alright so hey what is going on you guys
welcome back to another video today what
we are going to be doing is I'm gonna be
answering your questions you've been
harassing me with through Twitter on my
new iphone iPhone 10 it's on iPhone 4
this is actually the new iPhone 10 it's
thick it's I like it it analyzes my face
yeah and that's that's what we're gonna
do so let's let's get into it I'm
looking on on Twitter right now you see
that's coming in and that's right yeah
guys I kind of just made that up
nobody's been asking me questions sad
life anyway what we're gonna be diving
into today is I made a question that I
told you guys to ask me and that is
affiliate marketing versus consulting
online all right this is a big deal this
is super important because yes some of
you may have known my story I got
started in affiliate marketing back in
2014 it's what allowed me to quit my job
at 19 years of age working at Red
Lobster where I was broke and suffering
it was miserable it wasn't too bad but
it wasn't paying the bills anyway I got
started because I was always told it was
the easiest route it was the best road
and I didn't know anything about
consulting online which is why I wanted
to compare the two I wanted to make my
own biased review on this and we're
gonna break it down so don't worry about
that smiley face up in that top right
corner pay attention to me because with
affiliate marketing if you've ever
struggled with it or if you've never
made consistent income or if you're
brand new to this kind of stuff online
business and you just want to quit your
job
it is promoting other people's offers
and we're not really gonna break it down
other than that much you're really just
selling other people's offers and you're
making some money from it okay and
that's literally what it is you're gonna
make anywhere from 50% Commission's all
the way to 75% commissions and that's
not bad but you're not making a hundred
percent of it okay you're taking a cut
so if you sell something for $100 you
make you might get paid you know thirty
dollars you might get paid you know
fifty dollars you might get paid seventy
five dollars if you're really really
lucky and that is if it's a digital
based product now the thing with this
that you also need to know is you have
absolutely no control you know
sure all over the customer support and
yes I have the you know writing of a
fourth grader that's cool Roast me in
the comments down below but you have no
control with customer support sales
pages which can be a good thing and also
bad thing it's a good thing in the
essence because as a brand new person
and if you've ever struggled on the
internet before you have no sales skills
right you've never sold anything before
you don't know how to sell so having no
control over that can be a good thing
but it can also be a bad thing because
when you go out there and you promote an
affiliate product okay if people have a
problem with that affiliate product you
promote it to them and they decided they
trust you enough to buy it like you know
they have a specific problem and maybe a
training video or training course isn't
covering that specific problem then if
you have no control over it and their
customer support team does and their
customer support team is not getting
back to them or they're not answering it
they're being very vague guess what
people are going to refund and charge
back alright and if people refund and
charge back they're not going to trust
you with purchasing another product from
you again because keep in mind they
trusted you enough to buy this product
you promote it to them so if it ends up
being garbage or it's not worth it okay
then you know you're kind of out of
luck and you lost somebody's trust
another thing with affiliate marketing
that you need to know there's a lot of
the products are you know they're
just really really bad an example of
this and I'm not dogging it but an
example of this we're not supposed to
share this top secret information yet
Brenda what are we doing we're skipping
ahead here so an example again repeating
myself of this would be if we go to
clickbank I reference this in so many
other videos I'm not gonna break down
how Clickbank works just know that it's
a place we have all these products now
that we can promote make 40 bucks per
sale $42 a sale $6 a sale the thing is
with a lot of Clickbank products and it
actually doesn't matter if you're on
Clickbank or some other marketplace a
lot of them are gonna be garbage they're
just like their sales pages aren't gonna
be up to date they're gonna be very
steamy looking and scammy looking and
you got to put yourself in your prospect
shoes when you're promoting affiliate
offers and that's one of the biggest
problems with just affiliate marketing
in general a lot of them are just not
that good so let's take a look at the
first one here as an example maybe you
guys might get an idea of what I mean so
this one is a little bit more
professional-looking it looks a little
bit more up to date like 2017 2018
looking so let's go find another one so
this
be something you may want to promote
let's check out another one though okay
let's just see what we got here because
