How to Do Keyword Research with Google Keyword Planner - What Does Keyword Research Look Like #Best Education Page #Online Earning

my experience and knowledge in digital

marketing and how to make money online

in today's video I want to share with

you how I do keyword research on the

internet for free we're using free tools

like google planner and a couple of

other tools as well

keyword research I usually do in two

main cases the first one when I'm

looking and trying to find a niche with

low competition yet with high monthly

searches and the second when I'm looking

for a local for a longtail keyword with

low competition and high monthly

searches to write an article about on my

authority website in both these

scenarios I go through this process that

I'm going to show you in a few moments

and this way I'm making sure that the

website that I'm going to build all the

article that I'm going to write will

have low competition and it will be

relatively easy to rank it in Google and

start driving traffic to it and at the

same time I'm checking and making sure

that these keywords will have a decent

amount of monthly searches so that the

whole work of building content or the

website around that keyword phrase is

not wasted I'm going to walk you through

the whole process on my laptop screen so

let's jump right to it I use basically

only three main tools these are Google

Keyword planner SEO quake it's a Chrome

extension I will show you in few seconds

and surprisingly enough google.com so

how to access these tools keyword

planner you can just type in Google

search Google Keyword planner

- and you will see right here will be

URL right to this tool and then most

probably it will ask you to create

Google AdWords account if you still

don't have one these two is absolutely

free to use and you don't have to run

any AdWords ads with Google asshole if

you will be running some AdWords ads you

will get some additional let's say

advantages using that tool but for

keyword research that I perform usually

I don't have to run the the the ads and

for me that's totally enough so this how

it looks and that will show you in a

second how exactly I use these tool and

that the second tool is SEO quake it's

chrome is a chrome app you just go to

Chrome apps webstore type in in search

SEO quake and here it is I already

installed it so you just click Add to

Chrome and then you will have this kind

of small icon when you're just single

click on the Left button you can switch

it on or switch it off now it's on I

don't really recommend you to keep it on

or at all times it loads your internet

connection quite an and system quite a

lot and it sends a lot of requests to

the service and then Google will ask you

to pass capture and it's not very nice I

usually switch it on and just to make to

do keyword research and then switch it

off so let's go to keyword planner right

here usually I use these two most of all

sometimes I also use this tool yes

William Dalton Trent's I will show you a

bit later in which cases I use the

second option for the time being let's

click right here the settings I usually

put a United States because I'm

interested in United States your

location also a search Google all

languages I usually put English only if

you want to target how the country or

other languages feel free to do so

you can also add negative keywords that

means that we're ever gonna search if a

keyword phrase will have this particular

negative keyword it will exclude in

search results automatically so for

example my niche is electric shavers and

now I want to write a new article for my

website and I want to write this article

about a particular keyword that has

quite high volume search volume in

Google yet it has has low competition in

Google as possible this way I can assure

that I can rank in Google and both and

fast and easy without putting too much

effort into into it so keyword research

is needed exactly for this for example

my niche is electric shaver or electric

shavers and now I'm looking for some

additional keywords that I would I would

be able to use to generate fresh new

content for my website and for this I

just put right here electric shavers the

rest of the settings we already put

right here and I press get ideas

so here we are on this screen I usually

switch to ad group ideas

Google automatically sauce out all the

keywords by groups let's say by themes

and topics and on this screen let me

briefly explain you what are the

meanings obviously these are the groups

of keywords we will look into this in a

second

average month searches from 10,000 to

100,000 in this case these ones has

monthly searches from 1,000 to 10,000

when you are running paid AdWords have

paid ads with Google AdWords then these

numbers are quite precise so it will

show you not not just the range from

1,000 to 10,000 but it will show more

precise for example I don't know 720 or

550 or something like that a competition

don't get confused

many people confuse these that are

thinking that this actually is

competition to rank in Google no it's

not competition on this screen means

competition in Google AdWords which

means in this case if competition is

high then you will have to place your

bids higher to win to win positions of

your hands in in Google Adwords

because Google AdWords is auction type

of hard world advertisement plate

advancement platform so you if there are

a lot of other people who are running

Google Ads for these keywords then the

competition is going to be high and you

will have to pay a lot of like more

money to win first places for your ads

suggest bid is also you don't really

have to look at this

when you're doing keyword research

unless you want to make money with your

website with google adsense google

adsense is when you place google google

ads on your website and when someone

clicks on your on those ads while they

are on your website you get paid these

amounts for each click so if you want to

run Google Adsense on your website then

you can pay attention to these suggested

bids and obviously the higher the bill

is of the better for you so after a

search in Google panel tool my main

keyword I then go through keyword groups

and look for the ones that matches let's

say my interest about what I want to

write on my website let's say if I want

to write an article about razor for men

let's say or he enjoy about shavers

for men then I can go to razor for men

it's somewhat really for example I can

write not only about electric shavers

but also raising for men then I click

right here and also I sawed them by

average monthly searches so that the the

higher search is going to be on top and

go through these keywords and see which

ones I find let's say a potential as

