make drop shipping and in the same time
affiliate in my webstore oh yeah you
could I'm not sure why you would um but
maybe for example you've created a piece
of content for your drop shipping store
and you want to talk about some products
that you don't personally sell on your
site then you might there might be an
opportunity to insert some affiliate
links there you got any thoughts on this
Doug my my thought would be technically
yeah like you said sure it can be done
but what's the real driver like are you
thinking hey I want to make more money
and then I would I would say hey if
you're not making money in your first I
guess your first objective the first
project your drop shipping in like try
and figure out why that's not working
adding more things to what you're trying
to do probably is just gonna make you
feel overwhelmed and you'll probably
make no progress in both areas and you
may add another one and then you'll make
no progress there you'll feel like
you're not doing anything so I would say
like just work on one single thing like
make that work and then you can add
another layer later on yeah good advice
I've done some stuff from drop shipping
before drop shipping is in my opinion a
lot more work and a lot more expense
when it comes to you know setting
everything up finding the right products
running advertising that kind of thing
personally if I was looking to make
money online my first venture would be
just purely on in affiliate marketing
yep for sure
commit I purchase booze own because of
you Thank You Sal I go I force you into
it okay okay for you I need a good thing
for selling hunting equipment all the
themes I'm using they're difficult to
use and the layouts aren't very good so
Dan you can use any theme with razón
that is wound commerce compatible
there's a few on my channel that I've
used I've use Kingdom have you tried
that that's the one that is made by the
same people that made blue zone so it
kind of fits very well there's flat
'some which is a WooCommerce team and
there's X theme now X theme might be the
best one for you by the way you can find
it if you follow my link which is WP

find it that's an affiliate link thanks
very much if you use it X theme is very
flexible it allows you to create lots
and lots of different layouts so I'm
sure that you've got to find a layout
that works for you and you can also
import the demo content so there's kind
of some pre-built layouts that you can
use and then you just change the colors
as your logo and you should be able to
get it looking as you want to that's
good yes then I see another question
that came in GX games yes is there a way
to do drop shipping with that investment
you know an autopilot in I'll tell you
off the bat I don't know much about drop
shipping but I know there's nothing that
you can do this worthwhile that doesn't
require investment and that is on
autopilot so I'll tell you that so if
you think there is some kind of shortcut
good luck finding it because I don't
time and/or money if it's worthwhile so
Alex yeah I say I have ventured into
jump shipping because probably because
you've seen some videos around YouTube
if that's what you're thinking that
there's a quite a lot of ads so I see in
front of my own videos and on other guys
channels there's some from alex becker
and a couple other guys and they kind of
just say hey look I've got this product
I'm gonna dropship it and you know we're
making a thousand pound a day
within a week and it just isn't that
easy in my opinion because you have to
take time investing time and money in in
the ads in finding the product setting
up a website on Shopify
adding plugins
working out which parts of your ads are
working so there's a lot of time and
money involved when you do get it
working and you hit the sweet spot and
you found a good product and you've got
some good ads that are working then yeah
it will kind of work on autopilot but
even so you still need to either get you
know some consultants or subcontractors
to help you manage your site and that
kind of thing so yeah there's no
autopilot get-rich-quick scheme
unfortunately no in like you know Alex
Becker who I I don't know personally or
anything but he is a great marketer
super smart businessman but the the
thing is a lot of times if you see a
case study where someone's like we did
this it was very low investment and
we'll show you how we did it they
probably have five to ten years
experience doing that it's not their
first time around so like the learning
curve for a beginner is much steeper and
much more difficult so you know alex is
a super smart businessman so it's not
his first time setting up a dropshipping
site and I would expect him to be able
to execute that like pretty well so yeah

our WordPress site I'm guessing you're
asking it what's the best way to learn
how to defeat boxing with a wordpress
site I'm just guessing and there's a
number of ways you can learn and the
first way there's some free ways you can
go onto YouTube and watch lots of videos
about it and you know some are better
than others and they're not always gonna
give you the structure the second way is
obviously you can buy some training
courses and I'm nearly putting together
some content very soon we're going to be
recommending some training courses doug
has got a training course that he's got
coming out really soon I've had a look
at it and it is quite exciting so stay
tuned and subscribe to my channel and
Doug shellow to make sure that you kept
in the loop about that but a lot of
times there's only so much learning you
can do by watching videos you need to
get to a certain point where you've
watched a video to maybe on the first
bit you know how to do some keyword
research and that
I think then you actually have to go
away and do it and see how you get on
and then try and learn from what you've
done and kind of evolved from there you
got any points on this done no I mean if
I could regurgitated just said but I
think that covered it pretty well yeah

