on doing it
all the time and so
and that's kind of a relief because then
it all comes down to being persistent
with whatever that thing is okay so I
mean what is it I mean you can pick
something you truly truly enjoy although
I wanted to give you guys another tip
and which whatever you get into just
make sure that it's it's a large enough
market to where you guys can scale it to
the freaking moon okay it needs to be a
big market because you know what for
many many years I scaled my graphics
business okay really high I mean I
scaled it way up there I'm at the top of
Google for the keywords that I want and
everything that's great but it was still
a small market okay
so what happens is is that if it's if
the market is too small then it kind of
limits you on the kind of income that
you guys can create for you and your
family right it kind of puts a
restriction there like almost like a
ceiling you hit that ceiling and you
can't go any further you saturated your
market there's not a large enough
audience or enough people out there that
want what you have or it's super
difficult to reach people or whatever it
is so yeah so anyway once you guys have
that all figured out
okay then you want to you create that
audience and then you want to get people
off your platform okay all right you
want to stir people away and you guys
want to start developing and creating a
a mailing list or a newsletter or some
type of database or because you want to
collect the the context for all these
people that are that are following you
okay and then by doing that you guys
have the option or the ability to reach
out and contact these people anytime
that you want to provide them value to
provide them with some you know helpful
information
and also to market to them okay so in
other words if you send out an email
blast to a lot of people you can send
out some value but you can also market
and you can promote your opportunity and
you can do that anytime that you want
okay
and so a lot of people don't do not
understand when you know I'll talk about
a youtuber on YouTube right now he's
doing what I'm doing well I'm doing what
he's doing pretty much and I'll tell
somebody else well um you know like you
know people are wondering why you know
mark why are you doing these YouTube
videos well because I understand how
profitable it is and I understand you
know the potential that it has
especially for the for the kind of
market that I'm in and I'll talk a
little bit about some other people and
the same market that I'm in and and you
know the kind of money and income that
they're making and they're just like
they don't understand how they are
making this money they don't understand
and so what you're doing YouTube videos
I don't get it how are you making money
well where's the traffic coming from
well I'm doing the YouTube videos okay
guys it's free traffic right and but the
reason a lot of people don't want to do
it is because you you have to do a lot
of work so a lot of people are out there
trying to avoid the work now I don't
want to get too far off this but so when
it comes to passive income compared to
trading time for money because that's
the difference between making money
while you sleep or making money
you know trading time for money and only
getting paid or they call it the time
and effort economy alright yeah things
are only good for the amount of time
that you put into it and so which one do
you guys want to do tell me what you
guys are going to do are you going to
trade time for money or are you going to

youtube channel I know it's a it's an
uphill climb to get there but but guys I
like to do it and I understand that in
order for me to get to where I want to
go and in in whatever that means the
quality of life you know the type of
income that I want to have I must put in
the work now because this is not trading
time for money here at all videos don't
even take that long to do I mean you can
make a video in about 15 minutes you can
edit it and have it rendered and
uploaded in 15 minutes so I'm not really
trading time for money but it's the
persistence and pursuit and perseverance
of of feeling like those days those days
when you you feel like you don't have
any results but you just keep going
forward anyway you just keep doing it
anyway that is going to get you guys
where you want to go okay so I'm try to
outline everything here I know I kind of
went a little bit longer on this video
that I planned gonna go to the lake
today with the family and so I didn't
know if I had internet connection out
there so I wanted to go ahead and make
this video now I hope the Lighting's
okay
I'm not a YouTube live Pro yet so I
don't know I this a lot of this is very
new to me I'm doing this on my iPhone
okay so figure out are you a writer
are you a speaker or are you a performer
you know do you like to ride bikes and
do races are you a runner or you like to
jump okay is that where you really shine
because some people they're not a writer
or a performer okay they're not or
they're not a writer or speaker they
don't like to speak they don't like to
write that seems boring to them they
would rather use their body in a way
where you know they could where they
feel their best
okay so which one are you and then
figure out you guys really want to trade
time for money or do you want to print
money and earn passive income okay and a
lot of people they want to print money
they want to earn money while they sleep
and you'll you're gonna have to make a
trade though you're going to have to
work and there's going to be no
guarantee for the amount of income that
you guys can make but long term this is
going to be probably the best way I
think because you are going to create a
solid foundation for yourself and your
business if you choose to do passive
income this is something that where for
years this could be retirement for you
okay what if you're too old to work and
you can't trade time for money anymore
well you will always have your contacts
because of all the work all the work you
put forth developing your business that
is revolved around passive income okay
why are you reading the chat oh I'm
reading the chat bro hey what's going on
man yeah yeah anyway I got some I got a
few guys on here right now so I've run
this over about 20 minutes I'm not even
sure how the Lighting's going to be but
but yeah I just want to let you guys
know one thing some of you might watch
my videos and I'm not even sure about
some of you might be watching my videos
and you might maybe you're thinking like
you know what it's easy for mark right
he makes it look so easy oh I don't know
how he does it he's just really good at
speaking and and I could never see
myself doing that he's just a really
good speaker or whatever or whatever
like I could never do a live video I'm
too scared
well let me tell you guys you know some
days it's it's not easy okay some days I
do not feel like being on camera
and making this light video this morning
I will tell you two things I was a
little bit nervous about it but you know
what I did it anyway because it scared
me it's it kind of scares me a little
bit so I did it anyway I was afraid like
oh my gosh am I gonna have enough stuff
to talk about I thought I would run out
of things to say right now if you told
that to my wife that Marc could run out
of things to say she would she would
just laugh at you right she would say
that's impossible so I it's just a joke
but you know so I was a little bit
scared I was very nervous but I just hit
that live button anyway I was more
concerned a little bit on how the
lighting it might not look that that
good so it's kind of like overexposed I
hope I hope YouTube improves this and
they're more they can figure out a way
to have the auto exposure adjust itself
a little bit better on the YouTube video
but that's besides the point here
because it's all that visual stuff
anyway anyway so I wanted to just make
this video because I really wanted to
just to reach out to you guys directly
and and and it really is that simple and
to figure out what your strengths is
guys and then just go out there and do
it and be persistent doing that and be
okay with the fact that you know what it
might take me a while it might take some
time it's not instant gratification
which a lot of us want we don't want to
do any work anymore a lot of us out
there just want the money now and
everything like that but if we just put
in the work now and understand that you
know it's going to be your your your
building your model for your business as
passive income and if you put in the
work now later you guys are going to get
massive rewards massive okay I'm talking
about just it could be something that
bigger than you've ever even thought it
could be okay
because that's what's happened to me
that's what happened to me years ago
where I did things by accident I was
providing people content but their
rewards were astronomical
I'm gonna I don't think that was a I
don't know that's a word but okay so
anyways that's it for this video I think
I kind of beat this to death and I'm
gonna get ready because it's 8 o'clock
and we're gonna go to the lake today
it's Wednesday and I don't have to go to
work I'm going to just go out to the
lake with my family and and get on those
little paddle boats and stuff like that
but I'm able to do that because I
focused on creating a passive income
okay and that they did not want to trade
time for money I wanted that freedom to
do whatever I wanted to do so I hope