potential topic for my from a new

article for my website and also in this

case I want to pay attention to to let

the second I want to consider buyers

intent

it means if a keyword is more general

for example this one

men's electric razors if someone is

looking for men's electric razors in

Google then this person can just you

know make some research or want to look

for like out of curiosity or they just

started thinking about buying electric

razor for men and so on when they are

looking for best electric razor for men

then right here there is just a little

bit more of buyer intent because they

already kind of know what electric

razors about and that they want it and

they are obviously are looking for the

best one then for example this one

men's electric razors on sale this is

let's say 100 percent buyers intent

keyword keyword phrase if someone is

looking men's electric razors on sale or

men's electric razors deals or like a

low-cost or something like that it means

that this person is already decided to

buy they want to buy they want to spend

money and they are looking for the right

place where they can do that so this is

probably one of the best keywords to try

and rank for these kind of key words

usually have the highest competition and

not always high volume of multi searches

so it may let's say be more difficult to

rank for these keywords with really high

bias intent and the Mafia searches are

not going to be too high but at the same

time they will convert the most and for

quite high volume of monthly searches it

doesn't mean that it will convert really

well

most probably like a lot of people they

will just

read your article and and close to read

another article and so on but when the

one someone comes to your website

through this keyword phrase men's

most likely to convert and buy something

through your website so these the this

thing you have to consider is really

works really well it it very very firmly

practical so what you want to do you

want to create a text file then you want

to go through the whole list of these

keywords and copy copy paste into the

text file those keyword keyword phrases

that you potentially consider writing

article about so for example we can

copy/paste this keyword best deals on

men's this one as well this is one of

razor for men also this one so and you

create this kind of list for keyword

phrases it can be as long as you feel

potential keyword phrases what we want

to do we want to go to google.com make

website so the first thing that you want

to see is actually how many results it

gives you in

as you can see I said I do broad search

I don't use quotes to to look for exact

match although some people do that they

search not only exact match domains but

but they also use in title and some

other tricks how to check competition in

Google so I use just broad search and

see how many results I have in the end

and what I want to have I want to have

the least the less results as possible

what I want to have I want to have less

than 10 million results if I have 10

million or more results in Google then I

consider that the competition is quite

high what I can do in the cetacean I can

look through top 10 results of the first

page of Google and just double-check the

competition and see how top 10 looks

like if it happens so that II like the

total amount of results is is quite high

let's say 20 or 30 million but top 10

results have quite low competition then

I can proceed with that keyword so in

this case we have less than a million

final results in Google and it's I

consider this extremely low competition

extremely low is a very good sign the

only thing with this kind of data when

we have only few hundred thousands

results you still have to check top 10

all of the results and make sure that

top 10 has low competition and you will

be able to how trying to rank your

website not only on the second page and

further but he within top 3 or top five

at least so what we want to check neck

domain how many backlinks this whole

website has not not to this page in

particular this website has quite a lot

of backlinks not too many but quite like

it will not be enough for you to outrank

this website by writing a good article

see they have 133 backlinks to this

particular page and 18,000 more than

18,000 backlinks to the domain name on

top of that you want to check website

age 2014 it's quite quite old I mean

yeah of course when you see in 1996 like

of the second results Walmart they have

a huge huge advantage what you want to

see right here is your current current

year or last year if it's a few years

older than your website then it will be

more difficult for you to outrank the

website then the last thing that you

want to check is exact match of the

keyword phrase in our case is men's

electric razors exact match in URL in

title and in the description and as you

can see the top the first website

doesn't really have exact match in title

in URL or in the description they don't

have it so it's a

good sign is actually this keyword may

have quite high potential first

indicator is google how many pages are

indexed in Google so this website has

573 pages indexed in Google Walmart

office that has seven and a half million

of pages and it was created in 1968 1996

the Amazon best by consumers report

wired ten beasts ok and this is actually

a good sign so what you want to find in

top ten is another blog type of website

that is relatively new in these cases

2016 so it was created a bit over a year

ago it has only 30 pages indexed in

Google it has 8 backlinks to this

particular web web page and domain link

domains 276 that leads to the domain so

this is a very good sign also that this

keyword is going to rank in in top 10 I

know this website I was looking into

this website some time ago they were

posting a key study how they ranked with

only I think 5 pages making top 10 for

Amazon products so I know that they have

although they have not too many

backlinks but these backlinks have

really really high value so it will be

quite difficult to outrank this website

for the keywords that they're ranking

for but getting back to our keyword

phrase remains electric razors I would

say that this keyword is

to be relatively easy to rank if you

will be able to write solid 2,000 words

plus article create few solid backlinks

create some network of web 2.0 websites

with decent content and if you do

everything right

including on-page SEO you will be able

to write for these men's electric raises

want to do is basically find these kind

this article is ranking for the same

keyword with the same article I mean for

this mu our new keyword with the same

article it basically it usually means

that these kind of phrase doesn't have

