How Not To Lose Money With Facebook Ads


hey what is up this is Tyler Pratt and
in this video I want to talk to you
about not losing money with Facebook ads
right how to not get taken with Facebook
ads because Facebook ads can be a real
money hog if you're not careful with
what you're doing okay so there's a few
things that you want to really kind of
get accomplished here number one with
Facebook ads you got have a plan you got
to go into it knowing exactly what
you're doing you got to know into going
into it just knowing what is your plan
of attack of what you're going to be
doing with ads okay where you going to
send people what are you going to do
when you follow up things like that you
can't just throw ads at it and just hope
for the best just like throwing
spaghetti it against the wall it just
won't work you'll just lose money and
you get frustrated and you'll blame
Facebook ads because you'll say you try
to they suck it didn't work okay
Facebook as works great okay if you just
know a few things there's a couple
things you want to really keep in mind
number one is when you're buying
Facebook ads okay you want to make sure
that if you're going to be spending
let's say a dollar you want to make sure
you have a couple of goals okay with
Facebook ads but one is you want to be
able to start building a list so if you
send somebody from an ad send them to a
opt-in form that you can put them on
your email list and that way you can
follow up if you send them straight to a
sales page they're going to look at that
if they don't like your offer they're
going to go away and you're going to
lose a traffic if you go to an article
you know you can there's not they're not
always going to be they're going to go
to article they're going to read it and
then maybe call to action at the end
okay that's going to be good but the
thing about with articles is that they
go there they could read it and then go
back to whatever they're doing alright
you don't really capture the email all
the time that's why I like to go to an
opt-in form give away some type of free
offer free cheat sheet free checklist I
give away templates in one of mine so
it's I give away something I get an
email so I can follow up with people now
there's another thing that's real
important is if you can do with articles
you can do with your opt-in form is take
the Google I'm sorry the Facebook pixel
and you take the pixel and you put it on
to your website okay the pixel you can
get it inside of your your ad manager
the pixel will allow you to start
creating an audience from the people
that visit your site so what you can do
is you can show ads only to those people
that are going to your site which is
great because if you're buying ads and
they come to your website
then it what happens is is Facebook will
grab that pixel and it'll create an
audience around that person so you can
re send them ads and they'll be really
targeted they'll be people that are
interested in what you're doing
so make sure you pixel on people on - on
your your website and you're creating an
audience with that that's really kind of
the first step to it now the second step
is is that if you're going to spend a
dollar then if you can break even like
get your dollar back with you know let's
say a tripwire offer where you have like
a low ticket off or like $7 or $17 and
then you have a couple upsells well if
you send a bunch of traffic and you get
a couple of those sales in the front end
you're not going to really make a ton of
money with those front end sales but
what you'll do is you'll make money with
the follow-up on the back end being able
to come into a webinar or your coaching
program that's that's a more big-ticket
item okay so you can that's where you're
really going to be making the money but
the but taking a dollar and getting back
your dollar and building an email list
at the same time is really kind of the
holy grail of marketing online if you
can do that you're going to be great so
that's why I recommend you send them to
an opt-in form where you give away some
type of free report because it does two
things that build your list and it
allows you to create a custom audience
with the pixel that's on that page so
you kind of get to whammies there you
get so then what you do is you can take
that custom audience create another ad
for it and have somebody go from that ad
to maybe a webinar with your high ticket
offer when you sell you know your
thousand dollars or two thousand three
thousand dollar product then that makes
up for all of the the kind of the losses
that you put into ads and when you start
selling higher ticket products bigger
ticket items then you start putting in a
dollar and you get back ten dollars it's
a very good system to do that alright
but just don't make sure you're just
throwing money at an ad and throwing it
wherever like a sale if you go straight
to a sales page you're absolutely going
to lose your money and you're going to
lose your shirt you're going to lose you
know money going into that it's just not
the way to go get them on a list that
way you can follow up and then send them
to your higher ticket product and if you
take cold traffic and you send them
straight to like your webinar and try to
get them closing on your your higher
ticket item I still think that that is
not
way to go I've tried it it's just it's
tough because you're going to be paying
really high prices and you don't really
know if your funnel is working okay what
I recommend is if you have a if you have
a good funnel that's working great try
it out but what I recommend is most
people that I coach and the students
that I have is they don't have a funnel
that's really working so I recommend
they starting out with a lower ticket
item start to go up the list build up
the audience and then you can retarget
them to a funnel and then you can test
the funnel because you'll have a better
audience it'll come there it will be
cold it can be warm traffic that will
come into your audience okay so comment
