the blog so here's my articles I've
launched the site with ten articles
following my own best practice advice
this time then we just got a footer at
the bottom and if we click through to
the blog here we go so yeah I've got ten
articles that I've had written for me I
found a write-up with effect if Karl's
on his column I can't see Carl tonight
but it was a writer that Carl
recommended to me a writer that he found
on up work and yeah they provided me
some pretty good content let's take a
look so all the articles are at least
1500 words were roughly 1500 words some
of them are a little bit shorter
actually because I had to tidy them up a
little bit so this one's all about night
time dog walking so it's got a bit of
information in the in the article so
we've got 10 tips for safe nighttime dog
walking then we talk about some gear and
that's where I'm linking through to
different products which are all on the
site so here we go this reflective dog
leash if we click on this link here it
takes you through does an interesting
image it's not quite right but hey if
that is the product let's try the next
one the site is really only one life
today so there's still a few little
things I need to iron out yeah there's
the LaRue flashing one and yeah all
seems to be working working well so it's
run the latest version of who's own and

I didn't see their so yeah Cole shared
with me the writer I've been asked her
to anything recently but yes she's been
really good ten articles I had them
within a week or so and to be fair I had
to do a little bit of tidying up bit of
formatting but it's kind of expected I
guess ideally you'd get you know a kind
of editor or something for your site
that would be the way to outsource it I
know that's what Doug does there's a
writer create the articles anyhow
someone else go through and add them to
the site and you have format them all so
this one's all about puppy potty
training and again we're linking two
products with what kind of reviewing
products so she's gone around the web
and on to Amazon she's read some reviews
and digested some information and then
she's kind of put together her own mini
reviews for all of these production
she's really good so your pros and cons
and then again I've got the products on
the on the site as whoot own products
mm-hmm there we go some people kind of
blurry that image but that's just the
way they come in from Amazon so I'm
really happy with the site of you added
some YouTube videos as well and yeah the
video that I created while I was
creating this site will be up this week
all being well and I go into detail just
like my other videos exactly how I
create this site it's probably gonna
come in about three hours though I think
that video cuz there's quite a lot to it
so this time around I actually kind of
did things in a different order I set up
the so I added the theme and mood and
everything and then I added the blog
first so I added all the content first
that way I then knew which products I
needed to add because the products were
mentioned within the content so as I was
having the content like that the
products added all the links and then
the site kind of filled itself out
nicely and kind of categories wrote
themselves which is pretty good this
one's all about dog ball launches then
we have even got some content which
involves some quite explain
have products if we can just find that
post so dog cameras they're quite
expensive and fitness trackers dog
clippers reasonable value dog treadmills
quite expensive now in terms of the
keyword golden ratio about half the
articles I think are using the the rest
are just kind of keywords that I like to
look off so I don't know how well
they're going to rank but of course I
will keep you up to date with how well
this size goes in terms of rankings and
traffic and Commission and all that kind
of stuff so anyway I see there's some

there away for automatic content on
t-shirts or fashion well in terms of
automatic content you can of course
import products from Amazon from the
fashion category or from t-shirts that'd
be fine terms of writing blog content in
an automatic way I wouldn't recommend it
it's not going to do particular
you really need a real writer a be chef
says like you've is what is a good CTR
for a photography blog not quite sure
what you mean by that you mean
click-through rate and of course your
affiliate links it's going to depend on
a lot of different factors I couldn't
possibly say and conversion rate again
there is no right or wrong answer to
that the conversion rate should be as
high as you can possibly get it you know
if I said average conversion rate an
average conversion rate is about one or
two percent but then I've had websites
before and I've had client sites before
that I've converted at 20 30 40 percent
so I don't think looking at average
Azure benchmarks is particularly helpful

how scalable is affiliate marketing it's
as scalable as you like it really is so
once you've created a site and you start
getting a bit of success you can build
that site up you can add more content
you can add more products on dug sites
and who a lot of you know he is a
professional Amazon affiliate market
here some of his sites they've got three
four five six hundred articles on them
so they're really scalable and then once
you get to a certain point you can sell
the site or keep it once you've got to a
point where maybe you can't write any
more articles you've got 400 who do you
think the site is big enough then of
course you can create another site

you can add some products using the new
Woo's own Chrome extension I've got a
video on the channel all about that it's
a few weeks back now go check it out and
you'll see how you can add some products
without using the API that's only a
temporary thing you only want to add a
few products that we've get your content
your blog content on because that's
going to help you get some sales then
once you've got some sales you want to
switch over to using the API so there's
a few question marks around using that
chrome plug-in like you know it doesn't
use a cron job or anything to update
prices so a little bit risky I think
possibly I don't know maybe it does

writers in u.s. dollars let's have a

so the writer that I was using and she
charged 35 US dollars for the first
thousand words and they're $19 for every
a thousand words after that so if you're
looking for a two thousand word article
which would be a great kind of length
then that's gonna come in a fifty my

money it's coming around fifty four
fifty four dollars an article that's
roughly what I pay into the urine was
where the website idea came from as well

