many of you will know who Doug is for
those you that don't know who Doug is
Doug is an Amazon affiliate expert he's
created many successful Amazon affiliate
sites and he also provides training in
everything to do with Amazon affiliate
one area that we get asked a lot of
questions about on our live streams and
in the comments and wire email is around
keyword research finally know what
keywords is an essential part of setting
up an affiliate website because it
enables you to create some good content
that will rank and that people are
actually looking for online so in this
playlist we're going to be covering all
sorts of things around keyword research
including the tools that you need to use
how you should put together some content
sort of keywords that you shouldn't be
going for and all sorts of things that
will enable you to find some really good
keywords that you can then create some
content around and that hopefully you
can then rank for on Google and when it
comes to ranking on Google Doug has come
up with a fantastic formula that enables
you to identify which keywords have a
good chance of ranking on Google quickly
and easily it's called the keyword
golden ratio and I think Doug will be
the best person to explain it so over to
you Doug thanks Alex this is going to be
an awesome playlist I'm very excited to
get started so right now let me tell you
about the keyword golden ratio the
keyword golden ratio is a data-driven
way to find keywords that basically are
underserved on the internet the formula
that makes up the keyword golden ratio
goes like this
so the kgr I'll just call it that the
kgr equals the number of all in title
results divided by the local monthly
searches where right so this is
important the local monthly searches
need to
the below 250 okay and the all in title
results it's actually pretty easy to
find so all in title is an advanced
Google search command so you just go to
the search bar you type in all in titles
all one word : and then you enter in
your keyword phrase usually it's you
know several words long you don't use
any quotes or anything like that you
just type in all in title colon and then
your search phrase okay that's all you
have to do and basically you'll get some
number of results
hopefully it's not that many now the
ratio that you're looking for is less
than 0.25 so if you take the pollen
title number of results and divide it by
the local monthly search volume and that
equals 0.25 or less then you're in good
shape that's a keyword golden ratio of
kgr compliant keyword and here's the
magic right if you publish a piece of
content that's kgr compliant then it
should rank in the top 50 maybe even 30
within a few hours of being indexed I
mean this works really well and is
really a supply and demand situation
what you're finding is a situation where
there are more searches per month for a
particular term than there are pages on
the internet that actually target that
term so remember the kgr is all in title
results divided by the local monthly
search volume where the local monthly
search volume is less than 250 in the
next video I'm gonna share some success
stories of people just like you who
implemented the keyword golden ratio on
their Amazon affiliate sites and got
great success and I'm gonna go through a
demo of actually finding a couple
keyword golden ratio keywords and using
a spreadsheet I have a spreadsheet that
is freely available so be sure to check