as you can see this website 10 viscom is

ranking for this phrase for our new

phrase with with the same article as we

checked in our previous example and that

is a good sign it means that if you will

create an article with this title and

will put this into into URL and into the

description and everything like and the

whole article is going to be above the

best electric shaving razor for men you

will outrank 10 Beast comic for sure and

you will you will take better place than

them their article askmen.com is it

question answer or not really no not

really because question-and-answer

websites like war are your answers if

they appear in top 10 it's a good sign

as well it will be quite easy to outrank

them

so here is another one shaver info for

men it also as you can see only 62

indexed pages in Google all backlinks 41

but this one is domain even is ranking

so it's also another good sign so

they're running for this keyword phrase

with their domain not with a particular

page so it will be quite easy to to

outrank them as well and here is another

one five best electric electric shavers

and here the they have 16 so this this

keyword phrase is has very low

competition and it's a very good keyword

phrase to write a new article about so

yes

this is so I would take both both of

both of so I would keep both of these

keywords put them both into a separate

sheet a separate text file have the one

that like the one that has keyword

phrases that have the one the one where

I put keyword phrases that I want that I

will write articles the one that I

the one where I keep keyword phrases

that I'm going to use for my website and

yes and continue search and again I'm

inside on million pages four hundred

old as well very established 1998 and

and so on so this is an example of of a

keyword that you don't want to try to

rank for you want to let's say keep this

keyword as as mich for your website or

for a category on your website if you

are if you have for example your website

engines so if I'm searching for keywords

in YouTube for my videos for example I

switch to YouTube tab and then look for

keywords as you can see weight loss is

very broad keyword phrase and there are

a lot and a lot of different variations

of keyword phrases that includes this

couple of words and when you search in

Google AdWords Google AdWords doesn't

provide you with really long keyword

phrases like that have low

search volume monthly but at the same

time they usually tend to have extremely

low competition and they are one of the

best ones to write the content about and

try to rank naturally so as an example

we search for weight loss and let's

scroll down a little bit one of the best

keyword phrases to try to rank for are

the questions because when you rank for

a question and the person is looking

like typing this question into Google

they're looking for the answer and then

if your answer is of high value you

answer exactly what visitor was looking

for then you can offer other solutions

like some products or additional

information and so on can green tea help

with weight loss if you try to run for

green tea for weight loss or green tea

to lose weight or lose weight with green

tea or weight green tea weight loss or

something like that there will be high

competition and it will take ages to try

to rank for those keywords the research

ants that you are not going to rank for

these keywords at all but when you aim

for this kind of really long tail

keyword phrase as this question for

example can green tea help with weight

relatively easy to rank for it just

so what do we do with these results I

just copy it then go to keyword planner

and if you remember at the beginning of

the video I said that sometimes I use as

a second option get search volume data

and trends so for this part of keyword

research I use exactly this particular -

what it does it provides you with

monthly keyword search volume so we type

in this keyword phrase and check search

volume it doesn't give you any like

synonyms or other options and it had

group ideas or anything like that what

it does it literally gives you a

proximal search monthly searches

for a particular keyword phrase as you

can see this longtail keyword phrase has

monthly searches from 100 to 1,000 and

it is actually a very good keyword

phrase so if you are into weight loss

niche it's worth looking into so this

how I use these - one of the good ways

to use this tool is to type in the

keyword that you want to write an

article about for example electric

shavers type in here check all the

results go through the whole list and

write down all the keyword phrases that

you can put into one article since these

kind of keyword phrases

quite often will have very low amount of

monthly searches yet they will be

related to each other you can just

create a

massive article of like three four

thousand words including multiple kind

of long tail keyword phrases or

questions and answer each question in a

few paragraphs but since they all will

have a common keyword like electric

shavers or electric shavers for men then

they will be all related and cover let's

say for Google it will be a very good

solid high value article that will cover

multiple questions multiple points and

and so on and you will have high chance

to rank really well with minimal effort

in SEO in backlinks and other things

then there is another magic tool which

called keyword share calm weight loss

it gives you well first of all it gives

also it will show you keyword difficulty

so what you want or what you can do you

can check by difficulty and sort out

with lowest difficulty on top in this

case it's gonna be 40 is quite low so

right here is going to be top 10 of the

websites and as you can see it will not

be too difficult to outrank this website

but it will be familiar difficult to how

to rank the second website 81 and

basically top four but anyway in weight

loss you don't want to try and rank in

weight loss because it will be extremely

difficult either way it just just an

example as you can see this tool is

really simple to use you can use a free

version it will give you some limited

information some limited searches i

think only once a day or like a couple

of times a day I'm not really sure right

now but there are a couple of plans

paid plans that you I think you have to

pay annually it's not too expensive if

you split it into month monthly pays and

if you are really into affiliate

marketing and you're going to write

content on regular basis for your

website for a new affiliate marketing

project or old regular basis as I always

recommend to write in your article every

week or every two weeks then this kind

of tool may help you a lot to simplify

the whole process and make it easier
