you're not familiar with YouTube well
you're on YouTube right now so you
should know about that
if you're not familiar with Adsense if
you see an ad before one of the videos
that you watch that's Adsense that's
connected to YouTube so there's people
from companies businesses everywhere
they go out there they run ads to put on
two channels and as you build your
channel as it grows as you add more
content you make more money let me just
show you some stats really quick I want
to just get out my trusty pen here show
you a little bit of what it what it
looked kind of looks like you have see
here alright so let me just show you
some stats on what this looks like so
you have a couple different
types of channels you have the fun
entertaining type channels and they're
not going to make as much money they're
gonna take a lot more views to get a lot
more money so with a gaming channel
entertainment channel like you know
something that entertains people then
the views aren't the views might be high
but the ad spends is not going to be as
great so this could be let's say a
dollar fifty per 1000 views now if you
have a channel that's that's educational
like channel like this educational where
you do reviews and where you do things
like that those are gonna be those are
gonna target advertisers a lot more so
with a a channel that's going to be
educating people that's going to be
teaching people how to z' how to do
things showing reviews of products those
are gonna get anywhere from like six
dollars per 1000 views okay so these are
views on a particular video you might be
thinking well that's a lot of views but
youtube you know there's you could get a
crazy amount of views on some of your
videos I mean some of my videos I get
thousands of views in in just a couple
hours on some of my videos so don't
think that the views aren't out there
they are out there and it's all you have
to do is build up your channel and to do
that so if you're looking at this you're
gonna be doing like 1.2 let's say 1.2
million views per month that's just per
per month okay this would give you then
fifteen hundred dollars so if you and
that's for entertainment videos gaming
you know cat videos dog videos things
like that that's gonna be you got you
need more views in order to make the
money if you have a educational video
educational channel that that there's a
lot of how to's and reviews then you're
looking at about 350 K okay 350 K views
okay
per month
and that would net you $1,500 okay so
you can see the difference in that and
I'll show you examples here in a second
but this is just show you what it looks
like
these are gonna be the numbers so you
get an idea of how do you build up that
channel and how do you get that going
all right so let me
adsense you just go to Google Adsense so
find Google Adsense on to go to Google
and just type in Google Adsense and you
can sign up for here if you already have
a youtube channel if you don't have a
YouTube channel you just got to get a
gmail account it's free and then you go
in and you can sign up for a YouTube
channel adsense is also free to sign up
all you have to do is just connect your
channel to the Adsense platform now
adsense has recently and YouTube has
recently put in some changes so you have
to have a thousand subscribers and I
believe four thousand views in a
calendar twelve months but as you start
to build up your channel as you start
adding more content you're going to gain
subscribers and you're going to gain
those views no problem you might look at
that think that's might a big milestone
it's really not that hard but most I
think it's a great plan because what it
does it allows people to work harder and
it just kind of keeps those people that
don't want to work hard now if you're
out there and you're you're struggling
you make $15 then you need to start
creating videos you need to start
creating content and getting it out
there let's look at some channels and
I'll just show you differences between
the two so Casey nice that it's got to
be one of the biggest channels out there
on YouTube 9 million subscribers but the
thing with Casey's channel is he doesn't
do a lot of keyword research he doesn't
do a lot of you know he doesn't do a lot
of just things like he does a lot of
v-log and things like that his even
though that he has gets millions and
millions of views on his videos he's
going to be making great money but he's
going to be in that entertainment type
category where it's gonna take a lot
more views in order to make more money
because advertisers aren't going to
really advertise a lot on his channel
just because of it's just not going to
bring in the revenue that they want it's
gonna offset their cost for advertising
so here's another example Tiger
productions this is all about you know
animal compilations QT animals fail
compilations things like that this is
this is in an entertainment category ok
in this channel even though they have
two million subscribers and probably get
like here yesterday had 47,000 views
they're not going to be making that much
money with this channel just because
advertisers aren't going to want to put
ads in front of their videos okay it's
just an example of you're gonna have to
do a lot in order to make not that much
alright so when you go forward you want
to think about this okay what kind of
channel am I going to be creating what
kind of niche would I be getting into
and just know that going ahead of times
because you might think well I have to
do great videos with this but
advertisers aren't going to pay as much
on that now here's an example of great a
couple Gamble's of great channels cater
has a great channel 67,000 subscribers
he is gonna crush it because he does a
lot of educational videos a lot of
things on how to and how to do things
online he's going to crush it with his
stats another one is gonna be think
media think media is gonna crush it with
their ads because advertisers are going
to want to come to this channel like
crazy okay because what he does is he
puts reviews of cameras and reviews of
just different all kinds of different
products okay just you name it anything
tech and he is putting stuff up here
it's a great channel I really enjoy this
channel a lot and I go back to it a lot
and when people go back to a lot and
they watch it and they stick around then
what happens is is advertisers cling to
that channel they spend more so I know