up Brandon are using sites like offer
vault better than using Amazon it's just
different right so I'm actually not a
hundred percent sure what offer vault is
I assume it's another affiliate type
program but you know Amazon is great
that's where I focus all my effort
basically Amazon converts so well and
there's so many products and the big
advantages say you know we have the
holidays coming up it's it's just almost
October now but October November
December like probably 50% of the
revenue and income from my niche sites
is going to come because people are
buying gifts around the holidays and
people buy a whole lot of stuff and you
know revenue like doubles triples like
10x depending on you know the site and
how much traffic it gets but basically
Amazon converts better than many other
you know affiliate offer platforms so
yeah everyone's familiar with Amazon
they're they're comfortable shopping
there so you know that that challenge is
already kind of done if people go to a
site they're not familiar with them you
know they have to trust it before
they're going to convert okay and so
there was a good question here I just
saw from Lee Henderson he asks if you
have a good niche site say you've got a
dot-com and maybe you say a dot uk' site
with the language and products targeted
to each market would you suffer from
duplicate content doing that so say you
you gotta calm and maybe it's targeting
the US market then you want to do one
for the UK and what would you recommend
on that front Doug okay so I'm not a
hundred percent sure but I will say I
would be a little bit nervous about the
duplicate content and I would probably
just set up one of those probably the
dot-com and then set up Amazon one link
and that is a plug-in essentially that
Amazon has that allows you to target the
us-canadian in the UK versions of Amazon
Associates in it you know geo routes the
link in geo routes the user back to
those you know english-speaking Amazon
associate programs so you get credit for
it so the overall so putting all that
together the doc I would just set up the
dot-com and just go with it that way I
don't think you would get a big
advantage by just going for or setting
up separate sites plus you have the
potential duplicate content which could
be an issue okay yeah that makes sense
question from WTF what's the best
products that have no competition and
sell well so I can make a blog and rank
on Google easily well I think we know
the other staff we all need if we knew
that we'd all be millionaires with me
you've got to do your research and no
one's going to tell you what the best
products are or the best niches which
I'm going to condition because they're
probably using them for them themselves
and you got to find them yourself you
can learn a lot about how to find the
good niches but if someone's telling you
and each to go into then it's probably
too late already
yeah and I would say look up a video
that I did on the keyword golden ratio
it's like a data-driven way to find
keywords it's manual right you have to
find I mean like it takes work it takes
time to find it but those are literally
very low competition in that ratio gives
you a pretty good idea that you could
rank it and by the way you can like
publish an article and then rank it
usually in the top 50 in like under 24
hours so like if you find it like test
it just do one and then you'll see that
it works and then find more and then
you'll see that I'm not telling the
story but yeah test it it definitely
works okay that's good
Adrian says would you guys recommend to
me
my hosting from a cheap one to something
more expensive like wpengine
that depends I'd really it depends once
your site starts getting some momentum
over you getting a bit of traffic or
you're building out a big site and
you've got a lot of pages maybe a lot of
products of you doing a WooCommerce type
site then I would recommend something
like WP engine now I've got sites with
Hostgator which is also the cheaper end
of the market and I've got science with
WP engine the difference is noticeable
in terms of the speed and performance
you get but obviously the cost is also
quite different you know we're talking
three or four bucks a month for
Hostgator and you're talking at least
twenty-five bucks a month for WP engine
and the support and things you get on WP
engine is excellent and their system is
really good I mean it has all the
caching and everything built in so you
do get a really fast site straight off
the bat you don't have to mess around
too much for plugins so the old adage
that you get what you pay for is true
the more you spend the better hosting
you'll get but you know if you've just
starting up a site and it's not getting
much traffic and you're still kind of
finding your feet in terms of what
you're doing
Hostgator is fine and then when the time
is right you can then just move your
site over to something a little bit more
hefty if you need to it is a quick
baseline I would say if you're getting
maybe like five hundred to a thousand
unique visitors a day like that's
probably the time that you need to look
at moving your hosting yeah alright
Karl's asks if I heard of Amazon
shutting down shutting down accounts
without much notice yeah I have but it's
usually because of some kind of Terms of
Service violation there's some issue so
as long as you follow the rules then you
should be fine two of the biggest things
that people do that get them banned is
listing prices on the site like you
can't list prices on the site unless
those prices are pulled from the Amazon
API or pulling images directly from
Amazon and then uploading them onto your
site you need to use the Amazon API in
both of those cases that will keep you
out of trouble and basically it's a
customer experience for the pricing they
don't want you to like list $99
and then the price goes up like a year
later and user goes over to Amazon and
it's like 125 that's a bad experience
they don't want that to happen number
one and then for the images it's a
copyright thing like amazon can't give
the rights to the images which the
manufacturer provide so basically you
just have to follow those two main rules
there's others too but those are the two
most common reasons yeah last Germany
and from my front I've heard of people
getting refused if you just use wasone
and you just import load of products
from Amazon and basically you just set
up a copy of an Amazon site and you
don't have any value by creating some
good content or adding your own reviews
or videos that kind of thing that you
are then at risk of getting yeah your
Amazon account will shut down you can
always go back to them after you know
adjusted your site and added some
content and made it a little bit better
and reapply again and you know second
time locking it for sure cause come back
quickly there with is cloud hosting
better and faster yeah generally it is
it's like the next level up of hosting I
think it's then that your site is
distributed across multiple servers and
that kind of stuff so generally is
faster it's also slightly more expensive
Germany yep next Hashim says is it legal
to use product and product images from
other stores and then use it in your
shop no like that basically you can't
just use other people's stuff so people
own the copyrights to their images and
you can't just use it you can ask for
permission right you can email the a
manufacturer find out if you can use
their images get that in writing that
you're able to use those images but you
can't steal people's intellectual
property which is you know taking their
images yeah yeah be really careful with
images with Amazon obviously they every
as we just spoke about they do give you
the right to use the images providing
you follow their guidelines which is
using the API which actually means that
the image is still hosted on Amazon so
if it was to change it would
automatically update on your site which
is what they want if you sign up as an
affiliate with other merchants and other
companies and they have products they
might provide you with a whole pack of
images that you can use
but yeah if there's an image that you
want to use that's for the company that
you're promoting just just ask them and
say you know I'm looking to promote your
product can I use your images and I'm
sure they'll be fine as long as you ask
them first on another note regarding
images if you're creating blog content
and you need some images from maybe an
article you're writing again just be
very careful with where you get those
images from it's not okay just to go
into Google and do a search for you know
picture of whatever you're looking for
and then just rip it straight off Google
and stick it into your blog you can get
in trouble especially if that image
belongs to a large company like Getty
Images or someone like that they will
come looking for you and I've had this
it was a long time ago now but a long
time ago I used to create websites
people and I used to do that I used to
go out onto the Internet just take
images from wherever I fancied and stick
them and then I started getting letters
from lawyers and people like that for
Getty Images saying you use this image
without a brush in your is $4,000 that
kind of thing which can be quite scary
so just be very careful but there is a
tip if you go onto Google Image Search
and click on tools in there you can
filter various things when it comes to
images and one of those filters is you
should usage rights and you can ask
Google just to serve images that you are
allowed to use so the selection is often
not as good as the kind of standard in
research but if you do that then you
should be okay there's nothing rather
free image size but just make sure that
you double check absolutely you know
everything regarding permission of use
and quick note someone was asking for

