okay what is up this is Tyler Pratt with
Tyler Pratt comm and in this video I
want to give you three simple steps to
making money with your blog alright so
you want to start making money with your
blog I know that maybe you've got online
maybe start a blog and start making
money with it maybe you have a blog I
want to kind of give you some strategies
on how to set this up because you know
I've been blogging for quite a long time
I started my very first blog back in I
think 2009 wasn't when I first started
my first blog and I've just been kind of
blogging here and there throughout the
years but recently the last couple years
I've really gotten to the point where
I'm vlogging every day and I'm just
adding that to my overall marketing
strategy so there's really three things
you want to make sure we're doing when
you're trying to make money online and
you're trying to use blogging as the
vehicle to do that first thing you want
to do is make sure if you're going to
start a blog you want to that you got to
do it on your own hosting account don't
do it don't do one of those free
blogging sites like you know like
blogger calm or WordPress calm those
those not really good now if you want to
play with those and test those out
that's fine but you got to get your own
hosting account so hosting account would
be Hostgator very simple easy setup and
just sign up you get a domain and you're
up and running and all you have to do is
set up WordPress on there it's very
simply you just click on the WordPress
if you have problems figuring that out
just go to youtube and type in or you
know like YouTube just disturb search
install WordPress on Hostgator account
okay so Hostgator comm is one of the
hosts that I like to send people to
because it's it's very easy to set up
it's very you know it's very economical
to get going now once you get that
hosting setup you have WordPress and now
you control your own website okay so
nobody can take that away so like with
WordPress com
if they don't like what you're posting
they could just delete your account ok
blogger.com doesn't like what you're
posting they could just delete your
account and if you spend a couple of
years blogging and then all of a sudden
some you know $10 intern at
wordpress.com corporate you know
the corporate office decides it they
don't like a post that you created they
just lead to your account you've wasted
two years of your life okay so when you
get your own hosting account you own it
you control it nobody can take it away
from you
Hostgator can shut you down but you
still own the data you can take the data
you can move it somewhere else so you're
not out of it and they you own the
domain name so nobody could take the
domain from you you own it you can move
it you can do whatever you want with it
you own the data okay it'll never closed
down you have to worry about it closing
down that's the most important thing
with blogging I see a lot of people do
those frees blogging and is crazy so get
that set up and get that up and running
the second thing is is you want to make
sure your blogging daily you got to make
sure that every day you've got to put up
some content but don't just put up any
content don't just throw up piece of
content around whatever it is go to
Google and do some searches okay each
day go to Google type in something that
has to do with your industry that has to
do with your niche has to do with where
it is you're trying to do and just type
in some keywords now when what I like to
do is that I go to the very bottom of
the search results and there's going to
be some there's a search box it has some
suggestions okay those suggestions are
longtail keywords and what I like to do
is I like to create content around those
longtail keywords and so what I do that
then Google is going to it's going to
come to my site they're going to see
that content they're going to see that
that longtail keyword it's at the bottom
of a suggestion and they're going to
rank my site you know that particular
blog post inside of Google for that long
tail keyword okay so when you do that
then now you're you're attracting google
blogging you know blogging it's you know
you can do it for fun you can do it for
journaling whatever you want to do it
but if you're really serious about
making money you should be doing it
to try to get the attention of Google
that's all you should be doing you
should be blogging to try to get ranked
inside of Google if you if you're just
doing it for fun and hobby you know
that's fine but you're never really
going to make any serious money with it
if you want to step up and start making
some income you got to get the traffic
from Google to your blog posts and from
your blog post out to your you know
affiliate links and that's what brings
me to step number three and that is to
when you're creating a content you want
to have links inside of that content
that go out to affiliate offers so
example and and in the blog post that I
created here on this video there's a
link to Hostgator now I don't have an
affiliate link set up on Hostgator but
Hostgator has an affiliate offer program
so where if you send somebody from your
blog post and they click on your
affiliate link they go to Hostgator and
they sign up you get a percentage of
that okay so that's how you can make
money with your blog now you can go to
places like Clickbank
or you can go to offer vault and you can
find all kinds of different affiliate
programs and you can find all kind of
different offers to where you can
incorporate them into your blog post so
if you write a blog post and you can
have links in there that link out to
affiliate offers when those affiliates
offers go out somebody buys a product
you make a sale from that that's how
you're really going to be making the big
money because you're going to number one
attract Google to your blog okay and
then once people get there they're going
to read through your blog and they're
going to click on your recommendations
inside the blog to go to the affiliate
offers and that's going to be the big
money now you can also put up banners on
the side over there you can also put
some popups up what I recommend you
doing is you building an email list so
use the side banners to - you know get
people onto your email list that way you
can follow up with them through email
you know marketing is going to be the
number one source of income for you so I
recommend that you focus solely on email