literally trying to find good products
is like looking through rough patches
you got to look through through the
rough to find the diamonds okay so this
one looks a little bit outdated it
doesn't even look like a sales page it
looks like a blog post that was made
back in like 2007 it just looks like
there's no time and energy put into it
they're using the exact same picture for
each post so I mean putting myself in my
prospect shoes if I was into golfing I
personally would not want to even buy
any of the products on there let's check
out another one okay we're just going
through a couple examples here of what I
mean when it comes to affiliate
marketing here's one that looks actually
professional it looks good so I'm not
gonna dog it let's check out maybe my
name is Brandon Scott and I am the
disbanded well you can stop talking okay
I was talking so this right away it
looks like at the beginning like the
first page of it it looked kind of cool
but it looks very old it looks old
school it looks like it was something
that was made when they're first
discovering Microsoft Word back in like
the 90s all right in early 2000s like
they finally discovered how to change
the font from black to highlighting it
now in red okay that's what it looks
like and the sales video doesn't even
have a real person in it of the bravery
just a dude talking okay I putting
myself into my prospect shoes if I was
into guns and hoisters okay probably
saying that wrong but I'm Canadian so I
can get away with it I would personally
not be able to last 10 seconds on this
page and again you got to keep in mind
people have the attention span of a fly
they come on a sales page and they have
two seconds to make a decision whether
they're interested in it and proceeding
on to find out more information whether
they want to buy it or not
or they're not okay so you need to keep
these things in mind all right so I'm
just gonna eggs it cuz we can literally
go through a million in one different
products on Clickbank and I'm going to
talk about why there's fishing pictures
here in a second but that's the thing
you need to just kind of be aware of now
with consulting on the flip side of the
coin you have full control over
everything okay you know how we just
looked at some product pages and they
were doing the selling telling and
convincing for us okay where we don't
have to have any sales skills well the
cool thing with consulting yeah you know
we have to do the selling tone and
convince me but consulting is so much
easier to sell
then as with you know affiliate
marketing you got to convince somebody
to buy somebody else's product that you
have no control over you didn't even
create okay which means like I said if
somebody has a problem with that
affiliate marketing product they've got
to go to that customer support team and
if that customer support team isn't
answering their questions or their
specific problems they're having all
right and they're looking for clarity on
they're gonna refund that product and
they're not gonna trust you or buy from
you again
whereas consulting people can come to
you ask you their specific questions
that they're having specific problems
around and you're the doctor that's
gonna prescribe them the medication they
need to help them get the results they
want for that specific problem it's more
elevated you're in full control of it
which is easier to sell because that's
what people are looking for in the
marketplace that is why consulting is a
trillion dollar industry and if you're
not wanting to do it from the get-go as
a new person getting online or a
seasoned veteran or somebody who's been
struggling on the internet if you're not
seriously looking at consulting you're
missing the gravy Changa because it's so
easy to build a business in consulting
based around your passion so if you're
into fishing hiking snowboarding you're
a veterinarian and you're passionate
about animals and making them healthier
and better okay you can actually create
a consulting business around that okay
online think of it kind of like and I
know I'm talking here but I'm just
trying to give you guys examples to soak
it up in here knowledge right ty Lopez
talks about that all the time um you
know you want to read a book a day to
get some knowledge but anyway you want
to I lost my train of thought so I was
gonna use an example lost my train of
thought there for a second but we're
back so think of it like you go to the
gym you have a gym membership and
there's all the equipment there at that
gym to get the results that you want to
get that shredded body but why is it
there's a lot of people there's a
demographic of people always doesn't
matter what your gym you're going to
there's always gonna be personal
trainers at those gyms why is that
because even though people have all the
equipment they're to get the results
they need there's some individuals
specific individuals not everyone but
some individuals that need help with
specific problems they're having cool
thing with consulting is you can charge
people a monthly continuity offer
meaning you can charge them a
subscription offer or you can get paid
every single month from them you can
charge them anywhere from
