okay so you have a YouTube channel and
you're trying to make money with YouTube
well I want to talk to you a little bit
about per thousand views what your
channel could be making and this might
help you out if you're starting a new
channel maybe you've been creating a
channel for yourself and you're not
really sure where to go I'm gonna go
over each individual plane to 'el
channels the channel types and then what
I'm going to do is I'm going to show you
and this is from talking to a ton of
people this is research from my own
channel a lot of the data on my channel
a lot of the different videos that I
have on my channel and what I've done
was I've been able to kind of dissect
what each type of niche in each channel
is getting paid per thousand views if
you're not familiar with you know CPM
was is the benchmark for YouTube it's
what people get paid per thousand views
so if you have a YouTube channel a
YouTube video and on that YouTube video
every thousand views you can get X
amount of dollars it's gonna range
dollars per CPM ok so I'm gonna go over
exactly which ones pay from 0 all the
way to up to like 30 dollars per CPM and
we're gonna do it right here on this
video okay so make sure if you're if
you're starting a new channel and you
want to get excited about a channel you
want to definitely look at this list
that I'm gonna put together for you
because a lot of times people they get
excited about YouTube they want to make
money with them but then they realize
Mowlem I got all these views I got all
these channels and I'm not making any
money with it because the ads just
aren't paying and there's a reason why
okay you got to remember this is YouTube
is a it's a business it's needs to make
money okay if YouTube doesn't make money
it doesn't exist okay then we can't have
the platform right so think about that
when you're creating your channel
YouTube needs to create income for
itself it has to sell advertisement
that's the only way it's generating
income you know you guys think about all
these videos that are uploaded these
require servers they require networking
and require you know employees to handle
all these servers in order to get these
videos to work on to
YouTube ok so YouTube needs to go out
there and they need to sell advertising
and they're going to sell advertising to
the best videos out there that are going
to attract the the right people they're
going to buy those ads ok so not all
advertisers are going to come in and buy
ads on certain videos alright so let's
let me jump into some of the different
channels let me jump into some of the
different platforms that we can use all
right so the first one I want to talk to
you about is the prank videos ok the
prank channels okay so this is where you
know people go out to different places
they and they perform pranks now these
get ton of views I mean you look at some
of these views are like 2 3 million
views but they don't get paid anything
there's not making it any money on those
on those videos okay why because
advertisers aren't gonna spend money on
a prank video okay I just it's it's if
you're doing a prank video right now and
you not make any money because
advertisers just aren't going to spend
money on there they're just it's not
it's just a it's gonna be it won't be
beneficial to them okay so prank videos
they're gonna make anywhere from from 0
to like $1 per thousand views alright so
if you're thinking about starting a
prank channel you're gonna be spending a
ton of time you're gonna be spending a
ton of time creating these videos and
you're not really going to be get
generated really in any income from the
ads now you could make videos on
sponsorship but that's going to be a
tough also alright so prank videos is
going to be the lowest on the CPM scale
alright so the next one is going to be
music alright so music is gonna be
anywhere from zero to two dollars per
you know CPM the thing with music is you
think yeah music would attract a lot of
the advertisers but it really doesn't
because music is something that they are
the music industry already has their own
infrastructure as far as how they're
making the money and they're not making
the money from running ads they're
making money from actual people taking
the the the music and put it out there
they're getting royalties for that so
anytime somebody you see a lot of these
videos that music videos and they're
like you know a hundred million views
well they're not really making that ton
of money so if you're thinking about
getting into them to the music in this
you're gonna be you're gonna be making
anywhere from zero to two dollars per
CPM all right just not gonna be a whole
lot of money in that and besides the
music industry there's so much copyright
stuff we're going on going on with that
industry that it's tough to even really
make a good kind of mark into the music
industry all right so the next one is
gonna be gaming now gaming is huge you
know guys that are on gaming they're
gonna be putting up games are gonna be
playing games and they're gonna be you
know put those online they get a ton of
views there's people that have channels
in the millions all right millions of
subscribers millions of views on the
