sharing with you all the latest traffic
numbers and of course the earnings and
I'm also gonna be talking a little bit
about how I think the whole coronavirus
thing is going to affect affiliate
marketing and the effect that it's
already had on my website let's go

update so in terms of work on the site
let me put a slide up now so you can
have a look at it I basically just been
adding some more content a lot of the
content is based on the keywords that
Cole sent to me if you don't know what
I'm talking about I'll put a link up to
the video now so you can see that
basically Carl offers a fantastic
keyword service and yeah I had some
articles created around the keywords
that he suggested and they're doing
really well I've also been playing
around with tags a little bit I've been
tagging up some articles with the view
to maybe adding some more filters to the
category pages to help people navigate
the site a little bit more easily again
I did a video on using tags as filters
and yeah it's a kind of really cool way
to help people kind of sort and filter
your content put a link up to that video
right now of course all the links I
talked about in this video you'll find
them in the description so adding
content is the primary focus in terms of
the work I'm doing on the site and we're
up to 108 articles that are published on
the site so yeah I'm really pleased with
that I'm looking I think to get it up to
around 200 as to figure I've got in my
head and if I keep going adding some
every single week I think we'll get
there quite quickly
so what loads of ideas I still want to
add more guides around specific cars
because you know there's loads of loads
of different cars out there so there's
an article that can be written about
each car and the best roof box for that
car I have got some more a kind of other
general article ideas that I'm going to
get written and published too so let's
jump into the figures let's start with
Google Analytics I'll put it up on the
screen now and while traffic is doing
okay now there is an obvious dip around
the whole coronavirus lockdown that
occurred at the beginning of last
week that was in the school shut and
that's when people were kind of asked
properly to stay in and we can see that
yeah traffic did start to decline a
little bit but interestingly it looks
like it's recovered well to a certain
degree I mean it's bit early to say I
guess but last couple days traffic has
been okay and overall for the month
traffic is still growing we managed to
get a total of seven thousand 237 users
in March so that's up ten percent on the
previous period and tell us that that
really jumped out me was the pageviews
it's up to 18,000 978 pageviews so
nearly 19,000 pageviews which is that 36
percent on the previous month so people
are looking at more pages when they
visit which is going to be really good
when it comes to the advertising revenue
that's all the traffic numbers for March
still growing still looking pretty good
but did that actually generate any
revenue well let's take a look let's
start with Amazon I'll put it up now and
yes it did in fact this is the best
month ever in terms of revenue from
Amazon we got a total of three hundred
and eighty dollars and two cents on
amazon.com and there was a whole lot of
products in there that I generated
commission from but actually over the
last week or so there's been quite a few
sales of roof boxes now I kind of
thought that maybe coronavirus was gonna
stop people buying roof boxes because
you know you don't need a roof box if
you're not going out but apparently not
people aren't buying roof boxes maybe
for when they go up to the store so you
know load up with a hundred or 200
different toilet rolls there's not
enough room in the car so they're
putting them all in a roof box I don't
know but you know I'm not complaining
roof boxes are still selling well let's
take a look at Amazon code at UK I put
the figures up now and we've had a
pretty good month over there too it's
coming at 39 pounds 72 pence which at
the current exchange rate translates
into $49 so really pleased with that if
we add that on to the amazon.com revenue
got a total amount from Amazon of 429
dollars and two cents and yeah that's
basically the best month we've had so
far from Amazon now I mentioned that
we're getting more pageviews so in
theory that should increase our Adsense
revenue let's take a look and well it
has we've had our best month on Adsense
this month or the last month I should
say much generating a total of twenty
eight dollars and fifty four cents so
that's growing quite nicely now so if I
add that on to the Amazon total we get a
grand total of four hundred and fifty
seven dollars and 56 cents so that's
fantastic I'm really pleased with that
best month ever site is continuing to
grow my overall target is to get their
own you up to four figures a month so at
least a thousand dollars and then I'm
gonna start thinking about possibly
selling the site or to end the video
with just a couple of quick thoughts on
the coronavirus epidemic and the effect
that that might have on affiliate
marketing websites now if we're hearing
mixed things from you guys from my
viewers regarding their site some people
have seen an increase in the traffic and
in the revenue to their sites and others
have seen a decrease so it's gonna
depend on your niche or your niche
that's certainly gonna have a big effect
because some things just well you just
can't do them anymore like sports and
stuff football soccer golf all that kind
of thing you can't do anymore so that is
also going to have a negative effect if
you're in that niche but then other
things like you know Fitness at home
cooking DIY and all those other things
that people are doing at home they're
all on the increase so I think it just
basically depends on the niche you're in
and if you get the right niche in terms
of choosing something that people can
still do even though we're on lockdown I
think you could do really well because
people are going to be spending a lot
more time on the Internet at the moment
because they can't go out they're going
to be doing a lot more shopping on the
internet because a lot of shops are shut
and they want to get their stuff
delivered so yeah I think with the right
niche and a good website and some useful
content that helps people make and you
know informed purchasing decisions I
think it's a great time to get into
affiliate marketing so that brings me to
