hey guys what's up this is Stefan it's
Sunday night right now and I thought I'd
make a video blog just to talk about a
few things on my mind just this last
week in a Sunday night right now I just
three-day event that we do here in
Vancouver where I would take a group of
guys and get the massively outside their
comfort zone and take them in different
social situations and get them to face a
lot of their fears and anxieties and
limitations that are holding them back
and we do that in a way just by getting
them to to meet people and approach
people and just socialize and and push
those barriers and it's such a
transformational process because you
know you see you see the change is that
bet these guys go through and only two
and a half days change happened so fast
it really blows your mind and you see
you can actually see the changes in
people just through their way they carry
themselves in their body language you
know from the Friday night to to the
Sunday and it'll really blow your mind
and I have so much fun doing it but you
know it's this really amazes me how we
we all have certain beliefs that hold us
back certain limitations you know
certain stories that we've told
ourselves our entire lives and we buy
into and as long as you believe those
stories or beliefs then that's what your
reality essentially is you know your
beliefs are what control every decision
you make in their life they control you
know who you are it's your identity as a
human being is just a sum total of your
beliefs but yourself and it's amazing
when you challenge those beliefs and
that's exactly what this hat what
happened this last weekend I mean you
saw God I saw guys who had so much
anxiety and fear and they their beliefs
about themselves or what's possible
you know some guys that believe that
they were shy or had anxiety or they
couldn't do this we can't just approach
someone like that or people don't really
like me or they'll respond to me or this
way or that way and by getting them
outside of their comfort zone and do
things they wouldn't normally do
you know and facing those beliefs
challenging them and it's amazing how
fast it can change and those little
changes amount to huge huge differential
and who that person is how that person
lives their life and I'll give you an
example you know there's this one guy
that stood up Friday and he said you
know I'm shy and he was a very timid guy
you know very quiet voice and you can
tell that belief that I'm shy
introverted and all this was really
controlling his behavior and who he was
and after just you know a few hours of
taking this guy out I got him to do
things he never done before you know
approaching random strangers on the
street going to a nightclub going to
bars and lounges and socializing with
people and you know getting outside his
comfort self and it's amazing how fast
this guy who's you said he was shy and
really believed it but carrying this
belief his entire life how fast
everything changed for him because in a
matter of hours he was doing things that
shy people don't do it's impossible to
be shy and be able to just approach
people on the street or approach people
in social situations and that's not
congruent with a shy person is time
congruent with that identity and so I
was teasing him about I said listen
you're not shy or what is this shy stuff
that you're telling me earlier that's
not really you coz shy people are do
this as possible for a shy person to
disapprove of people shy people are
introverted they're being extroverted
right now you're being outgoing or being
confident I said what are you really and
he said I'm
softening and you could see that shift
right there by getting him to face those
fears and challenge himself in that way
that his belief from I'm shy instantly
went to I'm confident because he got
certain references he had certain
experiences that now support this new
belief this new reality that I'm
confident and that's just such an
amazing thing to see his behavior shift
the way he carried himself his tone of
voice his eye contact you know the
expression on his face the way you moved
to life and that's a transformation all
transformation happens when you change
beliefs about what's possible of who you
are and and it's just such a rewarding
thing to actually see and it just goes
to show you know just by living in your
comfort zone and doing the same thing
you limit yourself in so many ways and
so by doing things you haven't done or
you thought were scary or hard or
difficult impossible by facing those
fears doing them your beliefs your
mindset everything shifts and you have a
better quality of life as a result and I
remember for me and I still believe that
I was shy I was a dirted I was five my
life most of my life and I I had certain
experiences that I tential II did and
found to change that belief I remember
uh I remember when I was eight years old
I was terrified of meeting people and I
would start going out and approaching
and pushing my comfort zone and it was a
very scary painful process process at
the time because I had never done that
before and you risk facing rejection
and failure and judgment but I didn't
about her right nonetheless and every
time I do it I would feel this sense of
confidence and belief in myself just by
doing it I remember doing acting classes
and improv classes and public speaking
classes you know essentially anything
that could make me better anything that
was uncomfortable for me anything that
would get me outside of my comfort zone
because that was my philosophy towards
life something scared me I knew that I
had to do it no matter what because by
doing it I would gain confidence as a
result and I would become a better
person I would become a better human
being
and you know I remember traveling you
know living in different countries going
there by myself not knowing where I am
or you know what I was gonna do or where
I was gonna live and you're putting
those situations and you're massively
outside your comfort zone but you're
forced to adapt you're forced to get
comfortable with it and all of a sudden
that becomes part of your comfort zone
and then you find a new thing that
scares you a new thing that challenges
you I remember going to night clubs by
myself and meeting people by myself and
in different parts of the world and and
just doing crazy things and I'm so
grateful for those experiences and at
the time there were some of the most
painful thing has ever been through but
those are those experiences are what
made me who I am today there may be a
better coach a better leader a better
person and I'm so grateful for those I'm
so grateful for all of the pain and the
failure and rejection and the
experiences that went through because
that that shaped Who I am achieve my
character and man it's like most the
people that live in their comfort zone
and people that are never happy those
are the people are living the path of
least resistance the path of comfort and
the path of least resistance always
leads to pain
because all happiness and fulfillment in
your life comes from making progress by
growing anything in life that doesn't
grow dies it's the growth and the
progress you're making that gives you
the aliveness in your life it's that
uncertainty that gives you joy
fulfilling so there's never a point
where you're just comfortable it's never
a point where everything is okay you
always have to keep pushing the edge you
always have to keep growing and doing
things to keep improving yourself become
better and facing your your current
belief systems about how you think life
is or who you are and continually
expanding that become more as a human
being and to make progress so that you
can be more fulfilled and more happy and
experience that aliveness the life has
to offer
it's never-ending process you keep going
out keep doing it till the day that I
die I'll continually find things that
scare the of it me I do so it's
just a little rant I want to share that
with you guys
I hope it inspires you in some way to
push your comfort zone and do things who
will vote with you and challenge some of
the police that you currently have about
life or yourself and just do it