ratio lookup buyers keywords right you
want to make sure that you're getting
people that actually want to buy
something and then go from there it just
looks like pretty light amount of
comment or a light amount of content on
your site just clicking around really
quickly okay that's good

Z I guess you're talking about kind of
merchants who you can promote as an
affiliate so we've been through some of
the big ones Amazon and if you're in the
states I think and shops like Target and
all those big guys they all have an
affiliate program so you can promote
them if you're looking for smaller guys
the first thing to do if you already
know the company and you're on the
website if you scroll down to the footer
area of that site there's often an
affiliate link there and then you just
fill in a form sign up and then you're
good to go
other places you can check out are
affiliate networks so just like
commission junction
CJ comm I think it is and affiliate
window and Clickbank they're all places
where there's many merchants and many
products and you just sign up the one so
then you can apply to join all these
other programs and it's a great place to
you know to do some research and find
products that are in the niche that
you're thinking of going to have you got
any tips on that dog in terms of finding
delicious I know you Premier Li do
Amazon but I would just look at the big
ones I would look at Clickbank for like
info product type stuff and then share a
sale like if you can't find it and those
like Amazon and there's other two that I
just mentioned then you should like you
should widen your you're like acceptable
areas cuz it like there's so many
products that you can sell across those
three that like you should be fine
forever okay Adrian is saying he says
hey Doug I know you don't like Fiverr
but is it really bad to use writers from
there's you're just starting okay
just to be clear fiber is great I use
Fiverr force
things fibers really bad for link
building so people are trying to like
build links to their site using Fiverr
and they're trying to pay like five
bucks and they're expecting to make like
$100 or $1,000 a month with this five
dollar investment that's why you know
fiber is not good for link building for
content fiber could be okay I will say
that if you're paying five dollars for
your content it's probably not gonna be
that good so Alex talked about it before
you get what you pay for if you're
putting in five bucks you're not
probably not gonna get good content I
could be wrong but you're probably going
to end up wasting more time so the point
is you should probably like upgrade your
gig so if you go to Fiverr and you're
trying to find writers you should
probably pay like you know 10 15 20
bucks for a thousand words or so which
is basically without pay on a place like
up work so yeah so it's not a huge
amount more it's just a bit more to get
that bit of quality that's going to pay
you off dividends in the long run I
don't use anything on Fiverr if I can
help it I just don't think the quality
is there that you need right so let's go