to say like $50.00 a month all the way
to $100 all right a month to be in your
consulting program and again I recommend
it to be digital how would you do that I
highly recommend one of the easiest ways
to do it without having to hire graphic
designers web coders tfbg all right
private Facebook groups is the easiest
way to build a consulting program all
right your own consulting program and
business also the cool thing with this
is you can charge people not just
monthly but you can give them an option
because not everyone's gonna want to pay
monthly okay you can give them an option
to pay one times a year access to your
mentoring to your consulting for maybe
four hundred and ninety seven dollars
all right a one-time payment or annual
payment not too shabby
not too shabby at all okay and show
share with you kind of how this works so
because we talked about click big we
went through a couple products and I
skim through that let's look at kind of
how this would work with a private
Facebook group so going back over to the
Internet how this would work is I
actually have a mock-up that I just
created about five minutes ago before or
twenty six minutes ago apparently my bad
wrong time as you can see I made this
like about thirty minutes ago it's
called phishing Academy 101 if I was
into fishing I was one of my passions my
hobbies my interest that I had knowledge
on I would create a consulting business
around that where I teach people my
fishing techniques my baiting techniques
how to make homemade you know bait for
fishing how to do ice fishing like and
then you can find pictures on Google
like I did here at Google search I
literally found this picture right here
okay I saved it I uploaded it back in
here if you want to get a logo on your
picture go to fiverr.com you can hire a
graphic designer
for a facebook cover and pay them 20
bucks 30 bucks to make it you know logo
on it not necessary something you don't
really need but look at that took me
three seconds to make a private Facebook
group right I'm going to give them
things they can expect you know I'm
gonna do live streams once a week I'm
gonna do phone calls live phone call
sessions with people you know every
Monday and every Friday I'm gonna you
know answer people specific questions
anytime they ask them in the group I'm
gonna give them that one-on-one help
that you can't get out there by watching
free YouTube videos around fishing and
going out there and reading free posts
on Facebook around fishing yeah people
can go and get that information but to
put it to practice to put it to use
okay that's where the consulting comes
into play so don't ever underestimate
your value you can bring to the
marketplace based on your passion your
hobby your interest when it comes to
starting consulting versus affiliate
marketing how you want to grow this
group and this is just a tip for you
guys is you want to go and you want to
create another Facebook group okay so
you have your paid one here so we'll do
like members only and let's say they're
paying you $50 a month so you're gonna
create a second one and this second one
is going to be public okay it's going to
be a public Facebook group so this one
is private okay this one is private
where you're charging people $50 a month
for your knowledge and expertise this
one is public and what you do with your
public one is you go out there and you
find other Facebook groups okay you find
other Facebook groups on Facebook that
have like you know 50,000 followers
there's not really criteria for it but
you want to find you know popular
influential Facebook pages and and
groups okay so let's say that one's
about 50k you know fans this one's got
you know a hundred thousand fans and
let's say we have another one here as an
example it's got like 1 million okay 1
million fans on its page or in its group
it doesn't matter if it's a fan page or
if it's just know that and what we're
gonna look for in these groups and fan
pages as we become in these Facebook
pages and groups where there's a lot of
engagement and we will leave our
comments in here as well and we leave it
in a way that actually helps and engages
on the specific piece of content so this
one is about you know more reasons to
eat your fruits and vegetables
Ryan's talking about like apricots
avocado blueberries so then what I would
do is I would come back to my private
Facebook group again that I made public
my public one and I would post a piece
of content that is relating back ok to
this specific piece of content that was
posted here right here all right and I
would put together maybe a recipe on how
to eat your fruits and vegetables with
carrots and cabbage mixed right how to
have a soup with carrots and cabbage in
it alright and I would post that inside
of all right my public group I just make
a little post there maybe it's a video
tutorial where people can press play on
it maybe it's a blog article maybe it's
just a long thread Facebook post okay
I would post that in my public group and
then what I would do is I come back over
to that engage ville group on that
specific content and I would write up a
little title and thread kind of like how
people are leaving it here right I'd
