hey what is up this Tyler Pratt in this
video I want to really show you about
tracking affiliate traffic so if you're
starting to track there's a few ways to
do it so if you have affiliate links so
you take your affiliate links it's
unique to you you're going to go out and
you're going to start posting your link
all over the internet that's fine and
I'm not saying you know you shouldn't do
that but you need to be strategic about
it need to be able to track it ok and so
I wanted to give you a real
understanding of how you can do it and
and you know the best uses of it but you
just gotta understand that tracking your
keywords is so vital because let's say
you put let's say you have a blog and
you have a top banner a side banner and
a bottom banner and you track each of
those banners so you could track banner
number one band number two band number
three and if all of your sales are
coming from let's say banner number two
or on the side widget and zero are
coming from the bottom widgets you may
want to you know I don't know take those
and change those around a little bit
okay if you're taking your links and
you're buying traffic like Facebook if
you're buying other types of traffic and
you're not you're not able to track
those keywords or you're not be able to
track it then you're not going to really
know what's what's converting because
anybody can get traffic but you got to
be able to convert those traffic into
sales okay if your if your traffic is
coming in it there's no sales coming in
then you got to dump that traffic source
and find a new traffic source one that's
going to convert for you okay so you can
use a program that I like to use is
called click magic it's a third-party
program and what it does is you can put
a piece of code onto your thank-you page
like so if somebody buys a product and
goes to Thank You page then you can
track that very easily and you can see
sales where they're coming from keywords
in the lap however with affiliate
marketing it's you don't really have
access to the Thank You page because
you're sending traffic to somebody
else's product you get paid a commission
for it okay so there is a couple
different ways number one if you have a
bonus page let's say you have a bonus
page that you set up inside of your
affiliate marketing and so if somebody
buys that product you give away some
bonuses they click on the bonus and go
to that page you can use clickmagick
in that
case but if you don't have a bonus page
and you're just sending straight traffic
then you want to use keyword tagging on
the end of your affiliate links so I'll
show you example here let me just go
back really quick so I wanted to show
you this so when you're using
clickmagick there's a little piece of
code right here you just go up here to
this drop-down window track conversions
and you go to sales track so you go to
sales track in here so this piece of
coder here you take this and you put
this inside of your HTML code and you
can change the amount right here so if
you're making $40 you know on that you
can set that right there and that's
going to show up in your stats as a sale
so then you can see exactly which
keywords so if you're buying keywords
you can see exactly which keywords are
working if you're buying traffic on a
particular website you can see which
websites are working and which ones
aren't working so it's a great
indication that if you see a website
that's really sending a lot of traffic
and you're making a lot of sales you
want to continue to focus in on that
traffic source okay so if you're going
to let's say Clickbank and you go to
your promote link here and I'm going to
say top so you create your link i'ma say
top banner right let's just pretend like
you're putting this on the top of your
banner so then this code right here all
of this right here is going to be what
you would put in your HTML and this is
what you would use wherever you're at
online and you can just add the keyword
on the end so tid equals
top banner so now when somebody clicks
on that link goes there and they buys
the product that's going to top banner
is going to show up in your stats and
you'll know okay top banner is working
if you have a keyword that says bottom
banner and you're not and you get a ton
of traffic but no sales then you want to
change that up a little bit okay so
that's that's how you use keywords with
Clickbank and then you have let's say
pier fly right here you can use top
banner you can also do a couple other
ones you can do top banner ad number one
if you were using ads you can say top
banner ad number one let's just say I
had number one top banner let's just say
blog
blog page three all right it's just
saving the Amplatz on page three of your
blog it's ad that is going to be really
super targeted you can see okay traffic
is coming from blog page three it's
coming from ad one and it's coming from
my top banner if you're using ads like
that you can also just just change it up
okay you can say top banner you can say
let's say you're buying traffic from oh
man we're buying traffic from Facebook
right Facebook and you're doing you're
targeting let's say you're targeting men
and you're targeting men over the age of
thirty so you could say so this would be
your link Facebook it would be men over
the age of thirty right
or it could be Facebook it could be
banner number one and then say you know
banner number one you can just leave
like that if you wanted to do that so
you just take this whole link right here
right and this is the link that which
you would use so every time you take
your link and you're going to promote
something whether it be you're going to
take your link and you're going to post
it on your Facebook wall
always have a tracking code on it
because and have it unique so what I do
a lot of times with my tracking codes is
I'll just put a date on the end of it so
let's say here we are May or June
I'll just put June 8th and I'll put 2017
right I know June 8th 2017 and then if
I'm going to put it on let's say
Facebook let's say a Facebook group
affiliate affiliate let's say Facebook
group affiliate marking a.m. ok so now
when I see that my stats I say okay if I
get a sale two or three months down the
road and it says June 8th right and it's
September and I can go back oh okay I
posted that June 8th I got a sale for
that it's inside the Facebook group
affiliate marketing let me go back and
figure out what was going on in there
and maybe I can increase my you know my
action inside of that group ok that's
how you're going to be tracking always
track every link every every link right
I don't care if you take in your link
and your you're going to post it you
know inside of an email all
I always have tracking on it so it you
know emails can be a date every day if
you sent an email with your code always
have a code on it and what that's going
to do is you're going to start to pull
out the where the actions at your so
pull out okay this is where all the
traffic is coming from okay so it's
coming from my emails where it's coming
from this blog or it's coming from this
banner or it's coming from this Facebook
post that I did or this it's coming from
my fan page all the traffic and the the
conversions is it's coming from this one
place so all you do is you just ramp
that up over and over and over again
until you get tons and tons of sales and
and life is good okay that's all I do
every time I put up put a link up I'm
always tracking it because I so I know
exactly want to do it then and I just
all I do is once I get you know you
start throwing links out there and you
get a couple hits then you know okay I'm
going to zoom in and then I'm going to
focus in on that alright okay so if you