where your site is pulling in images
remotely using the API and putting them
straight off Amazon which is what those

work with people that have got a mother
sites you've had Amazon site yourself
right what's the everybody range it is
it's like the full range so there's some
people that are just starting out
they're making you know 10 15 20 bucks a
month okay and then there's other people
that are making like forty thousand
fifty thousand dollars a month and they
have you know four or five sites so
really the range will blow your mind and
those are just the people that I know
that are like in my mastermind group
that are like people that talked to me
I'm sure there's other people that are
making like eighty thousand dollars a
month they're making like a million
dollars a year but I don't hang out with
people that are at that level right now
yet yeah yeah not yet we just haven't
worked up to that level so basically you
can make way more than you think when I
got started on this by the way just to
digress
like I I listen to smart passive income
I met some people that were starting a
niche site I formed a small mastermind
group and I met with these people I had
not started this site yet and basically
there was this guy that was really
advanced I was super impressed I went to
my wife after the first meeting I said
this guy has been doing this for a
couple years he has like three websites
he makes $3 a day like he really knows
his stuff that was four years ago and I
was like three bucks a day like that
that's a game I mean that's you know
that's 100 bucks a month basically and I
was like that's cool like he's making a
hundred bucks a month and you fast
forward now I'm doing much better than
that but like it takes just like a
little bit of proof and then you're good
to go
so don't limit yourself by thousands per
month you can do tens of thousands per
month yeah that's exactly same my
experience
I mean me personally I started and I
started learning you know a few bucks a
day has like said and that blew my mind
because I could you know wake up in the
morning and I've you know five pounds
and I've been asleep and it's like wow I
don't even have to do any work that's
amazing now I'm going to see a lot
higher on that level and you know my
income is it's good but equally some of
the guys that have watched my tutorials
on my channel the range from them is you
know some of them are quite happy with
just earning you know 100 bucks a month
and they're building it up and others
have done even better than that and
they're up to four or five hundred a
month and they're thinking about
creating more sites or building this
building on the sites they've already
created so there is no limit it's all
down to how much work you're going to
put in how many sites you're going to
create and the sort of niches you move
in the sort of products you promote and
and really yet the money it takes a
while to get obviously good money and
all all good affiliates you know it
didn't happen overnight for them the
ones that are earning you know ten
thousand a month or 100,000 it didn't
happen overnight there was a lot of work
involved and a lot of learning but it
can be done and yeah there is no limit
they got excellent techs just popped up
I believe one of my viewers here in 100
bucks this month he's over the moon
that's great news awesome Congrats