write up something a little bit long
again not spamming people the exact same
thing over and over again but I'll type
up something a couple paragraphs all
right and then what I would do is I'd
link back to my content on my public
page and what's cool about this is
people are gonna come back they're gonna
see your little post that you made okay
answering their questions and giving
them a solution they'd come over to your
link they're gonna read that recipe on
how to make you know a spinach and
carrot soup they're gonna like that and
then they're gonna follow your page and
now guess what you have one follower on
your page and then eventually you'll
grow your following by doing the same
strategy implementing it day in and day
out
okay just by putting value based content
not the same content over and over again
you're changing it up daily okay that's
what you want to do and eventually
you'll have a following of you know
let's say a thousand people that like
your Facebook group just using this one
simple strategy you can do this in
literally the next 90 days okay if
you're doing it consistently guys every
single day you can do this the next 90
days and what's ninja about this you
might wonder well Brando how does that
get people in my you know private
membership consulting community now
you're gonna run Facebook Ads to those
followers here and that's laser targeted
people who already know you it's not
cold traffic that doesn't know who you
are they like you they know you they
trust you because they're getting value
now from your public group okay
cool so how would you do that well all
you would do is you come over here you
go to create ads okay we're gonna wait
for it to load here alright so we're
gonna go back here we're gonna go pixels
okay once we get over to pixels we are
going to go like this we're gonna go to
audiences okay we're gonna go create an
audience custom audience we're going to
go to website traffic all website
visitors people who visit a specific
webpage we're going to make sure that
that is our actual page okay so creating
a custom audience
people who visit a specific webpage so
that is gonna be obviously our Facebook
group so we're gonna take this link
assuming this is our link to our public
group and then we're gonna come back
over here we're gonna paste it in there
so every time somebody comes to our
public group you know with our thousand
people that are in there are a thousand
followers they're now going to be able
to get ads shown to them through
Facebook and because they've already
seen us they'll see our ads now and
they're like oh I know that person I've
seen that person before I'm gonna check
them out I'm gonna see what they're
selling I'm gonna see what they're doing
so we're just gonna put that in there
all right we're gonna see everyone who's
been there in the last 30 days and we're
gonna name our audience FB 3 target team
group public all right something I can
remember and then we're just gonna hit
create group ok your custom audience was
created and now we're gonna use this as
an advertisement ok so we're gonna
create an ad around that what we're
gonna do is hit conversions
we're gonna hit continue okay we're
gonna want to make sure that we already
have a tracking pixel conversion that's
already you know ready to go it's
already operating I already do if you
don't know how to do that definitely you
know watch another YouTube video on that
there's a lot of YouTube videos you just
Google how to create a conversion track
tracking pixel on Facebook there's so
many free videos on the that kind of
stuff you don't have to pay for that
information ok but now we have our FB
retargeting public group in there
assuming that you know we've built it up
to a thousand followers with our example
we're going through here alright and now
we can start running ads to them and
what are we running ads to what we're
running ads to our capture page ok and
what is our capture page our capture
page is a page that looks exactly like
this not exactly not word for word but
it's just a page where people enter
their name and email to get on your
email list that's what you want to do
you want to build an asset be smart okay
build an asset so then when people get
on your email list ok right here now
what you can do is you can start
following up with them building a
relationship with them which is the
biggest thing in business and when you
email them you can share with them that
membership consulting community where
you're charging people 50 dollars per
month and guess what now they're gonna
be very open to looking at that
actually buying it from you because they
know who you are they trust you you're
not pitching them upfront and you've
built a following through value right
keep in mind you created a public group
and in that public group you're just
delivering free value-based content all
right and you're connecting and building
that group through other influencers fan
pages and Facebook groups that you know
how people relate it around your niche
okay so I hope that makes sense that's
all you're doing and that's how it works
it's really just a spin cycle a whole
mess and if you're in a coma by the end