videos the problem is is that not a lot
of advertisers are coming to those
channels and spending their money okay
there's just not a whole lot of there's
not a whole lot of you know advertisers
that want to spend our money on gaming
industries number one it's the the crowd
is too young secondly the it's just it's
not enough people aren't really going to
be spending money on those channels
they're gonna be watching the you know
the videos most of time there's like
imma spend the money so you're gonna be
making anywhere from $1 to $3 per CPM on
a gaming channel right just not a whole
lot of money and it's something that you
know if you chuck if you want to get
into that then I would say maybe you
know you're gonna spend a whole lot of
time creating these videos you're gonna
spend a whole lot of time putting these
up now I know some of you guys you're
probably gonna argue with me and you're
probably gonna complain about this but
this is just the reality of it okay you
know this is just a reality of seeing
this over the years I've been on YouTube
for the last ten years and I've seen all
the different channels I've even tried
all the different channels and I can
tell you exactly these are pretty
accurate as far as a CPM and now this is
the ad spent on the channels that
doesn't mean you can't go make money
with other things but just with CPM on
the channel itself this is what you're
going to be getting making money with
all right so the next one is going to be
V logs Sophie logs is things like KC
nice stats and some of the other ones
that just go out there and take their
camera and they just create you know
logs of their day so that whatever they
do during the day they just film it the
edit it and put
up now these are great videos okay and
these spent you know as people have to
spend a lot of time putting these
together because you got to edit them
you got to film it you got to put all
these together you're gonna make
anywhere from $1 to $4 per CPM on this
right this is not a lot a whole lot of
advertisers we're gonna be spending
money on that it's just because there's
not a whole lot of return on that
there's people aren't spending money on
V logs they're spending the time
watching the videos they're not clicking
ads and there's just not a whole lot of
money that's gonna be put into that so
if you're thinking about doing a lot of
be logs this is the the mud um you know
the amount of money that you could be
making with this again it doesn't mean
you can't sell merchandise and all the
other stuff but if you're looking to
strictly make money with ads on YouTube
this is gonna be your the money that
you'll make okay so the next one is
gonna be cars
all right so cars it's gonna be like
doing car videos maybe you know you're
racing cars or you certain cars that you
like and you go to car shows and you
talk about cars and all that could stop
the CPM on cars is going to be in here
from $2 to $5 per CPM okay it's just
there's just again there's not going to
be a lot of sponsors that are spending
money on the car videos right now okay
just they're just people aren't really
clicking on the ads going out and
spending the money so you got to think
about that when you're putting your
channel together are you know it's cars
it's something that you want to do so
this is you know $2 to $5 if you're
getting into any type of car niche so
the next one is going to be make up make
up is something that you know there's
tons of views there's lots and lots of
make up channels you're going to be
making anywhere from $3 to $10 okay so
you're going to start to make a little
bit more money with with these channels
right here so makeup is is a great
channel to really get into it that's
something you want to want to do so if
you are a female even a male you can get
into makeup and do that I've seen you
know you there's a makeup to me is a
channel that you could sell down the
road or you could get a lot of
sponsorship on the outside of that okay
but CPM wise spending ads you're going
to make anywhere from $3 to 10
/ on the makeup Channel all right so the
next one is gonna be credit so if you
talk about a credit card or talk about
getting out of debt or you talk about
anything like that these now you're
starting to look into channels and
videos that are starting to make money
you're gonna make anywhere from seven to
ten dollars per CPM on credits okay so
credit cards getting out of debt
why because Visa and MasterCard and
American Express
they'll come to those channels and
they'll advertise big-time on those
channels that's why they're gonna be
bidding up so you gotta understand this
is when somebody comes to a channel and
they're gonna run ads on that and if
there's four or five people on that they
have to keep out bidding each other to
get you know all of the traffic from
that video and as they keep out bidding
each other the price the CPM goes up
that's why I like prank videos there's
just there might be one person on the
video that's you know that's advertising
on there and there's just no law there's
no competition for there's no auction
type competition where they're competing
against each other but when you get into
