don't know who I am I'm a online
entrepreneur that was able to generate
seven figures in sales last year
primarily using Facebook Ads so in this
video I'm going to show you the five
simple steps to run highly profitable
Facebook ads and you're gonna be able to
get started right away so whether you're
someone who has never ran a Facebook ad
before or maybe you have ran ads before
but you're just not getting the results
that you want to see this video is
really gonna help you out there's a lot
of topics on Facebook ads on you know on
YouTube and digital courses there's a
lot of people teaching a lot of
different things but I want to show you
how to run the profitable ads in 2018
there's been a lot of changes to
Facebook ad policies and it's really
disrupted the community so I want to
show you exactly how to run profitable
Facebook ads in 2018 while remaining
compliant with Facebook ad policies and
not getting your account shut down so
hopefully that doesn't scare you too
much if you're new here and you've never
ran a Facebook ad before I don't worry
it's good very easy very simple and I'm
gonna show you we're gonna jump right on
my computer and I'm gonna walk you
through it so let's go alright so now
that we're here on my computer I'm gonna
show you the five steps to highly
profitable Facebook ads and this is
primarily for personal branding okay so
I'm gonna kind of give you the
background of my run Facebook ads for my
personal brand and how I've been able to
generate seven figures
from these Facebook ads okay so mostly
for digital products and affiliate
products for my personal brand but
number one is and this applies to any
type of business okay but number one is
you want to identify your objective okay
so what is your objective with these
advertisements are you trying to get
more sales are you trying to get more
engagement with your posts maybe you
have a post on your Facebook page or
your Instagram page that you want to get
you know a lot more likes and views
whatever it may be you have to identify
your objective okay so my objective with
most of my ads is to acquire leads at a
effective cost and then get conversions
from those okay so what does that mean
what is a lead a lead is when I
basically I'm paying for emails okay I'm
paying for people that are interested in
my digital products to give me their
email whether it's for something of free
value I give away a free training a free
video training on a certain topic like
Facebook Ads right like the video you're
watching today and then I you know
acquire that lead okay so that's mostly
my objective is for conversions for
leads
okay so once you identify your objective
then you're going to create your ad for
that particular objective okay and most
of the time you're either gonna start
off with traffic or conversions which
are a little bit more a little bit more
advanced okay so who is your audience
that is number two you have to identify
who your audience is okay what are you
selling are you selling a digital
product or you selling real estate
services are you selling a physical
product what is it that you're selling
and who purchases what you're selling
okay what is the age range of the people
that purchase what you're selling are
you selling you know a fitness product
or a diet pill for you know older people
maybe joint health right you have to
identify what age is your target
audience are they 18 to 24 are they 25
to 30 are they you know 65 plus what is
your target audience how old are they
and then you start off with interest
based targeting okay so you can go into
and I'll show you exactly how to do it
in my ads manager but you're gonna start
off with interest based targeting now
this is targeting that is you know
highly competitive congested so I'm
gonna you know at first obviously when
you have no customers you have no
previous audience or customers like you
don't have any emails for your business
then you can't create more advanced
Facebook ads but we'll get into that so
right now I'm just trying to get you
started so if you're someone that
already has emails you already have
in an email list that you can upload
into your ad manager and create a
specific custom audience then that's
fine just you know stay in this video
and we'll talk about that in a second
but if you're someone who's just getting
started with Facebook ads you're gonna
want to target people based off your
interests okay so identify the age
identified their location who is your
audience where do they live do they live
in the United States do they lived in
the United Kingdom do they live in China
where do they live and then you're gonna
base then you're gonna base the
targeting off interest right if it's for
fitness and health
maybe you target a specific Fitness
influencer page or you you know target a
certain health page okay and then after
that number three once you start running
your ads you want to remain compliant
with Facebook ad policies okay this is
so crucial because a lot of people
neglect this and this is where Facebook
is really cracking down here in 2018
okay so they just updated their data
privacy issues and everything like that
so if you don't have a privacy policy on
your landing page your ad account is
most likely going to get shut down
within the next you know one to four one
two four weeks okay it just takes time
for Facebook to written you know review
your account but it will get shut down
and I don't want that to happen for you
so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put a
link in the description down below to my
privacy policy which I'll show you in a
second I made one using clickfunnels if
you don't use clickfunnels I highly
suggest getting a 14-day free trial and
just you know creating a couple funnels
and maybe a privacy apology policy page
which I'm gonna give you mine so you can
just you know copy-paste and kind of
change the wording around so once you do
have your privacy policy on your landing
page then you're fine you have your
disclaimers your privacy policy so
you're remaining compliant with Facebook
ad policies because so many people want
to get started with Facebook ads and
just start running ads but they don't
want to you
comply with the guidelines and you know
I I've been there and I've done that
okay I've had multiple add accounts shut
down and I don't want that to happen to
you so after that okay after you're
compliant you know your audience you're
targeting them through Facebook now you
want to scale out of interest-based ads
okay so once you start acquiring emails
okay because you're running an ad to a
landing page where you acquire an email
you give away something for free of
value and they and the person gives you
their email now you have those emails a
list of people that gave you all these
emails right and those are targeted
people those are people that are
interested in what you have to offer
once you have those emails I'll show you
in a second what to do with them okay so
and then you could scale out of
interest-based ads which is if you're
new here you've you're new to Facebook
advertising I'll show you in a second
what that means and then you want to
