probably means that you want to start a

blog or you more importantly want to

make money with a blog but blogging has

become a little bit more different and I

would say quite a bit harder than it was

a few years ago because video content is

just flowing up and everyone wants to

watch video content well I actually got

a travel blog called travel and pleasure

comm and I started it back in 2015 and

have had my successes I've had my

failures and if I were to start all the

way from scratch this is what I would do

to look blogs and how you can actually

monetize your blog's and make money with

your blogs and like I said I own this

travel and pleasure web site think it

has like a hundred and fifty sixty posts

on it but it doesn't really make that

much money and I have a very very good

lesson for you guys if you want to start

a blog from scratch you really have to

do this one thing this is not optional

you have to do this one thing and I'm

gonna tell you about that a little bit

later so when I first started with

travel blog I actually bought this

travel blog because I had a YouTube

channel that was around traveling I'm

gonna show you that as well so this is

the YouTube channel I actually started

this before I got the travel blog I

bought they travel blog from flippa.com

where you can buy a ton of different

websites and I think I bought it for

$1,200 the entire travel and pleasure of

web site including what I thought was

the most amazing thing at the time about

60,000 followers on travel pleasure the

Twitter page so I was like yeah I'm

gonna I'm gonna make so much money with

all these Twitter followers and also I

have this YouTube channel and I'm

finally gonna be rich off of blogging

because my initial thought was hey I'm

gonna take all these travel articles

I'm gonna read into microphone find some

cool videos and put the videos over when

I

talking and I did that for a little

while I have 43 videos on this some of

them really got taken off and 421 300

200 hundred and 75 K right here but the

thing is making money with a travel blog

is very very hard so I'm gonna teach you

a lesson that I should have learned a

long long time ago making articles that

are funny and interesting and stuff like

that you can kind of only make money

through Adsense so basically you have

ads on the side if we go into this for

example you can see some ads right here

I have ad blocker on right now also you

can make some money through affiliate

marketing that I'm gonna go into right

now if I were to resurrect this blog or

if I were to start this blog from

completely scratch I would start

reviewing different products I would

start reviewing travel gear I would

start reviewing backpacks and I would

start reviewing every single thing about

traveling and I can show you one example

right here that is a very very good

example of a blog where you actually

have the focus on making money you have

the focus on actually monetizing your

website before you even start publishing

anything you should have a content

strategy like this one so you can see

that this is a travel blog around the

niche hunting fishing camping outdoors

things like survival and stuff like that

and what they're doing right here is

they have a lot of different post you

can see like five hatreds right here

around reviewing different products and

if we just go into here let's do best

fly-fishing vests you can see that they

have very very legit reviews around

these products and when you go right

here and check the price you can see

that they're taken over to amazon.com

and if someone buys through that link

they will make money through that and

this is a way way way

better way to monetize your website and

monetize your blog than actually

producing different kinds of content

like I have been doing like for example

coolest things you can do in Toronto how

can i monetize that well I could reach

out to the tourist center in Toronto and

maybe get an affiliate link from them if

someone buys through that but this is a

really very very small percentage of

people will do that like I said you can

have advertising on the side and also

like I have right here I have like they

can get some free things so they can get

on my email list and I can sell them

affiliate products like that but the

really the only thing you can sell when

it comes to traveling is really travel

gear you can do some affiliate marketing

with dye scanner and different kinds of

hotel bookings and stuff like that but

people don't really do that through a

website they want to get into it

themselves and really figure that stuff

out on their own I found out this the

hard way I thought that I could monetize

this website very very well but I really

couldn't the only way that I'm

monetizing this website right now is

through guest posting so I get probably

about even though I don't really work on

this I can see that the last post that I

posted like this one was a few days ago

as you can see but the last time I

posted was around five months ago

because I didn't really get that many

guest posters throughout the winter but

now since this summer a lot of people

want to get on travel blogs to get

backlinks to their own website so if I

were to start all over again from

completely scratch or if I wanted to

resurrect this website I would start

going into reviewing different products

and selling different products in the

niche that I'm in if you want to start

from scratch

you should really find a niche where

there's a lot of different things to

sell for example like the survival niche

there's a ton of things that you can

sell like hats and fly fishing and

fishing coolers and fishing vests and

turkey west and fishing hats and fishing

backpacks and probably can sell some

fish on here if you want that but

have that in mind it's very very hard to

monetize a blog when the niche doesn't

have really that much to sell for

example in traveling niche there really

isn't that much I can sell there isn't

really that many big problems and

struggles in that market that I can sell

to if I were for example in the dating

industry I could probably sell a course

on how to get more girls or if I were

wearing the weight loss niche would be

way easier for me to monetize that

through affiliate marketing and sell

different courses on how they could lose

weight I could set books on how to lose

weight I could even sell like seminars

and people going on a one-week seminar

to really lose weight our boot camps or

stuff like that hunts of different ways

to sell but like I said have that in

mind before you start your niche website

have that in mind before you start your

blog so you actually know what your

audience want what those travelers

actually want to buy that is something

you have to take in mind before you

start any blog online and also driving

traffic to your blog through SEO it

should be pretty pretty hard right now

because the competition is so fierce

I would highly highly suggest that you

read your article into a microphone and

then you put some beautiful pictures

maybe some PowerPoint presentation above

it to make it into a video as well so

your content can reach more people

instead of just having it on your blog

because if it's just on your blog

starting out it's gonna be very very

hard even when you try

ranking for long term keywords is gonna

be pretty pretty hard because I can

promise you that if you make a website

that's based around by your keywords

like for example someone were to write

best wheeled coolers 20-18 into Google

that's a buyer keyword and if someone

clicks on that link and they end up on

this page right here where they can buy

a cooler and they're looking to buy a

cooler they're looking for the best

cooler in 2018 they're probably gonna

end up buying more than if you were to

write

why you should have a cooler when

fishing or something like that so to

conclude this video make sure that you

find a niche where there's a lot of

different things that you can sell and

different ways to monetize your audience

through affiliate marketing selling

courses selling products physical

products like this through Amazon very

good ways of monetizing secondly if you

want to create your articles around by

your keywords so actually people search

on Google to buy stuff and then they go

through your blog and they end up buying

something the third step would be to

publish your videos on YouTube to make

sure that they have more reach and more

engagement especially since you're

starting out if you have nothing at all

you really need to make your blog post

as huge as possible to get as much eyes

on you as possible and YouTube is a

great way to do that and fourth never

stop never never ever stop if you

publish one post if you publish two

posts you're not gonna see much success

if you publish four a week you're

probably not gonna see much success but

keep going and keep having the

discipline to post every other day every

third day to make sure that your post

regularly and to never ever ever give up

if this is your dream if you really

really want to make money online or if

you want to make a sustainable income

online you just need to put in the hard

work I know it's hard but it's so worth

it when you get something up and running

that is giving you passive income coming

into your bank account every single

month and if you actually want to start

a blog right now and start making posts

like this I highly highly recommend that
