alright welcome to episode 30 guys in
this episode of SPI TV spurred my kid in
the background in this episode of SPI TV
it's email marketing month and to
continue this we are gonna talk about
the top 5 email marketing tools third
party tools that you can use that will
integrate with your software most likely
will and what they do and why they're
important and why you need them if you
do you might not need all of these but
there might be that one that changes
everything for you so check it out here
the top 5 third-party email marketing
tools for you alright so first up we
have leadpages.net leadpages is a really
landing pages so you bet you can you
know collect more leads and drive more
sales and if you log in you're gonna see
that there are so many different kinds
of web pages and landing pages to choose
from and essentially this just makes it
incredibly easy for you to create these
landing pages also known as squeeze
pages where when people land on them
maybe you're driving traffic to them
from a link in a blog post or in an
email or perhaps a guest post on another
site within a podcast episode within a
YouTube video
whatever you set up these pages they're
really easy to customize their mobile
responsive and they make people take
action you can sort by conversion rate
as well which is really cool but as you
can see here there are all different
kinds of pages for example webinar
registration pages maybe you have a
webinars coming up and you can create
any of these pages here with a click of
a button or two so for example if I
wanted to start a webinar let's just
choose this one by James Schramko a lot
of people have uploaded their own
templates that have been proven to
convert people into an email list and
here we go so you can connect these to
most of the popular email service
providers GoToWebinar for example and
you can customize this as much as you'd
like so let me add an image there of
myself I'm going to change my name here
to pat flynn and i'm going to do email
webinar 2.0 free online live event you
can change all the dates here change the
images and if you click on this it
enables the 2-step opt-in process which
when people click on this it opens up a
lightbox and you can have it show an
opt-in form here for example I'm gonna
click done
so when I do this 50% complete name
email I can and don't typically collect
phone numbers I can change this image as
well here on the left hand side maybe I
want to use this brain and I want to
change free instant access to something
like join the webinar now and I'm gonna
click OK and that's that so all I have
to do is publish this page and it'll
give me a specific link that I can then
send anywhere and because I will have
connected it with all those services
that you might use to set up a webinar
maybe its webinar jam or Google Hangouts
or maybe you're using GoToWebinar it
makes it really easy for me to send this
out start building my registration list
and then get more people into my
webinars that's just one example and
again I'm gonna go back and actually
exit out of this to show you some of the
other examples that they have but there
are Thank You pages here you could see
some of the pages that I've created in
the past they have this thing called
lead boxes which allows you to create
these light boxes that show up and you
can see a lot of these have been
converting really well 73% 60% 81
percent depending on where they're at 81
percent for people who come from Canada
because I have that specialized for
people who do come from Canada and all
these other tools as well so this is
just amazing because it allows it allows
you to make it really easy to create
these different kinds of pages for
example I also I also use the Thank You
page templates here as well so I'm going
to click on thank-you page and you'll
see that there's this one for example
which I like so after people opt-in you
are able to then drive people to this
particular landing page again you just
publish these and you get a special link
for them you can also have them post it
on your website as well you can actually
have them just host it through leadpages
so you don't have to worry about it
but again you can just say thanks for
signing up for the webinar again this
and you can change to thanks for signing
up to the email list if you want or
whatever whatever you'd like and then
put some testimonials find out more to
have them continue that conversation
with you as they're going through this
process so again so many different
things to choose from and I would highly
recommend checking out leadpages if you

