okay so you always wanted to just do
nothing and make money well you can if
you set things up right you can actually
set things up and then you can get
things rolling and once the momentum
rolls in you'll be able to generate
income for yourself so what is that my
name is Tyler Pratt I like to help
entrepreneurs just like you go out there
and have success online so for me you
know the content driven websites it's
been around for a long time it's been
it's a concept that just originally
started back with like Friendster and
then you have my space my space was was
one of the original content driven sites
so somebody would put up a website so
created any content he never created he
and really didn't do anything he just
attracted users to it and all the users
created the content for myself I used to
create a ton of content on MySpace and
used to market all kinds of stuff on
there it was a great platform when it
was rolling good but then they cut off a
lot of the loopholes and it didn't work
anymore but that was one of the original
content creating websites so the guy
that owned that was making a tremendous
amount of money and so it's evolved over
time to where you and I can go out there
and we can utilize the same principles
and concepts to generate income for
ourselves online so what I'm going to do
is I'm going to go over to my computer
I'm going to show you how to do that now
Before we jump into that if you want to

so let's talk about content driven sites
YouTube is a great example the owners of
YouTube obviously it's Google now but a
couple of guys started it back in the
day and all of us create content for
YouTube the YouTube owners they don't
create any content they're making crazy
billions of dollars with YouTube another
great example is going to be reddit
reddit was started by a couple of guys
and they're all it's just content driven
all the users get on there and they
create all the content for the sites
okay so we read it they can do whatever
they want with that with the traffic
they can send it
affiliate offers they could build a list
they could do all kinds of amazing
things with that content because the
website has grown with users users
create the content so how do you really
go out and do that you got to think of
creating this huge audience by creating
a content driven website there's a
couple of ways you can do this and this
is something that has evolved over time
and you're good what your goal is is to
not necessarily create a next myspace or
a next Facebook like Facebook is just is
just a content driven website Zuckerberg
created the platform people came there
and they have created all the content
Instagram the same way snapchats the
same way it's a content driven website
so your goal and your mindset is
thinking okay how do I create a Facebook
type website okay I'm not saying go out
there and do a duplicate Facebook
because it'll be struggle to do that but
you want to think of a niche concept
that you can do to have all the users
coming in and creating on the content so
there's a couple of websites I mean a
couple of software programs that you can
use in fact there's two of them that
will help you do this okay two apps to
two software programs to help you do
that first one you want to do is if you
go to google and type in buddypress
buddypress
is a way to take WordPress WordPress is
free but he presses free and you can
create a community around your WordPress
website so you go to buddy press dot
o-r-g and what it is is you can create a
community okay and communities that are
on your website create all the content
for you let me give you some examples of
this here's a great website that that
uses the Buddy press platform it's
called tasty kitchen now all of these
users on here create all the content for
this website so you see that recent
recipes so here's by Crystal here's
Natalie
okay here's Beth here's Lindsey right
here's Jennifer all of these are members
they create the content for the for the
website the owner of tasty kitchen gets
to benefit from all of that traffic they
get to go out there and they can put you
know banners up here they can sell
affiliate offers they can build a list
so just think of the possibilities when
you
have a huge community like that now
Facebook groups is similar at but you
can't really do much with Facebook
groups and that's why I like to create
communities like this around a program
like buddypress buddypress is simple you
just plug it into your WordPress
platform and then what you do is you can
create a community on around that people
can sign up members can sign up
buddypress is always you know updating
their software it's free so you all you
have to do is just make maintain the
software and your your program will last
a long time now another one that I used
for a long time is going to be V
bulletin so V bulletin is another
community type software so if we click
on V bullets in here I had a big a big
entertainment site okay it was a movie
site that I had and I was using V
Poulton and it was huge it was blown up
people were members were coming in there
all the time creating content and I was
able to take that and put banners in
there I was able to put affiliate links
in there and I was just crushing with
that but I had an end up having to shut
that website down because of a lot of
the movie links in there were
copyrighted and stuff like that and and
I just needed to there was just too much
copyrighted stuff in there and I didn't
shut it down but when it was rolling
that vbulletin website was was big and
it was creating lots and lots of traffic
and then I could do a lot with that okay
so let me show you some examples of how
this is really done so V bullets in
there's a website called Bitcoin talk
that o-r-g all it is is just a community
niche around Bitcoin right now people
talk about it people talk about
investing all that good stuff right here
now this is a very generic
vbulletin sorcerer here but the owner of
this website can do a lot with it he
could put banners up here you could put
affiliate links up here huge amounts of
traffic coming in because all the
members come in there and they create
the communities for them another great
example this is going to be warrior
forum they used to be a be bulletin and
then they they got bought out and they
switched up their plan a little bit but
they've transitioned from the old system
into this new system which is still the
same type of concept but all the content
is created by users and they
I'm the warrior form they create all the
content and then all the traffic is
driven from that so you're able to do
that for yourself you can use to these
two programs buddypress and you can use
vbulletin both of these are available to
you you can use vBulletin which is you
can do it in the cloud right now before
it used to be you know we have to get
server to download the software now you
can actually host everything into the
cloud they run everything for you it's
very simple very easy but you have to
build your community up and I suggest
that you do a niche type of community so
if it's very niche down then you're the
better you're gonna be so like tasty
kitchen is all about recipes women come
here they they post their recipes and
they can find out more about that so you
build a community around that once you
build that community up you can do
whatever you want with it you can go out
there and put Philly at links you can do
you build a list I mean the
opportunities are there are too crazy I
mean just imagine if you own Facebook
imagine if what if you put a Philly a
link on the side over there - something
you I mean you would crush it the
website would be crushed when you would
just it would be crazy but they have so
you know Zuckerberg built up that
community and all the people create the
content he doesn't have doing anything
so once you build up your community you
sit back and you don't have to do
anything because all your users are
building your content for you okay so
that's content driven websites it's a
great way to get into you know marketing
online it's a great way to sit back at
at some point and let you know really do
nothing now I'm not saying you can't
just do nothing obviously I'm not going
to insult your intelligence by that but
once you get a community driven website
rolling it's easy to sit back and let
the the community create all the content
for you and you just kind of sit back
and move the traffic wherever you want
to go there you go go out there take