article per day a thousand words you're
aiming for 20 or 30 articles and then
you let google find it how many
backlinks should I have all right that's
cool that's a good plan
I would say just capping it like 20 then
focus on your backlink stuff Carl and I
would say your question how many
backlinks should you have as many as you
can get I recommend doing guest posting
and blog commenting sort of that one-two
punch just keep it simple if you do that
you focus on that for like 90 days
guarantee you'll have some good traction
and as I mentioned before I wouldn't try
to like buy links from Fiverr or any
kind of like cheap source where you're
trying to like pay money to solve a
problem like backlinks because those are
just going to be low-quality if it was
worthwhile it wouldn't cost $5 so that's
the simple rule yeah
all right we got one that is for you
Alex basically so what's the best WP
theme for an affiliate sites what do you
think I think I've been through this
before it depends on the type of site
you're going to be creating so if you're
creating a blog site there's a number of
great blog themes available and Doug
likes to keep it nice and simple because
you want to focus on your content and
I'm actually in the process of recording
a video right now where I'm using a free
theme which there are many just to
search on Google for you know best free
blog themes for WordPress and you'll
find lists and lists of them
there's loads of great ones and they all
worked really well just for showing off
your content because that's where your
feelings going to be you can be going
down the e-commerce sort of site then
any wounds own or weak commerce theme is
fine
I recommend flats women Kingdom and X
theme but yeah don't worry too much
about the theme really as long as you
can find one that's fairly lightweight
easy to work with and has the look and
feel that you're after you'll be fine
it's a memory it's all about your
content yep for sure and I was gonna say
it on the area of free themes like I
know Alex last time we talked you
mentioned like hey some free themes like
the security could be bad that may not
be kept up to date blah blah blah
totally true so the free themes that
I've used before like the first 10k that
I made online back in 2013 it was on
WordPress 2012 right doesn't get more
basic than that I mean just straight us
the one that comes with WordPress yeah
and like they put one out each year and
it's fast it's clean it's put out by
automatic you know they're keeping those
up to date so I would yeah that's good
there is a word warning with free themes
you do have to do your research some of
them are well supported but you've got
to think about you know why has someone
created a great three theme for me
there's been you know stories in the
past where they've been like kind of
hiding links within the theme that kind
of stuff their own SEO purposes so
generally I would always recommend a
premium theme the video I'm recording
the moment I'm doing one with a free
theme just because you guys kept asking
you know I get a question every day how
can I create an affiliate site without
having to buy a plug-in with a town to
buy a theme so I'm going to show you how
to do that but hey maybe I should just
did use the twenty twelve theme that
might be the

search engines to crawl you're correct
there Lee they are very good to have
there's some videos on my site I saw you
on my channel about how to create an XML
sitemap using the Yoast SEO plugin and
then how to submit it to Google you
should definitely do that on all your
websites but yes is it still worth to
having a HTML sitemap on your site I
don't see them use so much or discussed
as much as these to me personally I
would recommend you have a HTML sitemap
definitely it's good for Google and
other search engines and other callers
to come in and be able to see the
structure of your site it's also useful
for people now and again you know real
humans that visit your site if they look
I'm saying they may visit the HTML
sitemap it's not a lot of work some
themes have have been built in and
there's definitely a plug-in again I've
got a video on this on the channel a
free plugin that will generate your HTML
sitemap which is basically a page on
your site which lists all of your posts
all your pages and all of your products
if you've got them as well what's your
thoughts on a HTML sitemap dope do you
add them to your site no I mean I guess
it doesn't hurt anything you're right
you know what occasionally I will end up
understanding them like I can't find
what I'm looking for and they'll have a
site like an HTML sitemap and I actually
do use it but I think I'm probably weird
in a lot of ways that's yeah ok the end
of day probably should only take you
five minutes or so to create that page
it's another page having the site it
makes you slightly look a little bit
more professional and you got that
slight map link in your footer so I just
say why not if you can if you've got the
time and you know how to do it which you
should be able to do because you can
watch my video ok so excellent exit
yesterday I used a fiver service and I
bought 40 low-quality edge you and
doctor gov links electon linked
immediately on top five
you mean you ranked immediately in the
top faster getting those links that
would be very interesting if you did let
us know my clan but I would think even
if you did that ranking could be
short-term if you because you don't know
exactly where those things came from
yeah yep that's exactly right and I can
tell you by the way the reason why I
don't use like PB ends private blog
networks or other like low quality links
is because I did in the past I was
sloppy and aggressive and I made a lot
of money but I also got penalized
multiple times and over multiple years
and I'm like hey that game's not for me
I got more time I don't need to be in a
hurry so yeah I would be nervous about
those kind of links and especially if
you just hit a hundred bucks this month
and now you're if you're putting like
these sort of a risky links that would
probably make me nervous

we would recommend that you don't do
that by then you've got to run that's

quite sure you're talking about an old
PB Ennis but again a PB n is I know a
lot of affiliates use them and they have
a little success for them but to me they
are a little bit of a risky thing in
terms of they are gray hair it's not
black hair what's your thoughts on PB
ends I think we've talked about this
before don't yep so I think they can
work really well actually they do work
really well but they are riskier and you
have to you know if you're building your
own network it's a lot of work it's a
significant investment in time and money
and then it's it's basically it's not
fun to run a network I once had a

creating content and as original as we
want to be like we're usually we're
usually not but the key thing that you
have to do is get multiple sources right
so if you get multiple sources and you
put it together it's unique and you know
and you're not like copying they're like
the work and you do need go read the
article first so no you said you didn't
read it but come read the article it's
really good it's on a giraffe's I did a
guest post there and basically you're
taking like the best content like the
best ten pieces of content and you're
curating it you're consolidating it and
then you're putting your own spin on it

putting together your own unique piece
