in this video I'm gonna be sharing with
you a little video that Doug Pennington
sent me Doug Pennington from niche site
project or niche so I predict if you're
American now you may have seen Doug on a
great success with the Amazon affiliate
program and in this video that I'm about
to share with you he actually shares
with us his earnings from one of his
Amazon affiliate sites and he also
shares with us a couple of thoughts on
what separates people that find success
with Finnick marketing and those that
don't so I thought this to be perfect
for a Monday because on Monday I think
you know as well as some strong coffee
to get you going
you also need some inspiration to kind
of push you forward through the week and
this video has got plenty of inspiration
so hopefully it will be enough to kind
of get you going and get you working and
get you inspired for the week so I think
that's enough chitchat for me let's go

I'm gonna share my Amazon affiliate
earnings for one single niche site in
2017 my name is Doug Huntington of the
founder of niche site project and I'm
sharing this on WP Eagle with Alex's
audience so I appreciate that and I do
want this to be inspiring
now I don't throw out my earnings all
the time I do like to remind people that
I am a practitioner I do understand what
I'm doing and I'm not just telling you
tactics that I don't actually implement
myself I know this stuff so so part of
the reason I do share this occasionally
is when I was first getting started I
found these types of you know proof of
income proof of revenue really inspiring
because you can tell I'm just a regular
dude that didn't like his job at some
point in time and now I can make money
online and it's fantastic let's head
over and look at 2017 revenue again for
just one niche site you can see it's
about seventy thousand dollars which is
for most people a full time income some
you know some families that wouldn't go
as far that is enough for you know a
couple years of just income one thing I
do want to show you is the 2016 revenue
as well and you'll notice in January of
2016
well you can't even actually make it out
but it was only about a hundred dollars
of revenue there and it slowly grew I
think around the June timeframe it was
about $1,000 in it reached like over 14
nearly fifteen thousand dollars in
December of 2016 and then you can see
that it continued to be you know
profitable in the 2017 as well this is a
good point in time to mention the reason
most people end up failing with their
niche sites is they stop too soon
like I mentioned 2016 was very slow
I mean it started in January at about
$100 and slowly grew up to write a very
profitable December but it was slow and
a lot of people just give up before they
get traction and before they see any
results things take time anything
worthwhile it's going to take time and
the second reason people fail is if they
you know say they launched a site and
they maybe they're trying for a long
time but they're trying one tactic here
for a month and another tactic here for
a month maybe they're trying to get
links on Fiverr for another month and
then they're trying social and then they
try SEO traffic and they just keep
bouncing around but they never stick
with anything long enough to actually
make it work a lot of times when we're
starting to learn some concept whatever
it is we'll make some mistakes early on
it's our job to recognize those mistakes
not make them anymore and find a better
way to do things but if you're moving
around from different tactic to
different strategy and you never stick
with anything long enough you're just
not gonna figure it out so you'll just
go from one thing to another where you
make the you know beginners and mistakes
and then you never fix it later so