I think I did it was on a live stream
we're doing some product research and
then some keyword research tend to do a
bit of both I've got a video on how to
find a niche on the channel niche niche

it's a combination of looking at
products on Amazon so drilling deep
within a category I tell you what let's
have let's do a little bit of research
now let's just find some random niche
and do a little bit of research and just
see see when come up with yeah I think
that'd be fun bit of fun on a Wednesday
evening let's let's look at some niches
so let me just share my screen again

Amazon first this is what I do anyway so
I go to Amazon and then we want to do is
start browsing through some of these
categories so I think with the pets on
what we were doing I mean I would have
to do pest now but let's let's just
drool down in the pets area again and so
just do a search without anything in the
box just to get into the category that's
for another way of doing it but that's
how I do it so for example maybe we
would rather than dogs we've done dog
stuff we could maybe drill down into
birds or fish and aquatic pets that
sounds interesting or reptiles and
amphibians or hmm I can be interesting
this going to reptiles so now we're
drilling kind of right down and we've
got the different categories
things like terror areum's terrariums
whatever a terrarium is I guess you have
to be into into your reptiles and
amphibians to know what what a name is
then we got the best sellers so I've got
some lamps
I wonder what yeah I think this looks
interesting I guess that's the habit of
houses is it I don't know yes there's
drill down a bit more so this could be
an interesting niche so there's lots of
different things around terrariums so
what I'd do is I would then take the
word terrarium pop over to Google and
then take a look at what we've got so
I'm running keywords everywhere which
gives me a rough idea of volumes are
though you know there's a lot of debate
as to how accurate these volumes are I
think there's just a rough guess and
then I'm looking down here I'm also
seeing these other search terms coming
up miniature plants for terrariums
that's interesting although I don't
think there's any plants on Amazon but
that's quite a yeah a very specific
large glass bowl terrarium or large
glass terrarium bowl
but I might just do a search on that
these are the kind of things that you
could to get it right you could then run
through the keyword golden ratio if
you're not sure what that is do check
out the playlist on the channel ten
videos between maybe by myself and Doug
all around keyword GaN ratio so you know
that this is fifty a month I mean you
could do an all-in title based you'll
know what I'm doing it mmm it's fairly
that's not going to work
yeah I just keep so this terrarium thing
could be a go up because there's quite a
lot of products on Amazon or can we
drill down plastic ones or a nice glass
one there so you know you could create
some content all around terrariums and
lizards and amphibians and it's quite a
specific niche isn't it I mean I don't
know how many other terrarium sites are
coming up I mean I'd do a little search
and say you know best glass terrariums
let's see if we have fun Annie
it's not bringing that that's not
actually a suggestion so see if there is
anything that is a suggestion by
terrarium surprise that's quite a good
one that's a very high focus he key word
is other word by night so I don't think
so what's coming out we've got the I'll
be craft these are quite big London to
Rome's Amazon's coming up there doesn't
seem to be any sort of affiliate type
sites coming up which could be a good
thing

getting terrariums for five for one for
bearded dragons look at that it's a very
specific search term so we've got some
videos coming up and then we've got some
sites like I wonder if these are like
affiliate sites so I'm just kind of a
quick look yeah these are affiliate
sites so here we go the varium world
great example so I mean if there is a
filler content coming up on page one
there's a chance that you could come up
too if you get the right keywords and
things I mean this article is not that
amazing things if there is competition
it's not a bad thing don't be scared
just someone you have to beat someone
you have to do better so yeah I think
that's correct so I would probably
consider this as a niche but you know
bring these a little bit more research
well just not digging so you know you've
got terrariums for bearded dragon I bet
there's terms for all sorts of different
lizards oh look leopard geckos what is
this an affiliate site Petsmart what is
that no this is a shop but you know
videos again and then something so you
could get really specific specific I
mean I don't know if this will work on
the golden ratio nine it probably would
then again I know my calculator to hand
but took my head I won't call the
calculator every day I think uh where's
the calculator
I need my calculator so you're 9 divided
by 90 point one so yeah
does fit the golden ratio so you write
an article around terms for leopard
geckos good chance you're gonna rank
very quickly anyway so that's a little
bit of a live research that's the sort
of thing I would do when I'm researching
for a new niche or a new niche started
ringing around in Amazon find something
interesting something a bit different
something deep within the categories
you'd only go for any of the top-level
categories you'd only go for just pets
or dogs or even just lizards that's not
specific enough I'm gonna drill right
down and then you want to start and
doing some searches on Google it's
getting some keyword ideas checking out
the competition and before you know it
you'll have some great ideas for an
affiliate site okay let's stop sharing