that think media probably makes way more
money than this Tiger productions I mean
I can guarantee there's probably it's
probably five times more the amount of
income from this channel okay so think
about that going forward if you do a
review type channel like this you're
gonna absolutely crush it with your
income and then here's another one
TechnoBuffalo they have 1.4 million
subscribers they are all about techno
technical stuff I know they are crushing
it with ads because it's all about
educational on this channel it's it's
about reviews of different products you
know phones and and you name it all
kinds of tech gear Apple Android
anything they're gonna make a video
about it and they're going to absolutely
rush it I mean you can see 200,000 views
in the last three days that's huge I
know they're probably you know with with
200,000 views they could be making you
think six dollars six dollars times
200,000 I guess or divide 200,000 by six
dollars that's gonna give you the amount
of money that they're probably making on
that ad just by putting that up now all
of these channels they all started with
zero they all started with zero people
they all started with zero so I mean
zero subscribers zero views everything
so when you build a channel think about
the niche you're gonna get into think
about where are you gonna start with
that and where you're gonna move forward
you can start a video channel right here
right today there's no excuse why you
couldn't get started okay anywhere in
the world doesn't matter you can start a
YouTube channel start making videos now
how you gonna do it you got two ways you
can just create videos from your
smartphone I know you have a smartphone
you probably watching this channel and
this video on a smartphone you could
take that smartphone turn it around
create a video about about whatever and
throw it up on to YouTube just remember
if you're making entertainment type
videos it's gonna take a lot longer time
in order to you to start doing you know
start making the money if you have a
smartphone right now and you have
products around your house do reviews of
those products okay that's gonna be how
to stuff if you have ScreenFlow or if
you have Camtasia on your computer you
can do screen capture just like this and
that's going to be educational it's
gonna be how to's you can show things
how to do things online you absolutely
crush it when you do that you're gonna
get tons of views tons of subscribers
and advertisers are going to love it now
you look at my channel here there's I
use a Chrome extension called let me see
you know I got a room on refresh this
vid IQ okay vid IQ is a free extension
you can get on Chrome now with vid IQ it
gives you a lot of stats on channels
that you come to ok so you can come here
to techno techno buffalo let's see here
are the stats and it'll give you stats
on their channel what's working for them
because when you're building your
channel go out there and find other
channels that are similar to yours
find out what's what's working for them
I mean you can look at
you know I subscribe to about over a
hundreds of different channels that I'm
that I go through and I watch and I just
see what they're doing see how they're
doing it see what kind of videos they're
there they're putting together and then
model some of my videos on based on what
I see out there and what I like okay and
what I know obviously because I'm going
to teach you guys how to do that but use
vid IQ for this and you can see that
when you click on this stats it'll show
you the stats for this channel right
here and it'll just give you all kinds
of good details that you could use in
order to model what you're going to be
doing you can model some of the best
videos they do some of the best content
they put out there just model what they
do create a video around it and you will
do great for that now let's just take a
look at what our stats so my stats like
this what the most important thing that
I really focus on is going to be watch
time because number one watch time is
going to be what YouTube and all the
different you know all the different
companies that come and spend the money
on ads they're looking at watch time so
if somebody starts a video from if your
videos five minutes and somebody watches
four minutes and 50 seconds of that
video that's a long watch time that's a
very good video and what happens is when
those videos get watched a long time
then YouTube's going to suggest that
video it's going to put that video into
the suggestions part and then you're
going to get more advertisers and you
get more subscribers if you're look if
your watch time and people are only
watching like 30 seconds of your video
and it's five minutes long something's
wrong something's you know something's
getting people off your video you're not
getting people to watch the whole entire
video so look at the watch time from
your videos and then when you focus on
just that that's gonna be your indicator
of success on your channel and how you
can move forward with that everything
else doesn't really matter and in fact
subscribers doesn't even matter these
days you could have you know 10,000
subscribers and be crushing it's okay as
long as your watch time is great with
your videos doesn't matter but as your
watch time increases your
get better then you're going to gain
more subscribers and the subscribers are
going to come to your channel a lot more
okay so that's all you need you need a
YouTube channel Adsense and you just
need to figure out what kind of content
that you want to start creating and once
you start creating that content you
start putting these videos up and you be
consistent with it I'm going to repeat
that be consistent with it be consistent
on a daily consistent basis and bring
content to the you know what to YouTube
you're gonna see your increase stats if
you only put up a few videos for a
couple of weeks and then you stop you're
not gonna really get any traction
YouTube's not going to give you any love
and they're not gonna help build your
channel YouTube wants to help build your
channel but you have to be consistent
with you have to be creating an audience
and help build that audience as you're
built as your audience builds more ads
if you put on your videos you're gonna
be making more money your money's gonna
start increasing every month as it
continues to grow with your channel