credit you got like Visa MasterCard
American Express they're all competing
against each other to try to get the
best spot try to get the highest spot in
the advertising from you know the the
credit type websites so if you're in if
you're doing credit type websites you
could be making some really good money
with that so think about that as you're
putting your channel together okay so
the next one is going to be financed
so finance is going to be anything from
investing or are you banking or you know
it's kind of making money type things
with finances you're gonna be making
anywhere from eight to fifteen dollars
per CPM okay so you got to think about a
lot of you know there's gonna be a lot
of making money type advertisers they're
gonna come into those finance channels a
lot of business opportunities are gonna
be coming into those finance channels a
lot of maybe stock people that you know
have stock programs and they're trying
to sell so there's going to be a lot of
competition for finance types of videos
so anything like if you're creating any
type of video that's it's you know has
to do with business opportunities or
make money or anything like that you're
going to start to really generate some
really good CPM income from
your finance videos so anywhere from
eight to ten to eight to fifteen dollars
plus per on the finance videos so the
next one is going to be real estate okay
so real estate is really good because if
you're like a real estate agent if your
real estate investor now you're starting
to get into some really really good
numbers for your channel so you have
real estate if you're if you're going
out there and you're showing homes or
you're showing mansions or showing all
kinds of stuff that you do in real
estate now you're starting to get into
the point where there's gonna be lots
and lots of people that are businesses
and corporations and individuals they're
going to be competing for those you know
for those videos and try to get to the
best spot on those videos that means
you're going to be making anywhere from
twelve seventeen dollars per CPM
starting to getting some really good
really good numbers here getting a
really good income for that channel okay
so real estate if you're into real
estate right now start I would suggest
you start making videos search shirt
going around town and sharks showing
videos of you doing deals and and if
you're investing do do investing videos
okay so all of that good stuff is going
to start paying you really good now the
next one is gonna be investing okay so
if you're into investing like if you're
investing into stocks into the stock
market or if you're investing into even
like cryptocurrency things like that
stocks and bonds and options all of that
that's all investing if you're creating
videos around that this is going to pay
out really well it's going to pay off
anywhere from twelve to seventeen
dollars you know any for twelve in
dollars per CPM plus for investing
videos why because there's there's lots
and lots of investing companies out
there that are trying to compete to try
to get the best spots on these these
videos so you have like you know you
think about it you got you got banks you
got big investment companies you got
even all the credit card companies will
try to get onto the investing you got
etrade a lot of these big stock brokers
are trying to attract people to their
platform okay so they're gonna be
spending a lot of money on these
investing videos so if you're in if
you're doing real estate and investing
videos you're going to be making really
really good money on your
cp/m really get money for from your ads
and the last one is going to be e
commerce and Shopify things like that
it's really hot right now there's so
many people that are creating courses
and video courses and all that they're
trying to attract all those people to
their courses they're trying to get
people onto the list so if you're doing
e-commerce and Shopify stores you're
gonna make anywhere from 13 to 20
dollars per CPM alright so every
thousand views that you get you can be
making anywhere from 13 to 20 dollars
per CPM so if you're making e-commerce
videos Shopify videos keep doing that
keep cranking those out because those
will start to pay off for you and as
your account starts to grow and you get
more views and you get more channels
videos on your channel it's gonna
definitely start to grow for you so
anywhere from 13 to 20 dollars per you
know shopify ecommerce store so you just
understand people that you know they get
into they want to get all these views
and they want to get all of this stuff
but the views don't pay you know
subscribers don't pay it's it's the
views on the actual channel it's trying
to attract the right people to those
videos to pay that again remember
YouTube has to make money they have to
earn a profit from the ad so they're
doing their best to attract the right
people to their platform in order to
sell those ad spots so I would
definitely if you're looking to get into
channel you're looking to start doing
one of these niches you want to pick one
of these and you want to go for it
because you can make some really really
good money with your CPM and your views