scale your ad to convert okay so here's
my privacy policy that I built in
clickfunnels I will go ahead and share
this with you in the link down below
this will be the first link in the
description and you can go ahead and
download this funnel for yourself of
course maybe change some of the wording
around and you know apply it to your
website but you can have this privacy
policy um you know just basic privacy
policy okay now I'm gonna go to the my
ads manager account and I'm gonna show
you okay this is one of my ad accounts I
want to show you the difference between
interest based marketing okay like for
your this is for my personal brand and
creating a look-alike audience based off
your email list okay and the difference
in cost okay so this is an interest
based ad that is targeting a specific
interests for my niche right like I'm
targeting like entrepreneurship online
marketing influence or marketing right
so I'm targeting people that have been
interested on Facebook with those
keywords okay but it's not very targeted
it's not
because it's so congested the market is
so congested now because there's so many
people running different ads that are
targeting the same interests as you so
look what happens on here I'm paying one
dollar and sixty-two cents per lead
which is still generally low but if you
could get sub one dollar I've gotten as
low as twenty cents of course Facebook
did raise there you know ad prices so
all of these prices are gonna be a
little bit inflated right now but
interest based marketing is just not
gonna work as well now if we look up
here so what is this ad I'm paying 73
cents per lead this ad is based off of
my email list okay so what I did was I
ran this interest based ad targeting
whatever if you're in the dog me issue
targeting golden retriever lovers you're
targeting puppy lovers right and then
once you are targeting those people and
they're landing on your landing page
you're giving them a free training or a
free something a free product and they
give you the email now you have a list
that you can upload into your ads
manager account okay right here you go
to audiences and you could upload all
those emails into a custom audience so
you create an audience right and you
could create a custom audience okay and
what Facebook is gonna do with that
audience okay is it's going to populate
your email list and then it's going to
you can create a look-alike audience so
the Facebook can target people that are
most likely to purchase from you or give
you their email or that are most likely
interested in your stuff in what you
have to offer okay so if facebook
advertising is not about all this
technical technical mumbo-jumbo it's not
about like you know trying to get the
most technical aspects to it if you are
able to let Facebook do the work right
if you give Facebook the data Facebook
will do the work and it shows right here
okay all I did was I uploaded that email
list from this targeting right interest
based targeting then I uploaded the
email
and created a look-alike audience and
I'm paying pretty almost half the cost
okay per lead because this is much more
highly highly highly targeted this is
targeting people that are that look
exactly like the people that gave me
their emails right so if you can if you
can allow Facebook to do the heavy
lifting for you then do that okay I'll
show you right now what creating an
interest-based ad looks like so we'll go
ahead and right here right like I said
in step number one you have to choose
your objective okay what is your
objective are you trying to get more
post engagement are you trying to get
traffic to your website I like to do
conversions because I like to know how
much I'm paying per email I don't like
to spend to you know anything over two
to three dollars per email is just it's
just too much okay but although every
email to me is worth around ten to
fifteen dollars because every email that
I collect is that's someone that might
be interested in one of my digital
products might be interested in one of
my affiliate products right so I usually
do conversions and that's that's what I
would do if I were you if you have
personal brand or you are on social
media and you want to make money through
social media I would do conversions
because then you could track exactly how
many you know how many emails you're
getting and what you're paying for them
okay so you could go here to conversion
right and this is what I did
all right so I selected my conversion
event which is lead okay and then at
first like I said your you don't have a
custom audience yet because you don't
have any email so you don't have any
customers or any previous customers that
gave you their email so you can't give
Facebook data to work with so you know
you're gonna have to target something
like let's just say I'm in the I don't
know the fitness industry right and I'm
targeting people from 18 to 24 that are
in to bodybuilding right and we're gonna
say primarily men let's just say most 98
percent of our audience is men so we
want to make this specific to men 18 to
24 that are interested in bodybuilding
muscular development so we can go to
detailed targeting right and this is
interest based targeting so this is what
you want to get out of as quick as
possible but if you don't have any
customers or previous customers you have
to do this right this you have to be
able to acquire data which is emails
right you have to acquire some leads
first so that you can get more specific
okay so all you're concerned with at
first is acquiring data and then using
that data to give back to Facebook to
optimize your ads okay so you can target
I don't know let's just say let's just
say Christian guzmán okay because
someone who knows Christian guzmán might
you know be into fitness bodybuilding
that kind of stuff
that didn't show up so let's try let's
just try bodybuilding.com okay there we
go bodybuilding you can just go here
natural bodybuilding that's a perfect
one okay so if you're new to Facebook
advertisements this is how you're gonna
start off at first okay you're gonna do
interest based targeting like this okay
and then you know you could do whatever
Facebook you know Facebook feeds
Instagram stories whatever native ad you
want to run like if you want to run
Instagram stories I've been doing those
the swipe up stories have been getting a
low cost per lead for me personally but
you just go down here you put your
budget you could do five dollars a day
if you want continue and then upload
your content your create your video
creative right so at first generating
leads right now is the moat of most
importance okay once you generate those
leads and you have emails again you're
gonna go into audiences and upload
create that audience and then create a
look-alike audience for that okay so
very simple and this is just proof that
shows you how you know how much more
highly effective targeting this is and
how much money it could save you in the
long run for your business if you are
you know scaling out of interest based
targeting getting away from that
in doing more look-alike audiences and
retargeting right