change on Amazon they will change on
your site automatically that's the
theory so that's fully compliant with
Google sort with Amazon's Terms of
Service if you want to add image images
in any other way then using the site

traffic Commission's you serious sites
the average amount well it really
depends on the site on my Amazon sites
it varies bear in mind that I do not
spend enough time on my Amazon affiliate
sites I spend a lot of my time on
creating training material doing live
streams doing YouTube working on you can
do so dang it a lot of time to work on
my zap Amazon a few sites but on average
it's around a hundred pounds a month for
me
whereas someone like Doug who takes his
Amazon affiliate marketing very
seriously some of his size and some of
his students sites as well I mean some
of your students are on with us tonight
they'll share with you some of their
earnings possibly because they shared
with Doug but some of them are getting
five hundred thousand two thousand a
month from their Amazon sites age
Belanger I tell if I said that right
says how can I tell where my traffic is
coming from is there a plug in the best
way to track your traffic personally is
with Google Analytics so head over to
Google Analytics to do a search you'll
find it sign up create a profile then
install a plugin onto your WordPress
site Google Analytics plugin I like the
monster insights one do a search in the
plug-in directory when you get to add
new type in Google Analytics I think one
of the first ones that come up will be
the monster insights one install that
connect it to your analytics account and
you start tracking stuff and it gives
you loads of information about where
people are coming from how long they
spend on your site the pages they look
at all sorts of things I think if you do
a search on my channel you'll find a
couple of videos on how to add Google
Analytics I'm not quite sure how
up-to-date they are but I don't think

I think the drop shipping is a viable
way to make money online a lot of people
have a lot of success with it personally
I'm not a big fan I've tried it in the
past I couldn't quite get it to work in
a profitable way and that's only because
I didn't spend enough time and it really
I mean I was at a point where it was
nearly working I created the site I
found some products I sold some products
in fact I got some orders and did all
the shipping it all worked fine but the
problem with it for me and this is what
I talked about in the video is I like
affiliate marketing because with
affiliate marketing you can make money
and you don't have to deal with products
you don't have to do with customers you
don't have to deal with customer service
you have to do with returns you don't
have to deal with taking money you have
to do with any of that stuff you
literally send the sale over to the
merchant send the customer over even and
they get the sound and then you get
Commission now of course we've
dropshipping there's more value because
the customer is actually yours because
we drop shipping the customers buying
something from you and they're not
buying it from someone else and you earn
at your commission they buy it from you
so you've got customers which means of
course you can then you know remark it
to them sell them other things there's
probably quite a lot of value in them
but as far as I can see you know there's
too much work involved for me I like
affiliate marketing Scott how Phil says
is it not better to get people to amazon
quickly with a simple view on Amazon
button instead of the more drawn out
whose own checkout process
possibly I'm not tested it out I know
that Doug again would just have a link
straight through to Amazon I like to
integrate it with my site the reason I
think there is a benefit to possibly
doing that and you know I haven't really
done enough research to be able to call
it as a as a fact but Google don't
really like too many affiliate links
within content so if you've got a blog
post and you look like ten different you
know products 15 products and they're
all linking off to Amazon that's quite a
lot of affiliate links on that piece of
content and Amazon's good look at that
and go there's a lot of affiliate links
and I think we should rank it as high
when you're linking to other pages on
your site like products with wuzhen I
think you know whose answers well
they're just internal links that's a
good thing and you don't lose any points
now of course it does rely on people you
know adding stuff to check out and check
it out and all that kind of stuff but I
kind of have a combination of the two
because on those articles that are just
showing earlier on the new site the
images are actually inserted with site
stripe so if you clicked on the image
you would go straight over to Amazon
rather than grab through the checkout AJ

murk by Amazon you could assign your own
t-shirts or higher fiber and then make
an affiliate site selling your own
shirts basically double dipping you