okay resource number two is lead digits
now this lives within leadpages so i'm
going to keep this open and don't worry
the rest of the tools mentioned in this
episode are not involving leadpages but
this is a highly valuable tool because
today email lead generation through
mobile is very very important to
understand and through specifically SMS
and text messages so leave digits for
example so what happens is people text a
certain phrase or an identifier here two
three three four four four and when that
is done they will get an immediate
response from leadpages or lead digits
and it says hello Pat here please reply
with the text containing only your email
address so we can send you everything we
promised thanks so they might text Sarah
at example.com and immediately they get
thank you for opting in reply with stop
anytime to unsubscribe from these
messages for assistance text help so you
can customize this initial response that
they get and what's the application for
this well let's say you are on stage and
you want to start building your email
list wall on stage well it's very easy
to say for example here well text slide
tips two three three four four four and
you'll get my slides for example or you
might be on a podcast episode or on a
YouTube video doing this and this allows
you to build your email list while
people are on the go they don't have to
go to a particular landing page they
don't have to do much except reply with
their email address and that'll put them
into whatever list you identify that
they subscribe to when you create your
lead digit now this is really cool this
is one of the top things that leadpages
and a number of other people are doing
to start building their list and again
it allows you to build an email list
through people's mobile devices which is
really helpful when they're on the go so
again this is Lee digits there are a lot
of other third-party tools out there
that do this things specifically but I
like that it's built into leadpages as
well and I've been using this and it has
been working I've been testing it in
certain videos and on stage as well and
I'll probably be doing this more in the
future in podcast episodes and and I
know a lot of people who are having a
lot of success with lead digits here
all right so this tool tool number three
is a tool that you can see at the top of
this website here this website is one of
my websites a niche site at green exam
Academy com which helps people pass an
exam in the architecture and design
industry this was my favorite very first
business actually and you can see the
tool being used here at the top of the
page it says the latest up-to-date LEED
version for study material now this is
called a holo bar or hello bar and this
is something you can include at the top
of the page or at the bottom and it
allows you to in a very low-key non
interruptive kind of way build your
email list or as you could see in this
case I'm actually driving sales for a
particular product that I promote and so
on and so forth so if you go to hello
bar comm you can check this out and you
can see here here the stats for this
particular one here I haven't turned it
on forever but I do turn it on every
once in a while when I'm promoting
certain things so you can see it's had
this many views and that many clicks and
if you wanted to create your own hello
bar I have this set up on several
different sites actually you can have it
create certain goals for you so if you
want to select this to grow your email
list you can then have people subscribe
or change the text here I'll just use
the default and as you could see here
it's adding another hello bar on top of
the one that I have now because I have
yet to turn that one off but you can
create these sliders that also come in
which come in here on the bottom
right-hand corner as you can see but let
me go back so you can set the goal you
can change the text and the styling you
can change the colors and all that sort
of stuff and you can change the
targeting which is who should see this
every one or you can set it up too
depending on your payment plan to people
who have been on your site before only
to people who are only brand new and all
those sorts of things so again I highly
recommend you check this out this is
hello bar at hello bar calm
okay next up number four sumo me this is
a cool free tool that you can use used
by nearly a hundred and fifty thousand
websites and it allows you to get access
to a bank or library of different tools
to help you grow your email list
increased traffic and all those sorts of
things and you can actually see it being
used on smart passive income right now
in a few places so actually let me open
up the control panel box here and you'll
see that these are a few of the tools
that I've enabled right now if you go to
the sumo store actually you'll see a
whole bunch that you could choose from
from a list builder which allows you to
put opt-in boxes in different places on
your website to the welcome mat which is
also known as a welcome gate it's a
screen you can show when people arrive
on your site for the first time to help
you build your email list and that is a
great tool to have in your arsenal as
well the smart bar which is similar to
the hello bar and other things you can
also go into some analytics they give
you free access to heat maps to sharing
tools which allow people to share
socially the images that you have on
your website as well I have that enabled
too and a number of other things as well
but let me close this up I'm gonna
reopen sumo me here and show you that
for example the share tool here has some
really cool analytics 6,000 clicks over
time and this is uh sharing certain
pages on my website so this is a sharing
tool and you could see the layout here
it allows me to on mobile and I only
have it available on mobile because I
have my own sharing buttons placed on my
website already but I can enable these
in all different sorts of places and it
does it automatically for you which is
really cool so as you could see the only
one that's lit up here is the mobile one
and that has been working out really
well because the button placements on my
regular design don't show up quite as
nicely as they do here in these sumo my
options for for mobile you can have a
mobile optimized you can track you can
change the settings for each of them
which kinds of services you want to be
shared or not and you can select from a
whole bunch of different ones depending
on what works for you and all those
sorts of things and clicks again like I
said things are going very very well you
could see that there was an uptake here
in shares on this particular day because
a post came out on that day as well so
you can get all the stats for that as
well change the
date range so on and so forth so a sumo
me is really cool actually let me go
back to this here and show you the image
sharer this is really cool because this
allows you to add images or ads sharing
services on top of the images that you
have on your website too so you can
actually see this being put into place
right now
so this is my about page and so there's
an image here and when you hover over
this image you'll see that there is a
button that pops up on the lower
right-hand corner and I click on that
and it allows me to share this image on
any of the platforms that I want people
to share it on now I don't have
Pinterest up here I know Pinterest is
probably the biggest one but I'm not yet
on Pinterest and that's okay but as you
can see you can sign it with Twitter
Facebook or LinkedIn and it will share
this image now I'm gonna click out of
this but that's how easy it is and I've
gotten a lot of people to click on this
to not this particular image but you
know specific images throughout my
website to be able to share them on
these platforms and it works out really

done a great job making this really easy
for you to use with a lot of free tools
in there sort of store I guess you could
say and most of these are free to use

okay and lastly I want to share a cool
tool with you called optinmonster this
is resource number five and this is a
tool an email marketing tool that uh is
generating a lot of buzz out there
because there's a lot of cool things
that happen most importantly they use
this thing called exit intent technology
which is when you are about to exit a
page where often monster is enabled and
this particular feature is enabled on
that particular site when you try to
leave that page it will ask you for an
email address in exchange for something
because when you think about it you know
a lot of people are leaving your site
and over 70 70 percent of those people
will never ever come back but that's
your last chance to offer them something
to come back and collect their email
address and a lot of websites are using
this a lot of big websites too here's
Neil Patel sharing it Michael Stelzner
from social media examiner let's see who
else is here Michael Hyatt I saw John
Lee Dumas is using this as well there
were some incredible numbers actually I
think let's see here
Michael Stelzner mentioned that he has
generated over ninety five thousand more
names to his email list using the
tenth acknowledged technology it's hard
to say on on social media examiner and
they integrate with all your top email
marketing providers as well and it's
just amazing what they do and allow you
to do with this tool and you can see
that there's you can convert abandoning
visitors really into subscribers and
customers and a lot of people have been
using this like I said you can track you
can split test certain opt-in forms and
all those sorts of things and they're
coming out they're coming out with a lot
more tools as well which is really cool
for instance they have a welcome gate
that has just been enabled to which
allows you to have sort of a welcome
screen that people see and you can have
it set for brand new people who come to
your website as well so that you know
you're capturing they're out there
opt-ins and in that sort of thing but as
you can see here a lot of people are
using this and it works over 7 million
people have ended up using it which is
