free alright so here I am on 4th of July
bringing you another amazing video for
you and I want to talk to you about
creating your email list and how to
build it up for free now building up
your email list is a matter of just
opt-in form is just a place for somebody
to enter in their email and you give
away some type of something for free of
value could be a video could be a PDF
could be a blog post anything like that
anything of value that you want to
exchange for an email address that's
going to be an opt-in form that's how
you're going to get an email list or
email and that's how you're going to
grow your email list but it's getting
the traffic to your opt-in form that's a
challenge with so many people I mean
anybody can create an opt-in form and
anybody can create a a freebie or a
training and it's like that but getting
people to actually look at your freebie
offer get somebody there to exchange
their email address that's the challenge
that everybody runs into and so that's
what I want to talk to you about is
building that email list up now if
you're not really at a point where your
understanding about you build an email
list your email list it's going to be
the most important thing you do online
it's just a it's something that you own
that email list you know if you go to
Facebook and you create you know your
big profile of friends you don't own
that list
Facebook owns that list if they want to
decide to close you down and close down
your your Facebook account if you go to
Twitter and you build up a big count on
Twitter followers those are not your
followers those are Twitter's and if
they decide they want to close down your
account they can and you will lose all
those followers with your email address
you own that list so if you wanted to
take that list and move it to another
provider you can okay so you totally
have control of that list
and it's also one of the best ways to
market right now because everybody uses
email okay you if people say that email
is dead and it's in its the past need to
run away from those people they don't
know what they're talking about
okay so email marketing is going to be
the best thing for your business it's
going to help you propel your business
to the next level it's going to help you
communicate with people that are on your
list
talking about new products talking about
new services it's the way to build your
business okay but how do you build it up
well you do it two ways you pay for the
traffic comes to your opt-in form or you
do it free ways now free is going to
it's going to require a lot of work okay
with paid you can just pay the pay the
traffic and it goes there but with page
half you got to be really careful
because you could get bad traffic you
could spend a ton of money on traffic it
doesn't convert or you get traffic it's
really not legit traffic so you got to
really be careful with paid traffic but
this video is not about paid traffic
this video is about free traffic now
free traffic is where you use things
like social social media for free
traffic so if you post a link on your
Facebook wall and somebody clicks on
that they go to your opt-in form that's
free traffic if you have an article or a
blog post and it's inside of Google it's
listed in Google and Google ranks your
page and then Google people search on
Google and they click on your link and
go to your page and there's an opt-in
form there that is free traffic okay so
that's traffic that you have built up
and you're allowing these other third
party social media sites and search
engines to send that traffic to you okay
so that's going to be free traffic free
traffic is really going to be the one of
the best traffic's because it's really
it's free number one you don't pay for
it but it's going to be a lot of quality
traffic because people will you know if
they do a search they're actually
looking for something and if your link
comes up they come to your page they're
gonna be more engaged with your content
they need more engaged to jump on to
your email list okay a lot of times with
paid traffic it can be interruption
marketing you can be where somebody
comes there they're not real interested
in it but they put in their emails
anyways just to get on your list it
might not be as quality so free traffic
is going to be the way to go
but with free traffic I have to I have
to warn you that it requires a ton of
work okay it's something that you have
to be consistent with it every day but
what are the what are the different
places to really generate free traffic
well you have to really build up a
distribution channel in order to attract
this free traffic the first place could
be setting up a blog blog would be
something that you set up with WordPress
you set it up on
a hosting account and then you start
writing content you've got creating
content and then Google will index that
content into inside their search engine
and if people click on that they go to
your page they opt-in to your form
you're good okay so blogging right now
is going to a great way to generate free
traffic another way to generate free
traffic is going to be right here on
YouTube so YouTube would be a great
place to create videos like this and
then it below the video you'll have a
description you just tell people to
click on that link below this video and
that will give them more information
about your products or services but you
have to be consistent with it you can't
just put up one video one day and expect
the best or maybe through three or four
videos and think that's going to really
magically generate all this traffic it's
not going to work you have to be
consistent with it you have to be
constantly putting out new content now
eventually what happens is over six
seven eight months right you might be
thinking a long time but eventually what
happens is that free traffic starts to
really multiply and sorts of snowball
and it starts to really bring in some
big time trap to you and you start
building your list quickly and it starts
to grow and you start to with your list
growing your income grows life good
everybody is good okay so free traffic
right now is really going to be the best
way to get in somebody to your site and
get them up and running but you just got
to understand that it does take work
it's not going to be something that
happens overnight I mean like with paid
traffic if you got a ton of cash flow
floating around and you want to go put
up an add-on on Facebook you can do it
and you can you can drive all kinds of
traffic to your to your website but if
you if you spend all that money you got
to be able to convert that traffic it's
got to be able to get money back you
can't just invest ten thousand dollars
and not get at least back through ten
thousand dollars so you got to be able
to invest the money to make the money
back when you're doing free traffic
you're investing your time you're
investing your creativity with videos
and blog posts and things like that so
you're it's not like it's free but your
is you know you're actually taking money
and exchanging it for traffic okay if
